By hotel and decided to eat at Perkins, food was amazing, service was Excellent. Had the club sandwich. It was delicious. They serve breakfast all day among a lot of other food. Close to hotel and I-95. If in Savannah try Perkins. Reasonably price excellent food and service. Surprised it only has 3 stars.

4 star for Perkins’ reliable, no nonsense breakfasts. 1 star for the ridiculously negligent service. I was eager to be back on the road, so I deliberately picked this chain within view of gas stations &I95, over many unique and highly rated places a half hour away in Savannah. Big mistake. A full half hour after my order was rung, the food appeared. Luke warm, and like an after thought. Pass this by, travellers.

If you want roaches in your drinks and food, come here. If you want to eat off dirty plates, come here. If you want to eat food that was cooked by cooks wearing no hair nets or gloves, come here. If you want to eat food that was touched by servers wearing no gloves & eat the food you order off your plate before they bring it to you, come here. If you like eating old bakery items baked on dirty equipment, come here. If you want to eat someplace where they prep food(frozen meat, corn, etc) everywhere but the prep area &DONTUSEGLOVES in the back, come here. If you want to work here, DONT!!! USECAUTION. I really don’t like Perkins in general, and this place is even worse. We were hoping for a decent breakfast, something better than a drive through sausage biscuit, but we would have been better off with McDonalds. We should have been tipped off by the bad Unilocal reviews. We really should have been tipped off by the sign advertising for Servers, Hostess, AND Cooks. I kid you not, it is like everyone quit and left only a few behind to fend for themselves. The service was horrid. The hostess(if that is who she was) basically waved at us from across the room. I was not sure she was waving at us or not, but after looking around we followed her. our server was polite and all that, but then the food took forever … I mean more than 45 minutes to show up. I ran out of coffee but to no avail for a refill. The food itself was sort of thrown together on a place, and the sausage was swimming in grease. Oh yeah, before I forget, the table was quickly wiped with a wet rag before we sat down. I took a napkin to dry off the table, and it was brown with slime from the rag, or from days of table traffic or never being cleaned. Don’t know, it was gross, and that was our third chance to leave … but instead we stuck it out. Dude, never again. The muffin I got was nearly stale, and had no taste. The eggs were cold.

Once again, what a pleasant surprise! The average rating is only 3 stars but I give it 4 when it comes to breakfast. The Smashers are great! Very convenient to the local lodging off I-95.

I stopped in for breakfast not expecting much. It was close to the highway and my husband remembered this place from when he was younger. Well I was pleasantly surprised. Our waitress was very nice and attentive, our breakfast was great and the coffee was not bad either. When I paid I realized they had a special on the homemade cookies so I walked out with a dozen for just over 8.00. It’s defiantly older and run down but if you get past that then I think you might enjoy a breakfast as well if you happen to be in the area driving by.

Tried it one more time because my 2 kids wanted to go. The place was empty and it took about 18 minutes to get our food. That was fine and the food was decent but the hostess dropped my menu on the tile floor right where they all stand and use the registers. The inserts fell out and it was splayed all over the ground where they are constantly standing and walking. The place where they stand after walking around in the kitchen, outside, and across the nasty bathroom floors! She picked it right up and tried to seat us and give me that menu. GROSS! Thank god I grabbed a new one as we walked by. Nastiness.

Perkin’s Peanut Butter Fudge Pie is amazing! Just wish it didn’t have 959 Calories for 1 Slice.

My wife and I use to love this place, in the land of Ihop and waffle house, lest we forget dennys… Perkins usually is my go to for breakfast. For the last few times we have been to this Perkins we have had increasingly worse service from forgetting to greet us to this visit in which we had a space cadet server who greeted us then disappeared, then we had someone else come in halfway and take our order and serve us the rest of the meal. My wife ordered the country biscuit platter(she was so excited for this meal) came out wrong sent it back and it came out wrong again, everything on my plate was burned except for the hashbrowns and the coffee even said fuck it this time. Anyway avoid this place like we will from here on out was a great eat for 9+ years now is far from it.

My experience with my boys here was beyond bad in every aspect… from the hostess making us wait forever… to the table we were seated at being dirty… to the food we were served being mediocre at best… Perkins elsewhere have been amazing… But this one. in my humble name it doesn’t deserve the Perkins name

So on our way back from Virginia heading to Florida the wife and I decide to stop for some food at the half way point. She saw a sign for Perkins and remembered having it as a child so Perkins it was, and that’s where the excitement stopped. We walk in, and be the only customers in the establishment I assume service would be great, boy was I wrong. One of the waiters, male, greets us and grabs menus, then proceeds to hand off our menus to another waitress as if was too busy but clearly he was not. She sits up and before we could even sit down wanted to take our drink order. She came back with our waters pretty fast, and said she’d give us a minute to glance over the menu. That minute turned into about 10, now if the place was busy I would somewhat understand but we were the only customers. What made it worst was she was on the other side of the building chatting it up with the initial waiter the whole time. Backs to us just giggling and having a great time while my 8 month pregnant wife and I wait to place our order. We finally place our order and of course we waited another 20 minutes for a burger and patty melt. But for such a long wait the food should be good right? The food was great, burger was tender, bacon was cooked perfectly and we even had dessert. If it wasn’t for the food this review would’ve been a lot worst but it was this restaurants saving grace. I wanted to give 2 stars but I’d hate to be so harsh on a business because of one crappy waitress.

Stopped in here for lunch on a Sunday. It was not a typical Perkins restaurant, no cafeteria style. The service was OK and the food was average. Really expected the traditional Perkins.

Nice variety for breakfast, and more side options than other breakfast places(toast, pancakes, french toast, muffins, etc.). Eggs were cooked perfectly, hash browns were nice and crispy. My only complaint is that the staff seemed a bit over eager. I would have liked a little more time to read the menu, but the server made me feel pressured to make a decision. I would visit again.

my wife and I happened to come across this restaurant and we were glad we did. the waitress was very happy and helpful in recommending what was good for dinner today. the food was great and we walked away full. We came back for breakfast the next day and we were not disappointed, when we are in the area we will stop by again

We went out for Thanksgiving Dinner and couldn’t find much open and spotted this restaurant and decided to give it a try. The Thanksgiving Dinner consisted of sliced Turkey Breast, Stuffing, Gravy, Mashed Potatoes, Broccoli, Cranberry Sauce(from a can) and Pumpkin Pie. I won’t rate the meat since I didn’t taste it. My husband said the meat was ok. The mashed potatoes were fresh, the broccoli was cooked to perfection. However, you could substitute it for another side dish. I didn’t have the Pumpkin Pie don’t care for Pumpkin. I am a Sweet Potato Custard Pie Person. My husband ate his Pumpkin PIe. I opted to take home a slice of apple pie. The apple pie to my surprise was rather good. Distinct pieces of apple that weren’t over sweet and a nice flakey crust.

Good food. Good service. Unfortunately, their advertised«free Wi-Fi» cannot be connected to. When I asked my server how to connect to WiFi she said«connect to Econolodge when it comes up.» The solution should never be to streak someone else’s bandwidth. Especially from a self-proclaimed«family restaurant.» I may try again next week and see if there is a change. If so, I will update this review.

Not as good as the only other one I have ever been to in Marshfield, WI, but it beats Huddle House and all of the other breakfast places. Our waitress, Ivy, was very attentive and the Eggs Benedict tasted just like at home.

Stopped on our way home to Miami from North Carolina. Kids were hungry and since Perkins doesn’t exist in Miami, we decided to stop. The place itself is grimy and run-down. The only positive was our waitress, April. She was very nice. However, our food was not good. My husband’s French toast was stale and undercooked. His mediocre sweet tea came out in a dirty cup. The kids quesadilla was also stale and their«fresh» fruit was mushy. My breakfast potatoes were over cooked. Just an overall gross dining experience.

Salad was good. Turkey, gravy, and dressing were too salty. Mashed potatoes were inedible. Sweet tea was great. Chocolate cream pie was ok, crust tasted a little stale. April our waitress was excellent. My husband and niece enjoyed their meals. My hubby had the Tremendous 12 breakfast and my niece had a grilled cheese sandwich and a salad. The 12 year old niece stated that the salad was really good and she ate all of it, something she never does. I would give them another try. I liked the quiet ambiance.

Ok, so the food at Perkins isn’t top notch stuff but the quesadilla I had was better than just edible and the waitress was memorable. They also have some pretty incredible pies, but I think they could save some money by serving half of what they do. I didn’t make a dent in my French Silk deliciousness.
