Great takeout. The pizza is very good and there are some good special ones. Better to takeout than eat in. Our kids love it here.

Two slices of delicious pizza and a drink for six bucks, can’t beat it for a hot, fast lunch! Great quality ingredients and a perfect neighborhood spot. The best pizza in town by a long shot.

My fiancé and I recently visited her parents in Venice, and this was one of the places that I wanted to eat at while on vacation. After a visit to Siesta Key beach, the four of us stopped here for dinner. The servers were nice enough, but everyone in our party was a little confused about the ordering and seating process. Apparently it is a «self-service» style dine-in restaurant, which would have been perfectly fine if that was explained more clearly up front. For example, I ordered some waters, and they never came. It wasn’t until I noticed a large glass jug full of water for self dispensing that we got our waters. This could have been explained when I ordered waters? They have seating inside, and outside, which is nice, and the overall theme is a quaint little pizza place that shows its apparent roots from New Jersey. Onto the food! We had two greek salads, a pepperoni pizza, and a bada bing pizza. The salads were huge, really fresh, and came with 1 garlic knot per salad(2 knots would have been nice given size of salad, and the inexpensive nature of dough). Both of the pizzas were really good New York style pizzas. They were just the right thickness, the dough was the right taste and consistency. Also, there was just the right amount of sauce for a new york style pizza, not to much, not to little, and it was in the right proportion with the dough and the cheese. My fiances parents were so impressed they said they found there new favorite neighborhood pizza joint. We also tried 2 of the cannoli, which came with a strawberry dipping sauce, and were absolutely amazing! All in all I would give it 4.5 stars out of 5, and would definitely recommend giving it a try if you are in the area.

The BEST pizza in the area. Thin crust with delicious sauce and cheese. Many varieties to choose from. Lunch deal can’t be beat…2 slices and a drink for $ 6. And this includes specialty pizzas too. My favorites so far are plain and sausage. Can’t wait to try them all.

Update: After a few times going here I can confidently say that my first time must’ve been a bad day. I go here to get pizza by the slice and the taste is great, it’s fast, always a great selection of toppings. Might be a little on the pricey side, $ 3.25 for one slice, but they also have specials to combat that.

This place is all hype. I paid $ 30 for one half and half pizza. Neither half was very good. Terrible location. Everything is dirty. The staff is not friendly. I tipped $ 4 and asked for cheese and peppers, but got home and had only been given cheese. I threw away 5 slices of the one pizza I got(I ate 3). The pizza itself is slightly below average.

Items Selected: Half Dozen Garlic Knots with Marinara Red Sauce and Sausage Slice Sinatra Slice with Tomatoes and Basil Sicilian Slice Cannoli with Strawberry Purée Always intrigued by the idea of «best local pizza,» a dish offered from coast-to-coast and at the smallest cities in between, Solorzano Bros. appeared to be the most commonly cited place for a good slice in the city of Sarasota, the small operation’s Webber Street location visited just past 4:30 on Tuesday for some pre-dinner bites. No doubt a mom n’pop operation, the far corner of a rundown shopping plaza featuring the restaurant’s name and a sign suggestin«Eat Real Pizza,» the #eatrealpizza hashtag also used in reference to Solorzano Bros. social media feed, entry to the shop brings diners face-to-face with several slices and a full overhead menu, the smiling staff likely putting together take-out orders with shirts bearing the slogan«Legalize Magarita,» bumper stickers reading the same given out for free. Not wanting to invest in a whole pie, and thankfully finding out that fresh slices were due«in about 10 minutes» the decision was made to wait while munching on golden Garlic Knots served six-for-five-dollars, not quite enough sauce provided for dipping though the light acidity and restrained sweetness were good enough to justify purchasing more for just fifty cents. Moving next to two fresh New York slices, plus a pillowy Sicilian whose texture was unfortunately compromised by reheating as edges were rendered a bit dry, the first thing to note about Solorzano’s crust is that the light char imparted by the oven does a marvelous job of expanding small air-pockets to impart maximum chew beneath the crunchy exterior, the toppings of a good quality as sausage features a bold spice profile while rounds of tomato are thin enough to dry slightly without losing flavor beneath fresh-cut basil leaves. Well priced for the quality offered, the dining area sizable yet homey with signs and photos all around, music predictably moved to Old Blue Eyes just moments before dessert was presented, the subcaptions of Sportscenter showing Stephan Curry accept the League’s MVP award as teeth shattered the shell of a fresh-filled Cannoli filled with housemade Strawberry purée.

Solorzano Bros pizza is solid NY style pie — crispy crust, light fluffy doughy center, good toppings. I ate every bite. Only complaint was crust was a little too cooked(burnt) and pepperoni quality could have been better, little too greasy. Salad was good. Can get slices here, too, which was nice. Place had an intimate NY/New Jersey feel. B+

Everything about this place looks like it would be really good New York pizza but it just wasn’t. Sicilian slice tasted like something you would get from Pizza Hut or pappa johns. Pepperoni slice was practically tasteless, the bread was so hard and the crust was burnt to a crisp. I’m a New Yorker who knows pizza and this just doesn’t do it for me. I’m disappointed for sure.

Last night we experienced one of the worst pizzas we have ever had. Our family frequents Solorzanos weekly. We have done so for years. . Recently pizzas from Solarzanos have varied widely in quality from week to week. Often the pizza is awesome, the best anywhere. Other times it borders on inedible. Mostly it’s the degree of doneness or the quality of the crust. A week ago we had a perfect one, this week the pizza was burned on the underside, although the ingredients were not all that hot. Other times, the crust is soggy and under done, with thick ends. So — bear this in mind when ordering a pizza from Solarzanos. It may be a great one this time, but next time, probably not. Guys, please fix this problem! Update: Last two visits, pizza has been excellent. They must have been going through a tough time with help. Give it a shot and see what you think!

This place has the best pie in Bradenton and SRQ as far as I am concerned. The crust is paper thin and has a good crunch on it, while the toppings and sauce are sliced and seasoned to perfection. I can’t say enough good about it. Stop in and give this joint a try! The lunch special is excellent, 2 slices and a drink for $ 5. You can’t beat it.

Great solid pizza. Crust is not doughy or overcooked. Toppings are fresh and amount given is generous. Sauce is good. Pizza is definitely more focused on toppings and crust, so if you’re the type that likes more sauce, you may not like it as much. However I’d still recommend you try it nonetheless. We had a white pizza the first time and were so happy with it that we ordered a red pizza a couple days later! I personally thought the white was a little better. $ 18 for a large is a couple dollars too much but we’re in Sarasota after all haha. The cannolis were okay. I’ve definitely had better but they’re not bad. The restaurant itself is in a strip mall and has a separate room of seating to the right, once you walk in. It feels very locally owned which is nice.

The pizza was decent, depending on how you like. The crust is really crispy, my husband liked it but I didn’t. But that is not why I gave it a low rating. The service was poor. We waited 30+ minutes for our pizza. Which would have been fine, but we weren’t told about the wait until after we paid. There is no fountain drinks or ice. I did get a can coke, which was as cold as if it had been in my lunch box all day. The water was room tempature. When we finally did get our food, we didn’t get plates. When we asked the lady for plates, with discontent she went over to the bar area and grabbed plates that was sitting next to the dirty dishes bin. If you like crispy pizza and you plan on taking it home this is probably a good place for you. If you are looking to eat at the restaurant go somewhere else.

Unilocalers led us astray. In short if you need nourishment, Solarzanos provides. Pros: pleasant staff, order was cooked as requested, and plenty of meat toppings on pizza. Cons: almost no sauce and was an additional $ 1 so that the pizza was pizza instead of bread with meat and cheese, beer that wasn’t cold, and to seal the deal, paper plates. Paper plates are for mall pizza joints. Among Unilocalers this is a popular place; it did nothing for us.

Making pizza is an art form and these guys are Picasso and Rembrandt! Two brothers who know what real pizza is. Being from NY I know what good pizza is and this is definitely the best south of Jersey! Crust is perfectly crispy with just the right amount of chew. The sauce is made fresh from scratch. The toppings are premium quality. They say it’s hard to find good pizza in Florida. That’s because these guys only have 3 locations! Franchise!

Stopped in today after heading to Sarasota for business. Decided to try this place out. For me, I would say its just ok. The pizza was pretty good. I had the pepperoni and salad combo. Serving size is definitely good for the 7 bucks you pay. Basically you order at the counter, pick your slice from the window in front of you. Almost like Subway. Then they reheat your slice in the oven. Not really my thing but ok. Salad was pretty good but its a salad. Garlic knot also comes with the combo. That was ok. The restaurant itself is a typical pizza joint. Nothing to really look at. Service seemed fine. The guy behind the counter brought everything out quickly. One mistake, they forgot the tomatos on my coworkers salad. I dont mind though because they put his on my plate giving me double. Ill take it. Overall hust average for me.

So… rarely have I had the opportunity to rate a pizza joint 5 stars… found this 1 on Unilocal with no help from locals… they have a 10% coupon when you check in on Unilocal.they honored it with no hassle(many p laces give you a hard time about Unilocal coupons but not here… pie was ready in 15 minutes as stated on the phone. I travel the country for wprk and I always try one of the local pizza joints. I rank this place in the top 5 of pizzas that I have eaten. quality is superb and perfect thickness and crispness. Pick up a slice and it is faintly limp which is perfect. Ingredients are local and fresh and nothing frozen here. If your in the area this is a must try pie
