Visited from Seattle for two weeks. Good food, courteous and friendly staff who pay attention but don’t continuously ask you if you need anything or if the food is good or if you want more coffee. They pay attention and pour you coffee when your cup is half full instead of asking you. They watch and take care of you without continually interrupting you like so many other restaurants these days. Great theme and atmosphere. Clean. If toast comes with your order ask them ahead of time to butter the whole slice instead of a dollop in the middle. Oh, and this place substituted a dinner salad for breakfast potatoes! I really detest always having my breakfast come with potatoes. And I’m tired of substituting it for the standard tomatoes or a cup of fruit. Awesome! I love this place and you will, too.

My new favorite spot in Sausalito. Tucked away by fish. and molly stones. They have really fresh avocado and their omelettes are great! I’m a bit upset they use canned jalapeños but oh, well. They use the local Lapperts coffee and it’s good. Definitely coming back.

A new discovered place for breakfast and great coffee! A huge variation of different plates and the service is very friendly. I tried their Mexican omelet which after a bite became very satisfying treat for my stomach. I highly recommend this place for all the locals in Sausalito! Must visit!

A true local gem. The food here is great, and the environment is very relaxed. I had the corned beef Benedict and it surely met my expectations. The portions are perfect and the prices are very fair. Anchorage five is now in my top five!

Solid brunch spot, but pricey for the diner-esque feel. Tricky to find, but the food was good! I had the Avocado Benedict with a pancake on the side(which was a substitution for potatoes). It’s a little steep to pay $ 14 plus extra for the substitution(based on the serving size), but I guess that’s the Sausalito markup. The eggs were yummy and the sauce was not too heavy. The pancake was just ok, didn’t taste homemade or special in any way. I would probably still go back but not my favorite place to eat. Restroom is out back through the kitchen and you need a key to access it. There was a nearby banister we used to secure our bikes while we dined, but not really a place for bike parking.

I’ve been coming to Anchorage with friends(and colleagues – I work near Anchorage) for years! The people who run the place are really awesome. And the food is always yummy. Whether it’s an omelet or the enchiladas or something in between, it’s delicious. And the prices are so reasonable. The neighborhood is the classic ship-building part of Sausalito – if you want to see the economy that helped to build this little city, walk around a bit and head down to the beautiful shoreline after your meal. This place is great… Definitely check it wrote.

Very good! Out of towners that stopped for brunch on the way to Sonoma. I got the Huevos Montana which has avocado and a different cheese — very tangy and flavorful. My hubby had the crab eggs Benedict. The crab itself and dry and overcooked, but the rest of the dish was great. The place is cute, albeit a little kitschy, and the staff is very friendly. They had a good selection of hot sauces not named Tabasco too. Now if only they had more of a coffee menu

Great place for brunch. Came with 4 adults and 2 children under 1 year. Ranchos Huevos Montana was really good, great balance between beans, avocado, tortillas and spices. I ordered the Crab Benedict, definitely not impressed. I believe the crab was frozen and tasted a little overcooked to me. But the actual Benedict and hollandaise sauce was definitely on point. Good thing about this place is they have different versions of an eggs benedict. So I’d recommend anything except the crab benedict :). Overall a good experience and would recommend it. Ample parking, takes credit cards, service was also very good and accommodating with 2 young children. Definitely affordable and a good portion size.

I think they are a 3.5 star place but decided to round down. 4 stars for the food it was all good but the location, ambiance and expensive prices drive the overall rating down for me. Its an older diner type place in a commercial area away from downtown with no views and only two tables outside. The inside is pretty small and was very hot and stuffy. They could use some fans it was uncomfortable the day we were there. The food we had was good everyone liked their meals they were not great but they were good but a bit pricey for an old diner off the beaten path in my opinion. Glad we tried it once for a $ 75.00 lunch for four I would have been happier with a touristy spot on the marina with a nice view and sitting on a nice patio enjoying the harbor.

It’s a neat and cute restaurant! Everything is about ship, anchorage, and ocean! The lamp on the top is a wheel shape with anchorage, the windows looks like the windows from a ship basement, the curtains are full of lighthouses, and there’s so many interesting paintings about ship and water too! The food is good too, I had the salmon with scrambled eggs, with pancake and fresh fruit, only $ 14!

Parking — They have a decently-sized parking lot, and there’s street parking available. Service — Stellar! We called about an hour ahead to see if they could reserve a table for 12. They were willing to hold it for us for an hour, on Father’s Day no less. Food — Delicious! There are so many types of omelettes. I got the Captain Jack, which also came with hash browns(or home fries) and a pancake. It was so much food for only about $ 12!

Odd location, chill wait staff and not overwhelmingly good service. However, the waiter was very informative about their food and happily answered my many questions. I REALLY enjoyed the heuvos montana. The salsa and cheese were a great combination! My girlfriend really enjoyed the corn beef hash and my sister loved the California sandwich. Restaurant is basically attached to an apartment complex on a weird road. Inside is quaint and feels kind of like the hull of a ship.

Solid, decently priced chow. Good breakfast. Great crispy hash browns and Benedicts. I had the crab benny: fresh crab, good flavor but some shells. Also got served a cup of coffee with someone else’s lipstick, but they were apologetic and fixed.

$ 34 for a sausage egg omelette with hash brown potatoes and toast and a Huevos Montana for my wife and I. The food was ok, we were the only customers on a Monday morning at 8:30AM. That should have given us a clue.

This is my favorite spot in Sausalito for brunch. They are speedy, courteous and always delicious. Breakfast *and* Mexican is a win-win. Also, they have the most adorable curtains.

Solid breakfast in Sausalito, located near the docks, near the warehouses, near Jason and Freddy. I came here for breakfast(1 pm on a Saturday) and it wasn’t that packed. They had an array of Eggs Benedict and my eye was on the Dungeoness Crab one. It was around $ 17 +. They make orange juice in house which tastes like a combo of orange and mango with pulp(good). With the eggs benedict you get the option of garlic potatoes, hashbrowns, or salad, because I’m fat i chose the potatoes which was a good choice. The eggs benedict was your standard type, nothing too crazy, it did have a lot of crabs which was nice. Random notes: They have street parking, and the bathrooms are located outside the restaurant in the back. Big Foot will be waiting for you in da back.

Local spot that you would miss if you weren’t paying attention. Great little diner that I would choose anytime when in Marin, especially when the missus wants to visit Heath Ceramics just across the way. Food: Corned beef hash is the cups!(What’s «the cups,» you ask? The Reese’s cups, ’cause they’re the best!). Anyway, corned beef hash with poached eggs and tomato slices is the go-to dish here. Crab specials abound as well, and you can get a nice stack of flapjacks/waffles/whatever. Feel like a burger? They have that too. Good solid diner fare, in my opinion. Service: We had a party of 6 adults and 3 kids, and had to wait a bit for booth/table space to open up, but we hung out at the counter and chatted with the staff. Super-nice and friendly all around. Food came out pretty quickly and without incident, which matters when you have kids being kids. Vibe: Not-at-all-fussy-even-though-you’re-in-Marin-cool. I love diners, and Anchorage 5 is a good one. Chill out and enjoy. Family-friendly: Absolutely, as you would expect with any diner. Kids loved their food(chocolate chip pancake shaped like Mickey Mouse FTW) and were well-entertained by the coloring/drawing on the kids menu. Made for a great brunch. Summary: There are diners everywhere, but sometimes you find one that really speaks to you. Solid food, friendly service, and happy children all made Anchorage 5 a great experience for us.

Typical diner, seems like a place favored by locals and regulars more than tourists. We stopped in at 11am on a Sunday, no lines. Yessss. Eggs florentine, corned beef hash, side of bacon, two coffees = ~$ 48 w/tax + tip. A little on the pricey side for standard diner fare, but it is Marin. My eggs benedict and hashbrowns were pretty good, but the few bites of corned beef hash stolen off the bf’s plate were even better.(Why does food always taste better when you’re sneaking it off your partner’s plate?) They have a great housemade red salsa. The coffee is on the weak side. The service was friendly, laid-back, and generous with the coffee top-offs.

A tucked away breakfast spot for a solid weekend brunch without the line — easy brunching! SCENE: It has a local feel with a modern sailor vibe, being on the waterfront and all. It might have been recently remodeled? They have booths, bar stools, and chairs. Parking was easy and it’s a quick hop to our final destination: Heath Ceramics. FOOD: Variety of Benedict’s like bacon avocado, apple sausage, crab, and veggie; hash browns, potatoes, fruit bowl side options; they have Omelets filled with whatever a girl could want; offer pancakes and waffles; Mexican breakfast options with a variety of hot sauces. Really, their house hot sauce is so good I almost forked my sister for killing it. I really want more of that hot sauce — I didn’t even eat my side of hollandaise on my chicken Benedict because the hot sauce was so freak’n good — it’s like smooth salsa with perfect heat. Ok, maybe it is salsa but I swear they said hot sauce. Whatever it is, it is fantastic. Mimosas: real easy to drink — sweet, fresh, with the pulp(though I’m sure you could get it without pulp). Beer– they have lots of beer. Pancakes: my nephew had blueberry from the kids menu which came with eggs and sausage. He liked that it looked like a big mouse! I liked that they gave him a cup with a lid — smart. SERVICE Great! I’m pretty sure it’s been run by the same family for years; if not, it has that strong family vibe. Very friendly staff — I like that. BOTTOMLINE This is an excellent hidden breakfast spot for weekend brunch — if you can find it! Easy brunching. You might have a wait, but not nearly as long as the tourist spots and the food is good without the extra grease. I’d never heard of it until this weekend — maybe it’s supposed to be a secret? Oops. Enjoy!

Stopped in here for breakfast on the way to Sonoma for a friends wedding. The food was pretty good. The service was so so… Plenty of options and near the water.
