if this restaurant was located anywhere else, it would be two stars. but for convenience and atmosphere as a pre-concert venue, it gets a bump. it’s not cheap, but again, it’s to be expected because of the location. it’s a fixed price menu and there were two options for a tasting. we opted for he $ 68 pp menu, to me it seemed like a better menu then the more expensive option. mixed drinks were reasonable, wine was pretty expensive. they should encourage people to drink more wine at a lower price. aged bordeaux this ain’t. but serviceable for starters we had the smoked duck and beet salad and bouillabaisse. +1 for the bouillabaisse, –1 for the duck salad. bouillabaisse had a couple of decent sized shrimp, some clams, a nice sauce and toasted french bread. for mains, we had the beef filet and sea base. +1 for the fish, –1 for the beef. the fish was the best thing we ate. for dessert, the chocolate cake was good, the berry tart… not so much. although I’ll certainly be back at Mountain Winery for a concert, the Château was a «try it once» experience. .

I will have to remember to bring a picnic next time. It is a great setting but«banquet-like» food.

The upscale dining choice for the venue. Exceptional service and the chef designed a wonderful menu this year. Large portions and wonderful flavors. Everyone we bring here is always impressed with the food and the view.

–dined for our 2’nd year anniversary together lastnight before the ziggy marley concert –we had reservations for the patio –our seats were ok, the guy next to us was loud, the tables and chairs could be a little bit more sophisticated than plastic garden crap –we were late and i was sweating it but they were chill –you could chose out of 4 – 5? items. 1 appetizer, 1 main meal and 1 dessert for…39.99! of course plus tax and gratuity –the food was actually really good. we enjoyed it. –crab cakes and shrimp yummmm –new york steak was tender but there was a big slab of fat(which others take delight to but not us) –i would have to –1 for the crème brûlée that tasted like somone tried to make flan for the first time –the chocolate cake was grubbin tho –the service was great =WORTHTHEEXPERIENCE
