Had an appointment today 2 – 3. At 2:05 I get a message saying they had called and stopped by, and had no answer, so please call to reschedule. They had NOT called me, as I have proof on my phone records. And they did NOT come by. I called, and they said they would get to the dispatcher, and call me back at 3:30. Of course no one called me. I called again, and the nice young man said dispatch would call back, after he had spoken with leadership team. No one has called back. I pay them 275 month. I’ll be disconnecting Time Warner and going with another company

This is a review for the actual service center, NOT time warner cable in general. I had had a whole host of cable problems it’s not worth getting into, but after spending 6 hours over several days on the phone trying to get assistance for a very simple problem and then a bill for triple what the amount owed was, we decided we needed to try to talk to someone in person even though I didn’t think it would help and we went to the location. We spoke to an agent named Chris and I was left literally speachless. He looked up the account and I was prepared to go into the same diatribe I had 15 or so times on the phone but as soon as he looked it up he saw it, the triple bill, the incorrect service being installed and understood immediately and then get this… actually FIXED it. Not only fixed but also waived a couple of fees for all the trouble, we didn’t even ask him to. We were in and out in 10 minutes and everything was done, fixed, worked taken care of. After spending so long talking to so many people on the phone I couldn’t believe we just walked in there and someone almost waved a magic wand and took care of the whole thing, with the way it had been going up until that point I felt like I was stuck between trying to decide to pay this crazy bill or spend however many months getting shuffled around on the phone trying to fight it and have my credit screwed up. Chris was fantastic and you have to figure most people like us call first so when they come in they are agitated and not friendly and honestly I imagine that poor guy and everyone working there would see the most irate customers as they have already been pushed beyond the boiling point by twc’s phone ‘service’. But despite this Chris greeted us with a friendly smile and was so beyond helpful and knowledgeable. I warned him that if anything else happens I’m never calling again and just coming to see him. If I could rate my experience higher I would, my fiancé was also quite please as I was literally speachless for about 30 minutes afterwords which was a rare treat for him lol.

This review is specifically for the Time Warner Cable Customer Service office in Saratoga Springs, and not for Time Warner service in general. The office moved a while ago from their previous location on West Avenue. It’s certainly more convenient if you’re already downtown, but it’s near one of the busiest intersections in town, i.e., where Broadway, Ballston Avenue, and Circular St. meet. It was much easier to drive to their former office. The customer service reps there are quite good and knowledgeable. Unfortunately, only 2 of the 3 counters were staffed today, and there was a constant line. All the supplies they typically need to give out(e.g., cable boxes and modems) are arranged neatly behind the reps for easy access. For all the fancy cable gizmos and televisions advertising things all over, the customer service area is pretty dreary. The nicest area is a viewing area with a sofa placed in front of a large TV advertising all their services. The carpeting is run-down, the lighting is dim — generally people aren’t happy when they have to make a visit to their cable company. A dreary setting isn’t going to help. Maybe brighten it up and make it a couple of degrees warmer inside.
