Diamond in the rough! Great place for great food. This is a small town diner so don’t come here expecting Applebees or better. This is a diner with food you can make at home. It’s amazingly cheap in a good way. I got a double bacon cheeseburger and it was amazing and a HUGE basket of fries. My meal was 8 bucks. I get a baconator at Wendy’s and a large fry which is less than the basket and it’s 11 dollars. Amazing cheap diner. Great food.

Breakfast was good and they have a good amount of options. Wish they would have had a French Toast meal option but few places do. Price is about average for a dinner type restaurant. Net time your near savannah and hungry it a nice stop. They also have ice cream!

A serviceable, local diner that has all the staples. The breakfast was nothing special but the food was all tasty and for the most part, the portions were generous. I got the country fried steak, which should have been called«Fried Salisbury», it was ground beef not a steak. Still, great batter and fry, it was very tasty, especially under some sauceage gravy. Our waitress was nice, polite and prompt. The décor and atmosphere leave a lot to be desired, but the portions and prices more than make up for it. Nothing fancy here, just a good, hearty, homestyle meal.

I don’t find many places that are below at least two stars, but I found one! No prize for that achievement… 1) Dirty tables everywhere! I mean like every table had dirty dishes and crumbs and needed to be wiped down. We were there between 1:30 and 2:30 pm on a Saturday afternoon. There were two other people dining, no excuse for that filth. 2) Men’s restroom(hubby reported back) was out of soap and the bathroom was nasty. He had to walk out to the car and use our stash of hand sanitizer. Ick! 3) Waitresses were high school age and clueless. They were trying but just not succeeding. I blame management on this entirely as they had zero supervision and training apparently. The hubby ordered an omelette which he very clearly asked for just ham and NO cheese, waitress even confirmed the NO cheese. Food comes out with a very cheesy omelette, had to have it sent back as the hubby can’t tolerate cheese at all. Fail. Refills were slow to arrive as well. She was all flustered and complaining that some other waitress wasn’t here yet. Really? I kind of don’t care about your staffing issues, so get me more soda. 4) Food arrives with a missing egg and no toast. I never did get my toast, ohh well. The hubby’s omelette, aside from being incorrect, was the lamest thing ever. It was obviously the egg in a carton stuff and thin as a piece of paper. They then folded this paper thing egg concoction like a burrito with some diced up greasy ham inside. Weirdest omelette I’ve ever seen. Not fluffy or tasty at all(I tried a bite of his discarded cheesy mess of an omelette). My pancakes were SALTY and tasted mostly of flour. I even had my hubby try it and he literally spit it out. Unluckily for me I had just previously ran a half marathon and desperately needed the food or I was in the verge of passing out, so I choked down half of the cakes. 5) Hashbrowns were good. There is the star. The only reason we came out to BFE Savanah, Ohio was because a reviewer in a local newspaper was singing this place praise. I don’t know if we just had a single terrible experience, but I didn’t see how any of their food could be good based on this. We regretted the drive out there and were actually pretty upset we had to fill our bellies with such slop. Avoid this restaurant!
