I really like their food. The service is excellent. The décor is pretty cool, and they have a giant TV Wall inside and outside. Their chips and queso is my favorite, as is their Shrimp Alfredo entrée, and brownie & ice cream dessert. Rachel’s is my favorite restaurant in Savannah. I started going to Rachel’s for their awesome drinks, and now I go for their amazing food.

I was scrolling through the reviews and noticed all the horrible reviews are listed under not recommended reviews. Does this place pay to have them not at the regular review section. Almost every review seems to state that the food is okay, the service is horrible, the staff is rude and the owners husband is a douche.

So… Where to start? I am going to break this down the old way. 1 – 5 scale with 5 being best (I try to go here every now and then because it is close to me, but every time its a different experience ESPECIALLYDURINGFOOTBALLGAMES Appearance — 4 — Not to bad for a local place. the wooden décor gives it that warm homey cheers feeling. On the flip side because of the dark wood, even with lights it seems kinda dark in there. Food & Drink — 3.5 — Its OK, Nothing special. The wings are pretty damn good and my King George Burger(which I order every time) is amazing! Enough Burger to feed two people, believe me! The Jalapeño Poppers are OK and so is the calamari. I tried some of the monster chicken parm and its not to bad either but its nothing I would brag about to anyone or probably mention at all. The Full bar is pretty decent and has a good selection of beers in bottles and on tap as well as liquor. Depending on what time you come to this place you are better off trying to get a table even if its only to drink because the bar is really not that big. Service– 3– OK, so sometimes the truth is hard to swallow and this place probably doesnt want to hear about it but I have been here about 10 times and the average of my service comes out to be a 3. Sometimes I get an awesome waitress and sometimes I don’t get a waitress at all. Yes I said it, NONEATALL. I sat down, a girl cleaning a table said she would see if she could get someone to pick me up so I waited… and waited… and waited some more… hell I waited about a hour and twenty minutes before i got up and walked out. It is sad because I had 3 different waitress look at me and just keep going about doing what they were doing. Never mind I was at a big ass table with no water no beer, no nothing! did I mention NOBEER! It is what it is. I have come to expect hit or miss service when I come here. Don’t get me wrong I still visit this place regardless because it is within a bike ride from my house. I still just look back to the first few times i ate here and remember that awesome service i received about 2 years ago and hope that it will eventually come back.

Spent almost $ 200 on apps and mostly beer. Good thing was trivia. We won and got $ 25 of the alcohol tab and $ 25 cash; which was used for the tip. Bad thing was our server Brandi was a non attentive server and severely lacked a sense of humor and was overly sensitive. I made a minor comment early in the evening and she got all whiney and told the manager, who decided to let me know as I was paying the bill 5hrs later. The mgr also felt it necessary to tell me how to tip on a discounted tab. That was more insulting, since I had been a bartender and waited tables for over ten years. So, food was ok. Wings and Calamari were avreage; jalapeño poppers– frozen and not woth eatting. Beer selection was good(bourbon barrel ale). Trivia was fun. It’s a bar with average to less than average food. Just don’t expect much.

Great little place to stop in, the free jello Shots are a huge bonus, and the food is good. Great pricing, good specials, the outdoor area is nice, my only drawback is at times they are busier than the staff can handle. I will be visiting often during football season

Great place to grab a quick bite or watch the game. They have free jello shots for your team if you wear gear during the game. The Greek chicken pita is delicious. Definately will be frequenting this football season!

I’m currently trying to work a deal to see if they’ll keep my ashes here when I die. Rachaels 1190 is for America. Hands down best place to eat, watch football, and drink beer. Their food and drinks are awesome and so are the people that work and go there. It’s a sense of community there. When I think of Rachaels 1190 I think of a hooters girl riding an eagle holding a football and drinking a Sam Adams. Because that’s how American it is. If you don’t like rachaels then you’re a communist Bastard with a fat wife who sleeps around. That is all.

This place has some cool things on the menu. I have tried the fish and chips and the huge club sandwich and have been very happy. I have also tried their speciality pizzas, Mom Recipe is a delightful pizza with chicken and pesto sauce. Tonight I tried the chicken and waffle sandwich with onion rings. This was served with a dipping sauce for the rings that was cool and zesty at the same time… yum! There was also maple syrup to dip the sandwich in. The sandwich had bacon and cheese as well as the tender chicken strips. Soooo good. We were there during happy hour, buy one get one. I had a cold Yingling and my friend had a Blue Moon. He also has the biggest serving of chicken nachos I have ever seen!!! EATHERR!!!

Great service and even better food, Rachael herself came to the table and talked to us giving us that small town feel we know so well. I had the fish and chips with the homemade tartar sauce, fantastic! We will be back for sure when we are back in Savannah

We’ve recently moved to the Georgetown/Savannah area and have so far been mildly disappointed in most places we’ve eaten with a couple of exceptions. I must mention, we are also in the restaurant industry so we’re probably a little picky. After saying all that I have to say that we are very pleased with Rachael’s 1190! The server, Alicia was very friendly and knowledgeable and she kept our drinks full. The food was really tasty! We started with the pimento dip(yummy) and had the special of the night which was sirloin with blue cheese, mac and cheese and green beans. The steak was a very nice cut with lot’s of flavor and everything else was nice and fresh. Good beer selection, as well. The music they had on was great and at a nice level for dinner, as well. And the TV’s were not overwhelmingly loud. I just noticed someone on here complained the food took too long. You should expect to wait a little longer for fresh to order food to come out, I wouldn’t expect anything less. And it was worth waiting a little longer. Thank you! I’ve been here a dozen or more times. Rachel’s is a divey local bar with tons of regulars and good food. Friday and Saturday nights get really busy and there is usually a good band playing.
The bar: It’s large with their«famous» video wall, which is a good spot to watch a sporting event. The one pool table is usually busy, but put your quarters on the rail and you will eventually get in a game. The dining room: It is also large; however, I’ve never made it past the bar or patio. It seems to be usually full like the bar when I’ve been in. TVs throughout so you can catch your favorite game here too or watch House Wives of Wherever with the sound off… which is the best way to watch these shows. The patio: Is a great spot when the weather is nice, so that nixes the summer months. This is also the smoking are, but I’ve never noticed the smoke to where it was bothersome. Food: The burgers, wings, and cheese sticks are good and so is the Fried Green BLT sandwich. There’s nothing gourmet on the menu, so don’t expect anything fancy. Rachel’s has cold beer, good staff and customers, a full bar and bar food, it’s all simple but good.

Delicious food, not too expensive. Just got a basic cheeseburger and waffle fries. Nothing fancy but the burger was made exactly as requested, the waffle fries weren’t overly crunchy but none were undercooked. Beer wasn’t flat by any means which is sometimes a worry. I sat down outside without going to get a waitress and had someone checking on me before I could finish my cigarette. Have yet to have a bad experience here!

I don’t think I can say one single positive thing about my experience here. I called in a carry out order and spoke to an extremely unprofessional and young server. To give you an example: I asked for a Caesar salad and a wedge salad with blue cheese dressing. She then asked me if I wanted any dressings with the salads. I said yes… Then she asked what kind of dressing I wanted on my CAESARSALAD(I told her caesar) and then she asked me what kind of dressing I wanted on my BLUECHEESE wedge salad! When she asked about the second salad I thought she must be joking, but sadly, I kid you not. It took forever just to communicate the order and after a frustrating back and forth I finally placed the order. Shortly thereafter I got a phone call back which I missed. So I immediately called them back. They picked up the phone by just saying«hello?» Proceeded by laughing in the background and then she corrected her mistake and gave the restaurants regular greeting. Then she asked how I wanted the sirloin cooked. After being put on hold for a few more minutes I finally got off the phone again, thinking that all was fine. When we unpacked the food back at home(a mere 5 min away) I cannot tell you how appalled I was that they would send this food out of the kitchen. See the pictures. Rotten, wilted, brown lettuce. They only sent Caesar dressing(after the whole original debacle on dressings and requesting blue cheese, Caesar, and ranch for our three different salads). Burned meat, soggy bread, missing ingredients that were listed on the menu, etc. I could go on and on, but the point is that everything was truly revolting. We ended up throwing most of it away — and it wasn’t cheap. I haven’t had this poor of an experience at a restaurant in a long time or potentially ever. DONOTEATHEREUNDERANYCIRCUMSTANCES! Terrible terrible service and food. Steer clear — you’ve been warned.

We live within a waking distance from Rachael’s. It’s a decent place to hang out, such a convenient location in Georgetown. I was really impressed with the food! To be honest, I was expecting generic bar food prior to me going there like most bars. BUT… the food was great! Will totally visit this bar again.

Don’t even visit this place anymore because the one male bartender is very ignorant. Told the owner and was told that the ignorant bar tender is the manager. Peace!

We ordered a bacon cheese burger with waffle fries, Fried green tomato BLT with onion rings, and the Mediterranean pita. Everything was delicious. Our server Bradley was great. Will definitely return.

I have been here many times now, and it seems pretty unreliable. So I’ll make a few points: One-Their mixed drinks are no good. Don’t even attempt to order a martini. Just stick with beer. Two-The service is pretty scratchy. Sometimes its okay. Other times it is very frustrating. Three-The food is okay. Burgers are good. But I have had my order messed up on more than one occassion. It’s not a horrible place to go, but they could really raise the bar a bit. Especially on training their servers and bartenders.

A local jewel hidden within Georgetown. The food is great, cheap drinks, and convenient when you do not want to travel to downtown Savannah. Sometimes you will see a crowd of people outside smoking and some days the food can take a while to be prepared, but overall this is a great place. The owners are very friendly. I recommend stopping by! Stop by on Wednesday evening for a burger and a beer for five dollars!

Five stars for the food and portion size. I really enjoyed the food, and the portions were huge(entrée and dessert)! The service was pretty slow(there were plenty of servers for the crowd size(small-medium), and here’s an important tip: If you are there during happy hour where you get BOGO(buy one get one free) make sure you go up to the BAR for your second one if it’s almost ending time for the special. If you miss the cut off, you just might not get the 2nd one free if you wait for the server. The bartenders were great at offering me a drink when I came by the bar, and making sure I was taken care of. Unfortunately, I was at a table playing free poker and unable to avail myself of their good service.
