It’s a whole lot of money for not much really. Our waiter was Gabe and he was great. There was a blonde girl and the guy serving the prime rib who were clearly over their jobs. They may be sick of doing this everyday but this was our first time so at least try and take it. We were seated on the main floor and ate relatively early in the trip but some people didn’t eat till almost 8:00… They were not happy considering we started boarding a little after 6 so they waited 2 hours to eat! There has to be a quicker way to get everyone their food! We heard a brief welcome from the captain as we were departing and a thank you at the end but that was it. I thought it would’ve been nice to hear some commentary along the way. Things like facts about some of the cool houses or the depth of the water or anything… Tons of people were asking questions. They were asking their waiters or each other but somebody with some knowledge would’ve been great… Don’t waste your money…

We went on the cruise to celebrate a family member’s birthday. It lasted 2 hours which seemed like the right amount of time for dinner and taking in the scenery. The ship was clean and seating was tight, but ok. Our table was on the top floor which gave a great view. Unfortunately, we were the last table to be called for the buffet. Dinner includes a salad, prime rib or salmon, mashed potatoes and vegetables. They ran out of salad, so our group had to split what was left between us and we were served the very last piece of the prime rib. The balsamic vinaigrette dressing was very good. The vegetables were a combination of green beans and cauliflower; however, the beans were very undercooked. The prime rib tasted good and that portion size was hearty. We pre-ordered a cake for the occasion, but were told there was only one cake on board, for another group. We then went to get dessert and they ran out. When I asked the server if they could bring out more she said that was all they had and smugly said«it’s a buffet» — like what more do you expect. Soft drinks were an additional 2.50 per person. Coffee was served, but it was warm not hot. Overall, it was a decent meal and great scenery so I would go again. For the price, I would expect them to have enough food for everyone, so that part, along with the staff’s attitude about it, were disappointing.

Cool boat, very cramped, weak coffee, but overall a fun experience. 3 ½ stars. $ 56.95 + tax per person which includes tip. You board the boat about 30 minutes early and they immediately take your drink order. Coffee, water, and iced tea are free. Everything else including adult drinks are extra. Food is a buffet style meal with Prime Rib, Salmon, Salad, Bread, Veggies, and Mashed Potatoes. Everything tasted great so you will be happy with the meal. The cons to this trip were the weak coffee and the cramped table conditions. The tables are set up so tight that you hardly have room to spread out. If there are less than 5 in your party, you are sharing a table with other diners. Not a big deal at all, just adding this. Everyone was really nice on the boat. The trip is 2 hours from the time you start moving which is a good amount of time to enjoy your food and check out the great views. Dessert consists of Chocolate cake, Key Limo Pie, and Caramel Cake. No live entertainment and no wild activity, this is not a booze cruise. More of a formal sunset dinner cruise. No dress code though.

Gorgeous views and it’s nice and long so by the time it’s over you’re ready to go. The food was not the best and also we were assigned seats on the bottom floor so it was hard to see the water. We had to get up and go somewhere else for good views so if you go request upstairs. Also I was thinking there was going to be live entertainment and there isn’t ha so just an fyi there too.

I’ve been on quite a few dinner cruise charters and this was the most enjoyable experience I’ve had. First thing I noticed is how clean everything is. The tables, floor and especially the bathrooms were spotless. The staff were super friendly and the food was outstanding. It was easy to get around the ship and there was plenty of room, despite it being packed. In fact, my favorite part of this experience was how much room we had in the dining areas. Other charters I’ve been on have been really cramped with tables right next to each other, so it was refreshing to actually have room to move around. I’m looking forward to another trip on the Marina Jack II soon!
