Salt Creek Kennels

Salt Creek Kennels is a boon for those who like to travel and own dogs that enjoy the outdoors. It’s run by Lisa and Curtis who are both friendly and willing to work with their clientele. Kennels are spacious and outdoors but protected from the weather and sun. They contain an elevated dog house and you are free to bring along toys and beds from home.
The price is significantly better than other area boarding options and the kennels themselves are four times the size of an indoor kennel’s offerings. Dogs are let out to run their energy out in a fenced-​in play area and there are lots of new sensations and smells for them to enjoy like sheep and horses in neighboring stables.
They also provide training opportunities for sport and herding dogs but I’ve never personally used these features.
I would recommend this business to anyone looking to keep their outdoor-​friendly family member in capable and trustworthy hands.

We recently boarded our dog there and let me tell you, it was great. The owner was super friendly and knowledgeable. Customer service is obviously important to them (versus a lot of the doggie-​day cares that could care less!)
The facilities were clean and exactly as described on their website. Our dog loved it and seemed to have had a great time. The price is GREAT and we were just overall very happy with our experience.
Now … you should know that the kennels are outside. This is not the place to board EVERY type of dog … We’ve got an outdoorsy large breed. I wouldn’t recommend for a small dog or one not used to being outside.
