I can see why Unilocal has this«store» categorized as an art gallery. It struck me as a post-retirement hobby by an owner who justified his/her antique hunting to his/her spouse by pretending it generates income. I’ve been in zillions of vintage shops, but I’ve never seen a place with more«DONOTTOUCH! ASKATDESKTOSEE!» signs. The shoes, dresses, china, books… Everything was off limits. I was going to make a lovely collage of these plentiful signs, but, unsurprisingly, no photos allowed. Nothing was well maintained. Apparently the store owner is him/herself afraid to touch the merchandise, because nothing had been dusted or shined in decades. I’m sure the glassware and china would have looked lovely with some proper care. To boot, the prices were outrageous. I get that it’s an «antique store» and not a flea market, but please. For example, a vintage travel bar set(suitcase with spots for cups and shaker) was listed at $ 195! I’ve been looking for a set like this, so I can confidently say that’s 4x the prices on Etsy(not exactly a cheap spot) and 8x flea market and vintage bazaar prices for similar sets. Bottom line: overpriced and not great merchandise.(Besides, I’d never give my business to a store that was so offended by the notion that my touch might tarnish their wares.)

I was in town visitng a friend and I was so excited cause it was my first time in San Fran! I have also been told on several occasions that San Fran is a big town when it comes to vintage finds, so I was looking forward to getting my shop on! If I see something antique or vintage and I fall in love, my hubby will tell the cashier«wrap it up we’re taking it!». I was really happy when we stumbled across this store and I have to admit, they had amazing vintage pieces. But that’s all that they have going on for them. I dress vintage, so I did walk into that store wearing my 1950’s women’s pendleton, my high-waisted denim pants and my saddle shoes. But with the look on the cashier’s face, I must of looked like a gangster from the westside cause she was eyeballing us and following us like we were going to steal from the store. My friend tried to grab an item from a table, and she accidentally knocked a couple of items off the table(items were not breakable) and the lady snapped at her and told her that that’s why she shouldn’t be touching the items. But there was not a sign that saids«Do Not Touch» so I don’t get HOW we should know NOT to touch. Forgice us for not being psychics. So I will give this review a 1 star because I am not able to write a review for 0 stars. What a huge disappointment in customer service which is too bad for the owner of this store. Even though the prices were a little steep, it wouldn’t of mattered to me cause I would have definitely purchased all of the items I was eyeing. Moral of this story is… do not judge a book by its cover. We were in San Francisco for less than 48hrs and we ended up spending about 5k in vintage finds and furniture and had to rent a U-Haul to be able to bring all of our items back home.

The store is beautiful with lots of little treasures to find throughout the displays. The shopkeeper was incredibly friendly and helpful. They have a lot of rare books, which I appreciate. However, everything was far overpriced. I actually have some of the books they were selling, and they were charging far more than what the books are valued at by collectors. Seemed to be the same for other types of items. Made me kinda sad because I wanted to give them some good business.

If you like to play dress up in unique clothing or are looking for luxurious costume accents run to Nana’s Treasures! The minute I walked in the door, Riza, the spirited creative owner, had me draped in a floor length white fox fur from the 50’s! Juicy! The woman has a keen eye! Little hats of pinks and pearls, ruffles, velvets, and unique mirrors speckled through the store abundantly to admire yourself with! Love the antiques and the erotic book collection too! I walked out full of joy with a few new unique treasures and made a new local friend! I will drop by often to see whats new! I am already making a wish list to return for what I wished I had purchased!

Nana’s Treasures is a fabulous gallery of fun and incredible collectibles; with something for everyone! The store is more like a gallery, very nicely designed, colorful and thoughtfully displayed. We had a wonderful time exploring each treasure with warm service of Riza, who was very friendly and knowledgable about everything in the store! You have to stop in here if you are in Sausalito!
