We stopped here on our way to the beach on a whim. This place was clean and friendly. The food was good and fresh. I had the soup of the day which was tasty and the highlight of the meal. I found here to be kid friendly; the waitress brought out a couple full activity books and a big box of crayons for my children. The owner/manager came out or spoke with us a couple times just to check up on up and our meal, which was pleasant. The prices were a dollar or two higher than I expected which is the only thing that keeps this review at a 3⁄5 as opposed to 4⁄5.

This place was by far one of the worst experiences I have ever had. I am a pastry chef and work in a restaurant so I am usually very forgiving. My sister and I went here on a quiet morning and when we walked in we were the ONLY people there. We were hoping since it was labeled a bakery they would have some quick breakfast items to pick up since I had my 3 year old and 4 month old, well turns out they didn’t. But there was no one there and so we thought we would sit down and have a quick bite. We ordered and within 10 minutes my son, the 4 month old, started to fuss a little. So I picked him up and spent time trying to calm him. When he finally did calm I attempted to put him in his car seat. Well as any parent knows, he didn’t want to be put down, but our food was coming soon and I knew he was tired, so I tried to calm him in his car seat. So then the waitress, a woman I assuming has no children, comes to our table, GRABS my arm and says«Your going to have to take her outside, other people are trying to eat.» I was so taken back by her rude demeanor that I promptly took HIM outside, and left. My sister then talked to the woman who kept saying we couldn’t leave because the food was on the grill already. So we paid and left. I can’t believe how awful this place was. If you are someone who has children, was once a child or even has any respect for children DONOTGOHERE!

Among antiques and other«Blasts from the Past» we found excellent food. We had the homemade vegetable soup and egg salad sandwich, both of which were delicious. There were several tasty looking desserts in the adjoining bakery which we will sample on our next visit. The owner, Elizabeth, was a friendly hostess. Restroom was clean.
