Saratoga Botanicals Organic Store and Spa

This was my first visit and I know I’ll be back. The spa is tastefully decorated with natural and distressed wood décor. The staff is friendly and welcoming. I had the Head to Toe Body Glow treatment and it was divine! They include a body brush and body bar soap to take home with you as a bonus which is great! Lucia was my technician and she was EXCELLENT making me feel very comfortable and at ease. Great experience.

great selection of organic lotions, oils, soaps, and body products. the day that i came in they were having a 40% sale so i stocked up on massage oil and lotion. scents are pleasing yet very subtle which is a definite positive attribute for me. the adirondack lotion is really nice.

Before I get into why I only gave this spa two stars, I have to start off by saying that everyone at Saratoga Botanicals were extremely pleasant and helpful. Vanessa (the owner) was very kind.
I had found a groupon for what is called detox massage with a facial at a reasonable price. However, we did not know what a detox massage was and the website did not explain what a detox massage was, as well. I had called the spa and spoke with Vanessa, to get the details of what exactly I would be getting. It was explained to me that a detox massage uses Swedish massage techniques while cleansing the body (in that it is similar to a Swedish massage). This sounded phenomenal. I booked it.
The facial was incredible and I really enjoyed the chocolate covered mask. However, when it came to the «massage» I was highly disappointed. because it was explained that it was similar to Swedish massage, one would expect to receive some type of pressure while being worked on, front and back. It wasn’t a massage, it wasn’t close to using a Swedish techniques. The detox massage consisted of touch with no pressure, and would only work on the front (not the back). It can be compared to petting an animal, very light movements. I wouldn’t even classify it as a massage.
We were disappointed because we went in with high expectations and came out feeling like I had been doped. I would had been okay, had not ask what a detox massage was and booked it anyhow. But I had specifically called to understand the details, and what was described to me over the phone by the owner, was not what I received in the room with the masseur. My friend and I left the spa extremely disappointed.

While I can’t rate their services based on my own personal experience, I can say both my mom and mother in law were completely thrilled with the massages they had Mothers Day weekend. They can’t stop talking about when are we making their next appointment! We’ll definitely be back soon… and this time I’m going to have to get myself one!

My boyfriend and I went up for a long weekend and stayed at a local hotel and found this little gem! What a lovely place to come and relax. Anna and Julie did awesome an awesome massage on us. The owner was very pleasant and was very welcoming. She also introduced me to her product line that she makes herself, and so far so good! If I am ever in the area again I will Definetly stop in again!

Have been there twice so far and I’m hooked! Knowledgeable staff, calming and comfortable atmosphere, and so relaxing. Products are also great!

My boyfriend and I traveled from NYC over New Year’s and treated ourselves to massages. The shop was beautifully designed and decorated; the staff is down to earth and the massages were… amazing. I wish I could go every weekend! Ashley has strong but gentle hands and a wonderful spirit. Francesa, the owner is knowledgeable about herbs and gave my partner recommendations for his ailment. She even suggested a great place for us to eat. Thank you for the great experience.

I had the best massage of my life today!!! Julia was completely in tune with what I needed, just the right pressure and the relaxation jut washed right over me… Already booked next appointment. Would caution people about the parking situation… arrive early as you might have to make you way around the block several times

My deep tissue massage was just what I needed! Ana was great. It’s a new shop so things are still being worked out, the new manager was very helpful. I can’t wait to see what they do in the next year or so because it can only get better.
I booked myself for a shiatsu massage, I explained to Ana that I was training for a marathon and she said I would be much happier with the deep tissue, I am so glad I listened to her!
They also have a great selection of oils for cheap! I was paying $ 40 at young living and I got a few for only 5.99 there, and they work perfectly!

What a nice addition to Henry Street, beautiful and relaxing space. Had an awesome massage from Becky, would highly recommend her. I’m definitely planning to be a regular.
