Located on the ground floor of the Art Center at City Market, A. T Hun Art Gallery is should be your first stop for a continued great art experience. The gallery is large compared to many of it’s competitors within the center and they claim to have«the city’s most eclectic art», featuring both local and international, contemporary artists. And I can vouch for the eclectic side, they truly have a huge variety of original paintings, from colorful animal paintings to «cute» clay sculptures, the gallery is a permanent home to at least eight artists with a handful of rotating work as well. Enter the gallery, take in your fill, and leave through the«back door», which leads into the heart of the Art Center at City Market.

Quirky colorful gallery showcasing lots of local artists and a pleasant variety of mediums and styles of art. Staff is always pleasant, helpful, and engaging. The vibe is very relaxed and not at all stuffy, which I love. They accept credit cards, offer a layaway program, and will ship pieces home for you. My husband and I recently visited from Raleigh and fell in love with a piece here, visiting three times before ultimately purchasing it. April gave us great background information on the artist whose work we were admiring, made us feel very comfortable as we contemplated our purchase(always ready to answering questions but also giving us the time and space we needed) and was just all around a lovely person to interact with. We decided to utilize their layaway program which was easy and will allow us to make monthly payments over the phone. Instead of having it shipped, we’re excited to plan a return trip to pick up James Dean painting we purchased and look forward to displaying it in our home. Highly recommend this gallery. Thanks again, April, for all of your help!

The artwork is eclectic and colorful. Their collection of Lebowski artwork is second to none. They have many other pieces to choose from. Very cool place.

Not your grandma’s art gallery. Seriously, I love this gallery. It’s fun, eclectic and full of interesting little treasures. A true gem located in downtown Savannah. I found this off-beat little gallery/retail shop while searching for something else entirely while shopping along Saint Julian Street. I literally just happened upon it. I’m so glad that I did. What a find! The owner is friendly, personable and is willing to give special deals on merchandise. I found one of my favorite pieces of artwork here, a pastel chalk drawing that I believe was done by the owner. Another piece I picked up here for a song is a black and white pen and ink drawing by a lesser-known Savannah artist that I wouldn’t part with for anything, even though it could be construed as a little«dark» in tone. I even have an A.T. Hun t-shirt, though by now it’s riddled with bleach stains, but I won’t throw it out. If you want something unique to adorn your walls, this is the place. Plenty of Savannah’s best artists, known or not, have their works featured here. Good prices, great selection, and unique wares, and customer service that is beyond reproach. There’s such a nice vibe once you step inside. Music playing in the background, the owner whipping up some cool new piece, customers chatting with each other about anything that moves them. Do not miss out on one if Savannah’s hidden treasures.

What a waste of time. About 200 pieces of overpriced art that is not worth the canvas it is painted on. Most of the more colorful works look like something that could be bought at a college book store poster fair.

This is by far one of the most unique art galleries for purchasing art that we have been to. First off, the owner is incredibly friendly and talented himself. A few times when we have been in, he has been playing the keyboard while we strolled around looking at the incredible display of artwork on the walls. It really made the experience relaxing and entertaining all at once. The artwork is unbelievably cool here. One of my favorite artists, James Dean, has his«Pete The Cat» canvases on display here for sale, and they are breathtaking. Also, at the time when we were there, they had beautiful mosaics from Laura Burch Lingle on display. This is definitely the place to go for local artists of Savannah, eclectic artwork, and cool/kitschy inspirational pieces. It is located in the city market area of the historic district.

Boy & I stopped in here while waiting for our carriage tour to start. His mother complained we didn’t have enough art on the walls of the apartment. We haven’t been busting it to improve that. There were a wide range of artists and styles. The owner was in there and enthusiastically talking to another customer about his inspirations. I immediately fell in love with the Pete the Cat pieces. I’m a sucker for a good story and cats. The artist had both. The real pieces were way out of our price range(not to mention how to get them home), so we settled on a print of Pete sitting in the Mona Lisa’s lap. Just enough tongue in cheek. The woman working the counter had a great sense of humor(and accent). She and the owner were poking fun at each other. I like a workplace like that. I think the artists rotate in and out. I would be happy to stop in here again to shop for more art.

Sweet little art shop. Not your usual lineup. Unique and playful. Also, if you are a Big Lebowski fan, they have a lot of art inspired by the film. My brother got me a big print of Walter yelling«mark it zero!». Its an impressive piece for my guest bedroom, keeps people on their toes. If you are strolling through the city market, check this place out!

I’ve been in here many many times and never thought to review it. It’s a gathering of local artists’ work. Eclectic and fun, bright and shiny. There’s something for everyone. One of the artists is obsessed(in a good way) with The Big Lebowski and has many many paintings of different scenes from the movie. This place is right in the heart of City Market. Definitely worth walking in.
