I have been here 3 times for breakfast or lunch because it is close to where I am staying and a local spot. I think the food and the service have been consistently good. It can get very busy on the weekends, but the servers are very nice and attentive. I have liked everything I have ordered here. The bagels are especially good. They always have 3 – 4 specials on the chalkboard as well as their standard breakfast/lunch menu. This is also a bakery. If you are in the area, give them a try.

Hard to give thus place even 1 star. Came in at latter time for lunch, yet more than enough time before posted closing. A few people still eating yet one of the help was already cleaning the floor. Not very comfortable to have that going on while eating. Our waiter, who seemed somewhat perturbed that we were there, let us know immediately what we couldn’t have because they were close to closing. I had a tuna sandwich and my guy ordered strawberry blintzes. They both came post haste. My sandwich drenched in mayo came accompanied with a small bag of commercial potato chips. The blintzes had a few strawberries strewn on top and had obviously been straight out of the freezer. The lemonade I ordered tasted more like sugar water than lemonade. And to add insult to injury, the prices were comparatively steep. We ate as quickly as possible and were out of there, never to return again.

One of the best kept secrets for home cooked breakfast and fresh baked breads. With an extremely loyal following, it’s hard to imagine that this place is not packed to the gills every day. The food is tasty, fresh and wholesome The service is great and the place is very clean. A family run business I might add Highly recommend

I came here in search of good bagels in Sarasota. I specifically like New York style bagels and this place is not it. I was recommended this place by Brandon Bagels, apparently they sold them their recipe. These bagels are absolutely no comparison to Brandon. The diner is nice and the staff was super friendly. But This place is not a place for only bagels but rather full service breakfast.

Pretty disappointed with this place. It is down the street from one of my offices so decided tongive it a try. The inside is nice and very small diner like. I have been to some great deli’s sowas hoping for a nice large sandwich. Nope. I ordered a sandwich with chips as a side. Keep in mind this was 9 dollars. Literally looked like they put 2 pieces of corned beef on it. Bread was hard. I would normally expect some homemade chips to come with a sandwich or a selection of descent bagged chips. Again nope. Got a small bag of regular lays chips. Looked over the menu and noticed they serve a hebrew national hotdog for 5 bucks. I can go to the store and get an 8 pack for that. Will bot be back.

Bagels are delicious and made fresh daily. You can get breakfast for under $ 10. Nothing fancy but those bagels are good. Ask for extra toasted to get the crispy flavors. Coffee is nothing to discuss. Interior is outdated and lacks a welcoming feel for takeouts. No spot to order or wait. Seems like regulars come in for breakfast and an older female keeps the chatting going with the regulars.

Look, you find a hair in your food once and that can ruin a place for you. Not that I ever thought this was a world class breakfast, but a diner type spot, a greasy spoon if you will, has its place in the world. The time I pulled a hair from between my teeth after an omelette from what I’d assume was liquid eggs, was traumatizing. To this day the long, black hair sliding past my lips makes me gag thinking about it. I’m sorry, but hair nets are a must.

Great place for breakfast. Service is slow… you’ll live. Amazing omlettes. Super thin, folded almost like a crêpe. I’ve tried every breakfast place in Sarasota and continue to com back here. It’s just better.

First off do not visit this facility for the coffee coffee was terrible it actually tasted as if they ran it through twice to conserve or reuse the coffee grounds. Overall the food was quite pleasant I enjoyed the chicken fajita omelette and my husband really liked the Reuben sandwich. This place has a family owned mom and pop shop feel and the eating dining area is basically an open room but quite coz. y

We tried the Sunrise café again recently and it’s now one of my favorite breakfast places on Hilton Head Island. Delicious food and amazing service — I highly recommend it! Tip — lines can get long in the morning for breakfast so come early or be prepared to wait.

This place isn’t bad, there are just much better options out there. My wife ordered an 8 dollar omelette and it looked like it was made with less than two eggs. Most of the breakfast items don’t come with sides so this place is just kinda expensive for a mediocre dining experience. It’s only a marginal step up from a Denny’s. After ordering over thirty five dollars worth of food for my wife and two little kids, we left still hungry.

It is easy to drive right by The Sunrise Café, it’s a pretty nondescript place, but don’t do it. The breakfast here is one of my favorite places in town. I almost always order the Southern Sampler, also know as the«heart attack». Two eggs, sausage, home fries and sausage gravy over biscuits. It doesn’t get better than that. Homemade biscuits, bagels, and sweet rolls, what’s not to love. Highly recommended.

Amazingly expensive for what you get. Good food and friendly service. I just find the value lacking.

Breakfast House is great but expensive, Yoder’s, quite good and moderately priced– great value, and this morning I discovered Sunrise Café for breakfast. Put it on your list. It wasn’t crowded like Yoder’s, at least this morning, and many excellent breakfasts are offered for under $ 7. Four of us ate there. All breakfasts were beautifully presented and very tasty and hot. I had the Forever Green, eggs with feta, spinach, and mushrooms with hash-browns or fruit and choice of bread, English muffin or even a bagel and cream-cheese(very unusual for a restaurant to offer this without additional charge). Another patron had the eggs Benedict, which I tasted and will order another time. Our waiter was most pleasant and got it all right even splitting the bill. The setting is in rather a drab strip shopping mall but the inside is quite pleasant and very clean and homey. Homemade bread is available to purchase.

We went on a very busy day and the service was a bit slow. But its a beautiful local spot with great indoor and outdoor sitting, and good food. Perfect for your Mimosa Sunday Brunch.

Nice place for breakfast/lunch — lots of specials for breakfast, so check out the blackboard at the door. Waitstaff is very friendly. Only confusing thing was that all of the bakery cases were completely empty — is this place going out of business? Hope not.
