This is what a B&B should be. Mariana was not only friendly and helpful, but gave us a plethora of useful info about Saratoga Springs. Our night would have been lackluster without it! Additionally, the breakfast was better than most bistros and cafés I am used to in San Francisco. Everything was delicious, organic, and grown local! As a veteran chef of 20 years, I may not have done better myself Do yourself a favor, stay here at least once in your life. Or better yet, don’t… It will just free up a room for me to revisit!

My boyfriend and I stayed here a couple of years ago on one of our first weekends away together and it was a perfect experience. The hospitality of the proprietor was impeccable. She arranged to have a bouquet of tulips waiting in the room upon our arrival as they are my favorite flower and she gave us a lot of space and privacy as we wanted mainly to be alone. The room was nicely appointed, very clean and neat and we stayed on the first floor which is one of the most private rooms as it’s completely seperated from the other rooms. At breakfast we dined at a small table set for two right in the kitchen which was cozy and warm. The proprietess was gracious and attentive without being too much in our way. We chatted a little bit while we enjoyed the delicious breakfast that was prepared. Greek yogurt parfaits and some kind of sweet item, homemade but forgive me for forgetting exactly what it was as it was two years ago! I do remember that the coffee was delicious and we were told it was a secret blend that they use. They also do cooking lessons which is what my boyfriend got me a few months later for my birthday. It was a lot of fun we prepared the food together and then he and I explored the grounds while the food cooked and later we enjoyed an intimate meal together in the farmhouse kitchen. It’s a little off the beaten path, it’s a 15 minute drive from downtown Saratoga but I highly recommend it if you are looking for warm hospitality, excellent food and comfortable lodgings. Side note– the women who own this place are really, really good cooks. The night we stayed we went out to dinner and as we were leaving, we could smell their food cooking. It smelled incredible!
