Got some Spicy Drunken Noodles with Chicken to-go after calling in an order. Spicy Level 7 was super spicy, but not TOO spicy(keep in mind I’m Korean). The guy said it’d be ready in 15 minutes, but it was more like 25 minutes. Oh well. The inside was really dark although it was lunchtime… they used low lighting in there, which was kind of weird. Anyways, this rating is mainly for the food, which didn’t impress me compared to other Thai restaurants in the local area.

I’ve been coming here for years. It’s good for sure, but I do feel that the quality has decreased a bit over the last year. Barely any tofu in the pad Thai. Staff is friendly and polite but they need more help on busier nights to ensure customers are tended to in a timely and professional manner. We had reservations last night for 6:30, two of us. Took until about 6:50 to get a menu, apps came around 7:20, entrée finally around 7:50. Busy place, and I know staff is working hard but new guy needs some more training… :/Also, $ 5.50 for tea?! Yep, that’s dtown Saratoga!

Wonderful food here. Food is fresh and tasty. Seating is limited but the ambience is cozy and inviting. I wouldn’t think twice about driving 20 miles to eat at this place.

Love the food. Great location. Cute restaurant. However, the management needs to answer their phone. When you arrive, they ask if you made a reservation, and if it’s the evening they will give you a hard time if you didn’t make a reservation. But, how are customers supposed to make a reservation if the managers don’t answer their phone? Also, their web site is a blank white page. If you want a table, arrive when they first open for either lunch or dinner.

Really nice little small thai place with great food. The service was great and polite. The spicy veg fried rice was the best dish of the day and a must try one as well while the panang curry was close second.

Food is the best Thai food I have had since our trip to Thailand back in 2002. Flavors are delicious and they come with a good amount of heat. They ask you how hot you like it from 1 to 10 and based on other reviews we opted to ask for a 6 thinking we could always add more spice if needed which we did but honestly, a 6 is reasonably hot. I was sweating pretty profusely by the time we finished our meal. We started with Crispy shrimp egg roll appetizer which was delicious and creative. We then had a green curry that was very authentic in the flavors and a spicy crispy fish that was just plan delicious. Other than it is far from our house, we will be back. One piece of advice, we came without a reservation but were were early and they were able to seat us. The restaurant is very small and three quarter of the tables were reserved so I would advise making a reservation first.

Ever craving Thai food but don’t know where to go? Well then this is your spot! I always get the Pad Se Ew and must say it is the bomb. Something else to try: the Yellow Curry chicken; a classic. The atmosphere is also super nice; Very relaxed and feels cozy. If you’re ever in the area you better stop here for some delicious Thai food!

I had dinner for the first time here with 3 friends. We had tom kha kai, pra ram tofu, to share. And individual entrée: beef pad see ew, shrimp pad thai, crab fried rice and spicy fried rice. The soup, tom kha kai, just average. Nothing special about it. It could use more lemon grass and kafir lime leaves. The pra ram tofu was okay. The peanut sauce too runny, almost could not taste the peanut. The friends who got pad thai and crab fried rice liked their food. The friend who got spicy fried rice think she had better somewhere else. Now, my beef pad see ew, I do not like the soggy look on flat noodles nor the sweet taste that overpower the other spices. And the beef pad see ew I was served exactly that. Good service, tho. Polite yet friendly. Good atmosphere. 2 stars for the food. I will not coming back here.

The short: decent Thai place with great service After reading other Unilocal reviews(after my experience), I’m a little confused. 1 hour waits? Reservations? Jam-packed restaurant? What? I went on a Saturday afternoon after hiking at Castle Rock and I encountered nothing similar to the aforementioned scenarios. Bai Tong’s interior is very calming and I like the Thai décor There are about 6 tables that could fit up to 30 people. There were only 2 other parties when we arrived, and we were seated right away. I enjoyed the refreshing salad appetizer and its delicious secret sauce, but I didn’t think that my entrée was that great. The food was too chunky for my tastes and I’m picky about dry chicken… I don’t remember the name(check out the photo below). My friend ordered a seafood dish that was more appetizing. And when they say medium spicy, they mean it.(It’s a good spicy level!) At some places, this would be considered a «hot,» and I’m glad that the waiter warned us beforehand. The waiter was very attentive about filling our waters. Even at the end, I went to the bathroom and stood there for awhile… I decided to return to my seat to wait, and one of the waiters informed me that the bathroom was free. Thanks!

My girlfriend and I come here about twice a week and order five entrees each time we do(love the leftovers!). It’s the best Thai restaurant I’ve ever been to and the service is exceptional. Stand outs include the chicken Panang curry, beef Pad See Ew, chicken Pad Thai, garlic prawns, and beef Thai basil. The only thing you have to keep in mind is their seating is limited(and fills up fast since it’s so delicous). If you have dinner plans, call in and get a reservation!

Delicious and authentic Thai in Saratoga. We stopped here for a quick early bite before a Mountain Winery concert, since the restaurant is only 1.5 miles from the turnoff at Pierce Great fresh spring rolls w good Thai basil. Loved the larb chicken with healthy dose of the roasted rice powder. Not too spicy papaya salad and delicious Tom yum soup! Good tea selection too! ~$ 28 per person

Pretty rockin dishes! We got lucky this past Saturday, walked in and got a table for two. Literally ten minutes later they had to turn patrons away. You must make reservations. Waiter is fun and helped us make decisions on what to order, «how spicy, from 1−10»? I’m chicken shit so… mild please! My manfriend decided to try 5. That equals to 15 in America. He sweated throughout dinner. We ate the silver noodles, mussels in wine soup with ginger and green onion. Eggplants and green bean with brown rice. Super yum!

We ate here after hiking at Sanborn county park. Great place to go after you’ve worked up an appetite hiking up and down hills. We came at lunch and they have a lunch combination where you get an appetizer and a main dish for $ 12.50, my boyfriend got the silver noodles dish mixed with pork and prawns that was Excellent. I got the green curry with brown rice — mild– had just the right amount of spice and vegetables were Al dente.

I would have liked to eat here we showed up for a reservation and asking to sit outside as we noticed a table outside had paid their check. Well 20 mins later still waiting on that table and they went and asked if they wanted more water, and refilled their water glass. We decided to leave and go up the road and had a far better experience. Their was a couple that arrived after us. They sat inside… 15mins later they still didn’t even have water on their table. It’s poor management of turning over tables and timely service. Oh and wouldn’t you know after finishing dinner at another spot we past Bai Tong the same party was still sitting at that table outside.

This place has the best pad see ew with beef I’ve ever had, and I’d say one of the best thai places I’ve ever been to. And I live in LA now, where Thai food is king. Yeah, things are probably a little pricier here than other restaurants: 2 entrees, rice, and a thai iced tea came out to about $ 30. But I promise it’s worth it. Very friendly staff, great service. Just know they are closed on Mondays!

Love this place, its a mom and pop store and their tastes are very authentic. Usually Thai places are very creamy and sweet because of the coconut oil they use, but this place is very well balanced. CONS: The cost is a little higher than other Thai restaurants.

This is the first place I ever had Thai food and they set the bar so high they have ruined me for regular places. Very romantic location in quaint downtown Saratoga, outside tables available during the summer. Very high quality food and the staff is wonderful, what more could you want? Def a local favorite to have on your list. Feeling too lazy to get dressed? Call ahead your take out or have FLUC deliver. ** My fav is their Chicken Pad Thai, I’m a huge baby when it’s comes to spice so I get mild and the flavor is just exceptional. I’ve had other pad Thai(mild) and without the spice it was blah. They are serious about their spice, I get medium everywhere else and I can’t handle it here.

The best Thai food I’ve ever tried-and I’ve tried LOTS of Thai food. They are NOT playing around with their spice levels!!! Trust them when they tell you a 5 is extremely spicy(you can order up to a spice level of 10). We got the red curry, pad thai noodles, and tom yum soup. Everything was amazing. Fresh, flavorful, and the service was great, too. I’ll definitely be back.

My favorite Thai in Saratoga! The thai food is great here! Unbeknownst to me they were closed this last week for spring break when I was in the area so I didn’t get to have any this time, but the last few times I’ve been here, it’s been great. Employees are super friendly, I think they secretly laugh when I can’t handle the pad kee mao spicy. I get it around a 7 out of 10, and it BURNS, but it BURNSSOGOOD! The problem is I like the pad kee mao so much I never want to try anything else on the menu haha. I hear the curry here is pretty good though. I always love eating spicy thai whenever my sinuses act up: O

While there’s no question that Bai Tong has great Thai food, it was the service that left a lasting impression. I would even say that it comes close to the service I’ve experienced at high-end French restaurants. The staff(I think it’s a family operation) is incredibly attentive, courteous and friendly. We came for lunch and were hoping to indulge in Tom Yum Koong soup, but unfortunately it wasn’t on the lunch menu. We opted for the Green Papaya Salad and the Pad See Ew. We got level 3 spicy for both and it was perfect! I love spicy food but I probably couldn’t handle anything more than a 3. Bai Tong doesn’t mess around! Both dishes stroke the delicate balance of intricate flavors and textures known of good Thai food. I think Happy to say that I’ve found my go-to Thai.
