The previous review is spot on. She hits the nail on the head calling this office a baby factory! Every appointment my wife has had has been cancelled or we have gotten there and told there was an issue. This office is extremely poorly managed. Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere!

I moved to the Saratoga area after living in Virginia for 5 years. While in Virginia, I had two children by two different OB/GYNs(because the first one moved out of state). I had decided that Saratoga Hospital was the place where I wanted to deliver so chose the OB based on that. There are very, very few options if you want to deliver at Saratoga. Initially, Myrtle Street OB was very nice. They are pleasant on the phone, sent me the paperwork quickly and I had no problem getting an appointment. After that, it all went down hill. Here are the things that I do not like about the office: 1) The waiting room is always packed. I mean… as in you can’t always get a seat. It is much too small for their patient load. 2) They have you pee in a bathroom and then walk down the hall carrying your pee! I never heard of such a thing. Typically, you go and either leave it in the bathroom or you bring it to the lab which is located right outside the bathroom. It’s gross… and a pain if you happen to have a small child with you. 3) I met 6 of the doctors. Only 2 actually introduced themselves to me. 4) I have waited over 30 minutes past my appointment time without anyone ever letting me know that they were running behind.(in the packed waiting room… standing) 5) Once I had to have appointments every two weeks, it was extremely tough to see a doctor you wanted. The people who make their appointments 4 weeks prior take all the time slots and you are left being squeezed in on Friday at 3:45pm. But what made me switch offices when I was 36 weeks pregnant was the following… They canceled my 36 weeks appointment 30 minutes prior to my appointment. They told me that the doctor was called into an emergency. Now… that is totally acceptable and understandable. What isn’t is being given the option to see someone else. Isn’t that the point of going to an office with EIGHT doctors? I was told that I could just reschedule for the following week. In other words — SKIP my 36 week appointment. Now…when you get pregnant, you go every 4 weeks until you’re 30 weeks. Then, you go every 2 weeks. At 36 weeks, every week. There is a reason for this… yet the office wanted me to skip my 36 week appointment(and strep test) because they were overbooked. This is NOT the prenatal care that anyone should expect or settle for. You and your baby deserve much, much better. Side note: I did ask a L&D nurse and a postpartum nurse in the area what they thought of my appointment being canceled and they were stunned. They couldn’t believe that happened. It made me feel better and gave me the confidence that I am better starting over with a new doctor at 36 weeks then staying with an office who puts my care second. Updated 4−1−12 I switched to a wonderful OB in Clifton Park. Of course they asked for my records. Once received, there was no pap test sent over. Myrtle Street said they did not have a record of me having one. I told my new OB that I had one in August — at an office just prior to the pregnancy and going to Myrtle Street. Myrtle Street knew this from the forms I filled out when I came to them but they never bothered to get(or verify) that I actually had one. Here’s the thing — NY State law states that all pregnant women HAVE to have a pap on file. In the 36 weeks I was at Myrtle Street they never had one!!! Myrtle Street is so busy acting like a baby factory that they didn’t even follow state law! Shame on them.
