S’macks Burgers & Shakes

Not bad for a simple burger joint. It’s very limited in healthy choices, and I’ve definitely had better. I might be back because the kids meals aren’t bad.

Very good burgers. Came with my family, and every meal was outstanding as far as burgers go, from the veggie burgers to the bison burgers. Two thumbs up.

We have been going there a lot over the last couple of years. In the beginning everything was great, but our last 3 – 4 times it seems that the burgers have gone downhill. They used to be really good not pre-​made hamburger patties. These last few time they seem like they are pre-​made patties and they have been overdone, dry hockey pucks. I don’t know if they have changed the way they make them or are buying pre-​made patties now. We still love their shakes and cheese fries though.

Great spot for a good burger and fries. Good custard too. Owner was nice and good service from the staff.

Just came off the Beach looking for a good Burger joint that was reasonable prices. S’macks Burger was found. It’s a walk in place, you go up to the counter either Single paddy or double, choice of Potato bun, Texas Toast, wrap no bun. Everything is Toppings are Ala cart. fries are .99 and the best onion rings $ 2.24 along with 2 Fountain drinks $ 18.61 not sure exactly how they came up with that number exactly, the check did not have itemized figures until I asked for one. We were planning on frozen custard but we were stuffed. Outside has casual outdoor furniture inside booths tables
The place had lots of young families very casual We will stop back for their home made custard on our next trip

A good convenient spot
I stopped in today for lunch. Not really taking the time to figure out what to order, I selected The Original, a cheeseburger with lettuce, tomato, and a special sauce. Painted on a window as I walked in was a note saying they had the best fries in Sarasota, so I made mine a combo to try their fries.
The burger was very good, but small. It was tasty on a really nice soft bun. Likely there were other ways I could have gone for a heartier appetite. Conversely, they were very generous with their fries. Crinkle cut is not my preferred type but the fries were also very good. I didn’t get too focused on if they were crispy enough on the outside and soft on the inside, I simply ate them all.
Looking at their menu after the fact, I discovered they have different types of burger patties including bison and veggie, and also offer chicken. You can definitely have it your way by picking the bun, burger, cheese, and a large variety of topping. They also have a curbside service where you can call ahead and drive up to a certain spot and they will bring your food out. I found my order taker to be upbeat and very willing to help me decide what to order. Once you order you get a number to put on your table and they will bring you your food. For me, by the time I sat down after getting my drink, it only took about 5 minutes.

Not too bad of a place to swing by for a burger and some fries. Five guys is superior, but if you are around here then stop in and have a decent meal.
I had a double cheeseburger and garlic parm fries. The burger was a bit overcooked, but still edible. The fries were drenched in butter so it was a little turn-​off, but they were still pretty good.
My order took quite a while to arrive as the person at the counter kept making a mistake on it. I ended up getting overcharged for 2 orders of fries. I wanted one.
Bottom line: If you are in the area, stop and have a decent burger. If you are looking for the next-​level burger experience, keep driving.

We ordered a variety of items from the menu and were satisfied with the quality of food for the money. Two of us ordered chicken burgers and each had different taste dependent on the variety of toppings. The bison and hamburger were also cooked well and were very tasty. Wouldn’t rate the fries as the «best in Sarasota» as they were nothing to write home about. The staff were friendly and helpful. We would eat there again.

Quick good burgers for a decent price. Cashiers are always nice and get the order correct. And when something is wrong, it’s fixed quickly. Great place for lunch if you’re pressed for time. Friendly and clean for kids.

Smacks is great. Very solid choice whenever I have the burger craving. My five year old is also a huge fan. They also source there buffalo meat locally which I really like. I wish they would continue this trend and source everything locally! Definitely recommended!

Excellent healthier options for burger cravings! Fries were subpar, sweet potato fries ok but they put cinnamon and sugar on them and «rings of fire» were fun Teenage son and friends love this place and we are ok when they want to go. My daughter loved her vanilla shake and she is a vanilla connoisseur! Fun place. Excellent, polite service.

I like S’macks, it’s a bare-​bones restaurant that serves delicious burgers. My favorite is the bison with the lettuce wrap and their sweet potato fries, the S’mack sauce is yummy. You can add your own toppings and choose your favorite bread. Staff is very helpful and the service is prompt. You can’t leave without having one of their custards, they are amazing, rich, decadent and worth all of the calories.

The burgers and fries at S’macks are amazing. I went there with my son and we loved it. Staff was friendly and attentive. Clean. It was our second visit so it was nice to see the menu had expanded, and weekly schedule of custards was also available.
Definitely a place if you are visiting from out of town to check out, and if you live here, then make this a regular stop!!!

The cheese fries were great like really really good; the shake was good, but it had something floating around in there… Wasnt a bug but it wasnt a cherry either and needed to be remade, and the chicken burger was solid… Well the second one was. The first one came out pink in the middle and i do not want myself any salmonella.
I will say though the staff was very understanding of my dislike of pink chicken and things floating around in a shake that shouldnt be there and were super apologetic.
I would have rated them higher, but pink chicken.

Like the versatility and healthy options. Yummy pebble ice, watermelon juice, and both meat and veggie options. Perhaps a salad on the menu might be warranted and expected?
Walking out, one of the owners (I guess?) blessed me with a pint of Chocolate Raspberry Custard for leaving a review! Wow, what a great way to recognize and show value to your customers. That’s how an up and coming business thrives… Attention to even the smallest of details.

My husband and I are recent transplants to Sarasota and love good burgers. LIke, a little too much! Thus we were super excited to see S’macks especially how close it is to our new house. I dreamed of yummy burgers, both eat in and take away! However, my hopes and dreams were dashed in one experience.
I admit, this is a somewhat delayed review so I can’t tell you exactly what we ordered. But I can tell you that our negative experience is so ingrained within us that every time we drive by we shake our heads sadly at the poor fools spending their dollars supporting mediocre food.
Honestly, everything tasted like it was frozen. No seasoning on the meat. Blah all around. I’d take McDonalds, Burger King, anything over S’macks. And we paid a premium for the «quality» ingredients. It’s honestly insulting that I could pay significantly less at Five Guys and get a much better product.
Obviously, we’re not fans and we’re still on the lookout for a good Sarasota burger that’s not from a chain.

Great menu options and prices. Build your burgers how you want ‘em! Excellent choice of fresh ingredients and sauces. (Love the chipotle mayo!)
Fresh fries and beer-​battered onion rings are fantastic, but eat ‘em while they’re hot!
Over all a great spot for those craving a great burger!

After a long day at the beach we decided to Unilocal burger places in town. Shore diner was our first choice, however, since all of were starving, there was no way we will drive to St. Armand’s circle, fight to find a parking spilt then most likely wait for 30 minutes to get a table.
Back to S’macks burger, very clean place, super friendly staff, self explanatory menu. Meat wise, they offer all naturals hormone free beef patties, can’t wrong with that, then you can pick your bun, your cheese, a wide selection of free toppings and finally your fries and drinks.
Burgers were awesome, fries were good but have had better. Only negative thing about this trip is the side of guacamole, it was a very tiny cup, one you would put your ketchup in, not fresh at all as shown in a picture posted and it cost $ 1.99, for that much money, we expected at least a chipotle size portion.
