I have been in to the Sarasota, Bee Ridge Road location twice for repairs. The first time was last year for a repair to my sewing machine. They sold me a new machine. OK mine was old. The new machine did not fit my sewing cabinet, so I returned it and asked for my old one back. Once I received my old one back, every time I used it the thread would jam. I took my repaired machine back to have the problem corrected. I was told I did not know how to thread it properly. I have only been threading this particular machine for 19 years. I was treated very poorly. Should have learned my lesson. I gave them the benefit of the doubt and took my vacuum there in September. It was not sucking up the dirt. I had not had it serviced since the Orek store shut down. So I asked if they could fix it. They tried to sell me a new vacuum. I just wanted mine repaired. They continued to tell me how bad Orek vacuums are. I picked up my vacuum 2 weeks later. Cost of $ 50, not complaining about the price. They again tried to sell me a new vacuum. When I returned home to vacuum the brush turns(did that before the repair), still does not suck up the dirt. I did not go back or plan to because I believe they will tell me that I do not know how to push the vacuum back and forth properly. And try to sell me a new vacuum. If you want to buy a vacuum Tops Vacuum may be the place to go, but don’t go there for any type of repairs. They do not know how to repair vacuums or sewing machines.

If I could give this place negative stars I would. We purchased an embroidery machine from the Clearwater location. The owner said that he’d throw in the gold standard warranty. Upon taking it in for service we found out that he didn’t give us the gold standard warranty from the manufacturer but said not to worry Tops will service the machine themselves. A week later we went back to pick the machine up. They had lost the cord and the machine wasn’t serviced correctly which basically means it wasn’t serviced at all. We contacted the manufacturer to report them and eventually got him to give us what we had been originally promised but not before being banned from his store in a series of laughable text messages from the owner. Dude did you honestly think I’d be coming back in to purchase anything else from you at this point?
