Rosemary Birthing Home

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Rosemary and the amazing women who cared for us there! My prenatal visits felt like catching up with friends and my birth was the best birthing experience I could have ever hoped for! I always felt I was getting the best care possible on a medical and emotional level. I will always recommend the mamas I know to seek care at Rosemary and for my friends out of the area to seek out a midwife. These women helped change the way I view birth, they were supportive, empowering, and knowledgable at every turn!

From the moment I walked into Rosemary Birthing Home for my first tour, I felt enveloped in the strength and love of a million-​woman hug. When Carmela said something on that tour about how women are goddesses and should be treated as such throughout pregnancy, birth and beyond, I was moved to tears and knew that it was the right choice for me. The care I received during my pregnancy was outstanding. Lara and Heidi in the front office were always professional and warm and a comfort to see before each visit with the midwives. My appts were always thorough and never left questions unanswered. It didn’t matter if I met with Harmony, Ivy, Jessica or Haddie, I always felt listened to and cared for. I was given the knowledge I needed to feel confident in my body’s abilities. I learned to trust that not only was I being cared for like family, but that I was fully capable of having the natural birth I wanted. When Haddie and Jessica arrived at my home at 4am on August 1^st, I was in a pretty intense part of labor and just knowing they were there made me feel safe and reassured. They were the perfect amount of involved… basically leaving me to do what was natural and primally driven, but always checking my and my baby’s heart to make sure all was going well and giving me that knowing smile that everything was. Even at the most difficult and painful parts, I knew I would be alright and that there would be a baby at the end of it all. It is now 2 weeks after my daughter was born, and I have been asked a bunch of times if I would do it the same way again. So many people were surprised that I chose an at-​home water birth for my first. I can answer, without hesitation, that yes, although it was the most difficult and painful experience I’ve ever had, it was also the most beautiful, empowering and amazing. I would never want it any other way. Thank you Rosemary Birthing Home and the incredible staff for making my visualization of how I wanted my first birthing experience to go into a reality. Rosemary Birthing Home is a wonderful place to go through your journey of pregnancy and delivery. All the midwives are very knowledgeable and personable. You receive lots of knowledge about the birthing process and they will answer any of your questions or concerns you may have. Rosemary offers birthing classes, which were very helpful to me, as a first time mom. Although I had a long labor, the midwives helped support me all the way through the healthy birth of my son. I was able to birth in the water, at the birthing home. It was so peaceful. My son is now 9 weeks old. I would definitely recommend Rosemary Birthing Staff to any pregnant woman who would like to have a natural birth, at the birthing home or at your own house.
