New XingLong Asian Cafe & Catering

Food was good. Had the General Chicken, Black pepper beef, crab Rangoon and the roast pork fried rice.
The reason that they get a 2 is because the daily combos comes with choice of appetizer. The lady taking my order never gave me that option and didn’t include them in my order. Robbery!!!

My regular thai place (along with many other restaurants) was closed on christmas so i decided to give this place a try. It was awesome they were open on the holiday. I ordered the crispy pad thai, my friend the regular pad thai. Huge portions which i love and appreciate however the food was just not good. When i called to order delivery they were super nice, i got my food in a timely manner however the pad thai was probably the worst ive ever had. I’ll probably never try this restaurant again but if you do, order anything but the pad thai

Pad Thai was good except the fact they didn’t de vein the shrimp! Are you kidding me! Nothing like a black line running down the back of my shrimp! Food had an odd smell to it ordered a lot didn’t eat much.

I’ve gotten take-​out here many times and I’m always happy with it. I’ve never been disappointed with the preparation/​delivery times or the food

Probably the worst Chinese food I’ve had. It was good when the new managers took over but it’s gotten worse and worse. Wings are cut in half (guessing BC they have gotten complaints about undercooked wings), the other food is either overcooked, double cooked or leftovers (not even sure which one it is). Never going here again.

Had some of the best Wonton Soup here. Ordered from foodler and was very pleased. We ordered a pu pu plater and the portions were very generous. This is a small, takeout oriented place, there are maybe 3 tables for dining in.

I recently went there I ordered their gyoza shrimp omg it was gross they are not fresh and it tastes frozen I do not recommend it.

I found this place on Foodler, and we’ve ordered a few times since when we’re jonesin’ for chinese.
Prices are great– hubby and I stuffed ourselves yesterday for $ 23. My favorite thing about Xinglong is that they have vegetarian options for their normal dishes (Kung pao tofu, general tso’s «chicken»). Their steamed dishes are also good if you’re looking to cut the calories a bit.
I think this will be our go-​to chinenes place when we get that urge a few times a year.

I live about 30 minutes away and lets just say its worth the trip there. The food here is delicious I love how tender the chicken fingers are and the serving sizes are large. I would definitely recommend giving this Chinese restaurant a try. Great family business and great service!

If I could rate it 0 stars I would. Stay away from this place. The food, if you can call it that, is awful. I would not even feed it to a stray animal. The fried rice, was flavorless, and had a few chunks of green peppers, and carrots, with a few bean sprouts thrown in for good measure. The sweet & sour shrimp were literally soaked in grease! The soups that we ordered tasted like something that was mass produced, frozen, thawed, microwaved and served to the customers. When we went in to pickup our food, they had a couple of space heaters running, because they did not have heat to the restaurant. One of the teenage employees behind the counter was even eating a fried egg roll, as he was taking customer orders. I am never returning to this place.

We found this place through GrubHub, turned out it wasn’t far from us which was convenient.
I am usually weary of trying new Chinese food places unless I hear from someone that is it good or clean. There were a good amount of GrubHub reviews so we tried it.
We always order from here now when we want Chinese food. Delivery is always much sooner than expected or slated and the food is very good. Large fresh veggies and their fried rice is always tasty and not greasy which was a nice surprise.
First time I ordered the chicken chow mein and it was a bit soupy, that was sorta messy and not how I usually get it but it wasn’t bad. My husband always gets the Kung Pao Chicken which has lots of fresh cut veggies, still crunchy and good pieces of chicken. He also loves the shrimp fried rice. I’ve enjoyed their apps as well, not greasy and the low mein is also good. They have Thai food on the menu also but I did not really enjoy the pad thai, just not the right noodles.

Run of the mill Americanized Chinese food, but done well and priced right… Sometimes that’s just what you’re looking for though.

I have been going there for several years. Over the last few months there has been a decline in quality. This past week my family and i were running late and were tired. Let’s call Xing Long as we have many many time. This time out of the gate we ordered a couple of new items. Sesame Boneless Ribs «Absolutely Amazing» that was their description, if you call boneless ribs with a sprinkle of sesame seeds on top Amazing than I guess you wont find my next issue as Amazing. I had ordered Thai Chicken Rice — first time order here –it was a soggy sticky ball of brown rice with a sedge of lime. Absolutely terrible.
And to make matters any better, i live 5 minutes away we were told your order will be there is 20 – 30 minutes. Ended up being 1 hour and 20 minutes.

I was pleasantly surprised after eating take-​out from New XingLong. I notice a lot of poor early reviews, not sure if there was a management /​owner change but I loved the food I received, it was way better than what I was expecting. I would definitely order from here again. The steamed peking ravioli was my favorite item I ordered, but I also liked there pork fried rice, chicken and teriyaki. Priced right, and the menu is good with easy choices. Also, you can place your order online and it calculates the price for you as you add stuff, it’s very cool and advanced for such a small hole in the wall café, I was impressed.

Good chinese food! Alot of food for the money and they have always been great at «customizing» dishes for us with no problem! Freindly staff, FAST delivery!!!

During a recent trip to Boston, my boyfriend and I found this place on Urban Spoon and decided to try it out as it was close to our hotel. We ordered Singapore Noodles, Beef Lo Mein and 2 Egg Rolls. Everything was great! Not too greasy, a lot of flavor and priced right. We were satisfied with our meal and the staff was as friendly as could be. As we waited for our food we chatted with the manager, who was awesome. Very pleased, highly recommend.

I’m amazed of how good the food was. I’m not a fan of ordering Chinese takeout but this restaurant has changed my mind. A little bit pricey for the amount I received but the food was delicious. I like the option to order online because I’m horrible at pronouncing Chinese food. Will order again soon!

— Grub Hub Soda and Appetizers Special: Sprite, Scallion Pancake, and Shrimp Shumai (consider these 2 appetizers SMALL. Scallion pancake was great and shrimp shumai was yummy)
When I received my soda, I wanted to laugh so badly. I think they forgot to put soda CAN on the online menu.

I have ordered from here twice and both times I was more than satisfied. The last time I ordered from here I got a plate with chicken lo mein, chicken fingers, crab rangoon, and a veggie spring roll. Everything was great and I did not feel like a fat blob of goo like I do when I eat greasy Chinese food sometimes… lol. The delivery was pretty fast so that was a plus too.

I updated the business name, it’s now Xing Long at 467 Essex St.
I just ordered delivery, pu pu platter for 1 and a combo plate, crab rangoons, spring roll and chicken low mein. All for the price of about 22 and I had a 15% discount. I gave the driver $ 25.
This food, most of what I ordered, is pretty disgusting. The Pu Pu platter for one was $ 9.25 & they give one piece of each except 2 chicken fingers and 2 wings. The fried shrimp and chicken fingers were soggy/​oily and the chicken teriyaki so tough I couldn’t bite into it.
The combo meal came with chicken lo mein (edible), spring roll (not good) and crab rangoons which, if you’re a crab rangoon lover you know those overly yellow and sweet ones? Those are the kind they make here.
I wouldn’t recommend this place… better off at Out of Asia!
