My husband and I were in Longboat Key for a couple months. After our children and their families left, we look for things we can do. I found this on the Internet, so we went to visit. This museum is wonderful. We loved just walking around and enjoying all the pieces of art. The displays are great inside and out. The staff is so pleased to have you there. Next year when we return, I look forward to taking my 8 year old granddaughter. This is the perfect place to brighten your day!

This a fun place to browse the colorful artwork and on a nice day it’s fun to explore the outdoor area which is full of art and decorations. Hours are odd and suggested donation of $ 5 are to be noted. Just wish they sold food or treats and coffee so you could sit and relax in the pretty garden outside.

Lovely vibrant little museum filled w colorful statues, bright pictures, fancy little décor inside and out. My favorite is walking outside and checking out the garden décor. Bright pink flying pigs, a ballerina statue and a metal purple family statue. Lots of things to car your eye. The nice thing is admission is free, & they have a suggested donation box. The museum will probably take you an hour at the very most to walk through, maybe less. It’s still something different than you would see anywhere. Can’t beat free, fun and fuschia!

LOVETHISPLACE! It is just what it says — whimsical. The people who run it are charming and fun. The grounds are spectacular and everywhere you look you see something fun and imaginative. I love all the wonderful art on the inside; but, my heart belongs to that spectacular garden. Be sure to check out the rare«bat plant». I was here December 2014 and it was blooming — a real sight to see! Entrance to the museum is technically free. However, they do ask for a donation($ 5) for operating costs. It is well worth the $ 5. Parking is free in front(a couple spots), or on the right side of the museum there is a big lot(a giant flamingo marks the parking lot). Be sure to walk through the parking lot — there are a lot of fun sculptures and beautiful flowers. I highly recommend this charming museum — especially for kids; the garden area is fun to walk around an look at all the cool stuff. (NOTE: Go to the website or call before you go, because the hours and days are funky. In Dec. 2014, the days the museum was open was Thursday, Friday and Saturday — 1pm to 4pm. Make sure it’s open before you go.)
