After a nationwide search for sandals for Petunia because of her oversized paws we finally, with the help of friends, found a local shoemaker who said he was willing to meet Petunia and size her up for her much needed sandals — First efforts were very trying for Petunia having her feet touched. Doo, the owner of SMILESHOEREPAIR in Sarasota, patiently waited to earn her trust — He slowly knelt on the floor and slid the cardboard under her foot to get a measured drawing — We are so grateful to have sandals that will work for her — Doo, smiled and said, «Pray for me.» — We pray and trust for her sandals to be just right.

Lucky to get one star. Completely unfriendly, no interest in helping, quoted a ridiculous price to repair the soles on a pair of old but well loved sandals. Go elsewhere!

A friend of mine dropped my shoes off to this place. I had a pair of heels that needed to be repaired. I received a call from a lady with a heavy accent who informed me that my shoes would be ready the following Thursday. I asked her what payment methods did they accept and she saidand she responded debit, credit, and cash. I said ok and that I would be picking my shoes up after Thursday. I called the business today and they stated that they would be closing today at 2pm. I stated it is 115pm and that I was on my way. I used GPS which took me to a different shopping plaza at 155pm. I called the shop at 145 to let them know I was still coming and that my arrival time would be 159p according to GPS. The man who answered ststed he would wait for me. I drove further down the street and found it without GPS. I walked in ready to swipe my card. He stated they didnt accept cash. I told him the lady who called stated that you guys did. Luckily Publix is next door so I went and got cash back there. The guy huffed and puffed appearing upset. I told him I was given incorrect information. I returned with $ 25 cash. I looked at my shoes and stated that they could have removed the whitr substance off which wasnt there before. I told him that giving out the correct information would have saved us both some time. He became upset and started yelling and grabbed my shoe bag, pointing at the clock saying he waited 15 minutes. I told him the lady gave me incorrect information. He yelled he was standing right there and denied I was telling the truth. I grabbed my bag and put my money on the counter. He yelled«LISTEN» really loud and unprofessionally. I proceeded to grab my bag from him which I did. He then grabbed my bottled water which was on the counter and cocked it back as if he was going to hit me with it. I firmly told him I would call the cops if he hit me with the water. I grabbed a pair of shoes off the counter and told him to give me my water. He put my water down and then grabbed my bag again which I turned away and dropped the shoes I picked up off the counter. He followed me out of the store yelling speaking in his native tongue. I walked out and I will never return or recommend them to anyone!
