This is my story, our experience.(my gf and I) First off the main office was approx one block away from the actually hotel which is ODD. The Native American middle eastern front desk individual was polite, and offer to check the room before actually settling in which I found very unusual. We approached the hotel building, The building was in poor conditions & The main door to the hotel wasn’t lock, and didn’t lock which meant it was unsafe. The hall ways were dirty, and smelled horrible. The hotel gave us the creeps. As we approached our room we noticed that the other door to the main entrance of the hotel was knocked down. We entered our room and we noticed a bad odor lingering around the room, the floor was extremely dirty and there was 2 flies flying around. Overall the room seemed similar to those psych board rooms for insane people or a local prison cell, very dirty. There was no phone to call the front desk. We left our room and walked to the main office, requested another room, the front desk native Indian middle eastern individual said Fine, we left and our room was located in the other side, we noticed a bag full of garbage in the halls, all the way up high, it was gross. I want my money back, honestly the homeless shelter is possibly better. The new room we went didn’t have a fridge was also very dirty and had an bad odor similar to a animal morgue, the floors were dirty, the bathroom was in poor conditions. The TV didn’t have a remote, the bed sheets had stains, Also someone staying in that hotel offered me marijuana, they said«they have mids» of course I said No. The next morning As we were leaving the building prison cell Hotel, the same person was smoking weed in the hall way and was waving at us. Planing on getting my money back.

Beware! This place was DISGUSTING… One of the ten worst dumps I have ever stayed in during a long career of international travel. The carpets look like they haven’t been cleaned in months, there are weird stains everywhere and the rooms smell like a morgue for small animals. Part of the deception is the separate main building where they book you in – it looks like a bank branch with a pineapple corporate logo and is in fairly good repair. When you get into the actual hotel room block, it looks like it has been through a war. DONOT stay here unless you are desperate, as the management is clearly trying to rely on people booking via the internet without seeing what a horror show the place really is. I paid over $ 70 bucks for this: a criminal ripoff. Masters Inn, you are truly at the bottom of the lodging barrel.

Keep in mind: YOUGETWHATYOUPAYFOR! I booked this room on kayak for $ 40 a night and wasn’t expecting a luxurious experience. With that said, I’m going to initially focus on the positive aspects of this establishment: low rates, pet friendly, convenient location. You can walk to a drugstore or a grocery store in less than 2 minutes. The pool was completely empty the whole time we were there. It’s a 10 minute drive to downtown Savannah and a 25 minute drive to the beach. Ok: now the reality: it’s VERY dirty! The grounds are Ok, not littered, the room itself was gross. The toilet only half flushed. Take your own linens, treat it like a camp site if you’re travelling on a budget. If you’re going to Savannah or Tybee and just looking for a place to lay your head, the hotel is OK. While walking my dog I also found a homeless encampment at the edge of the parking lot. I am not judging the homeless, but, desperate people do desperate things, so watch yourself very closely in the parking lot, try to stay in the perimeter of the main office if possible. Do NOT wander past the back of the building!!! All in all it was simply OK, I will probably stay there again b/c of the convenient location and they allow dogs, but I will be taking my own sheets and a can of mase with me next time.
