Not very clean, equipment has same spots day after day. High pressure to join personal training, they do not honor what they promise. I was cheated out of many training sessions. I can’t get out of contract or else outrageous charges. Beware when joining or don’t join.

I adore this gym. I work at a school very near here and come work out after school. The whole staff is so welcoming and friendly. Prior to this gym, I have never been to one and was really embarrassed to go in, let alone use the machines. All the guys helped me out and have me tips on what to do and how to do it. I now have a personal trainer there and feel more comfortable going to the gym than ever!

This is an anti-military/veteran establishment! This has to be the sleaziest operation I have ever come across and feel they don’t even deserve the one star. I was a member here and am a 100% disabled Veteran and was having a scheduled surgery in Boston, with the surgeon I’ve had since getting out of the Army. I talked with one of their trainers my last day in Sarasota and he wished me luck. I gave my phone to a family member to hold while I was in the hospital, I ended up having major complications and was in intensive care fighting for my life. During this time my credit card must have expired and LA Fitness began calling, my family member told them the situation and said he had my card and would update it. They told him that only I could do that(understandable) and LA Fitness then proceeded to call my phone 288(no exaggeration) times while I was in the hospital in a medically induced coma. Calls came from all of their national offices because my card was now one week past and when told the situation they would tell my grieving family that there was no way to stop the calls. When representatives from the actual LA Fitness I belonged to called and after being told(again) that I was in the hospital in Boston, Massachusetts they would say, «well, we’ll be here until such and such a time today so send him in with his new cc information»…You’d think these people were the ones in a coma. My family members began recording the conversations and one especially lovely man from Irvine said«well, it’s not like we told him to serve so why should LA Fitness have to suffer? Unbelievable. Now that I’m up and somewhat able to move around but no where near able to return to Florida, I am able to look at my phone and see all of the 288 times they called in a 1 ½ month time period and I just got an email asking me to fill out a survey! These people are anti Veteran and anti disability and I strongly suggest that you find another(and cleaner) place to spend your money. When I’m able I’ll be going to Crunch and saving a bunch and using brand new equipment.
