First time I had a Bison burger and I enjoyed it. Was full so took house salad home. The place was noisy and had many tv’s showing several sporting events. Waitress was good.
I would go back and try the pot roast which was recommended by the two dinner guest. Also some of the desert.

Terrible service!!! Sat at a table for almost 20 minutes without any staff attention at all, and then on our way out explained the situation to the hostess who made it very clear she couldn’t care less. Sad.

Never a bad meal or bad service at any location you visit. Great food, service and atmosphere.

First time visiting I really enjoyed the atmosphere. I had the pasta a la gecko. You can choose between chicken or shrimp. I chose darken shrimp with Alfredo sauce. the shrimp was cooked very good only thing that I didn’t really enjoy was the Alfredo sauce was a bit grainy. Over all good experience.

Haven’t even ordered yet and I can tell you that we will never be back. After a small event about 20 of us showed up in the late afternoon. We did not call ahead or have a reservation, but the place was dead. The hostess made sure that we knew that she was not happy to serve us. The bar tender was incredibly rude and started insulting our group to other patrons when she didn’t think anyone can hear. It’s a dirty place with a rude staff. This was a group of senior citizens, not a group of teenagers. No was being rowdy or disrespectful and we did not deserve such hostility. If you want a pleasant experience, this is NOT the place to go.

For lunch today I stopped in at Gecko’s for their famous Gecko Burger. It is a good sized burger topped with chili and cheese, with a big deep fried onion ring on top. Not quite as flavorful as I would have expected what with chili on the burger but it was also not very messy. That may have been because some of my chili and cheese had slid off the burger. Still, my server just insisted I needed extra napkin.
Service was friendly and great from start to finish. It looked to be a very good lunch stop and I got in and out in a reasonable amount of time. In fact they did a good lunch business today, so others must agree. People checked on me a few time to see if I needed anything.

My buddy and I went to Geckos last night for the very first time for takeout for his wife and 2 yr. old son. We sat at a table and ordered a drink and our food. Three other tables that came in after us received their food 15 minutes prior to us. In fact, the couple of 2 right behind us were in a hurry (as we were) and needed to be out in 20 minutes the server told us. We then proceeded to order another drink during our meal and not once did the server come back. I got another manager and he ONLY took care of our 2 beers. The server said SORRY to us because she was real sick and they made her come in cuz they were short staffed last night. We r behind furious and the 2 drinks on Geckos was just a slap in the face. The only thing that place has going for them is a manager named Jacob ! That would be the only reason I would go back. He is top notch !

Took us four months to get here. Boy are we happy we made it. Service and food what Top Notch a great place to go for a quick bite and watch the sport of your choice. Will be going back again with friends.

My go to place for the best burgers in town! I can’t tell you how their other dishes are, because in 40+ visits to 4 of their 6 locations, I have never ordered anything else. One of the last restaurants that has enough faith in the quality of their beef, to serve a rare burger. Had the Gecko Burger tonight, with chili & cheese & it was incredible! Amazing fries, nice & soft on the inside, crisp outside or unique & delicious, crunchy, homemade potato chips. Great, quick service, Rio was especially attentive & pleasant. The first place I recommend to visiting guests. Oh yea, it’s a sports bar too, I even enjoyed watching gymnastics tonight. Very inexpensive too, so please be generous if the service is as good as usual :)

In some ways, Geckos is a typical sports bar — televisions on the wall, a bit crowded, noisy & fun. You can get wings, nachos and plenty of burger options.
But Geckos has a few points over Miller’s Ale House and the larger chains. It has several fish options that are decent, and some tasty out-​of-​the-​box appetizers including the boom-​boom shrimp and tuna nachos. The Geckos Burger is an over-​the-​top treat and the Bison Burger is a healthier alternative.
The service at Geckos is almost always better than average — the wait staff is attentive and accommodating.
There are a few additional extras that I like:
Geckos has a convenient take-​out service. Just call in and drive up to the window. They’ll bring it out to your car.
Additionally, the Geckos on Clark has a meeting room next door that we use regularly for a business luncheon that I am involved with. It’s also great for private parties — and they do a wonderful job hosting either variety.
We stopped at Geckos this past St Patricks Day. The corned beef and cabbage was delicious. My only complaint was that they had only one Irish beer (Guinness) to choose from, and Linse doesn’t like stout.
Overall, Geckos is a great option for a quick meal at a pub. They have a few good locations to choose from as well.

We eat here all the time. We had a server Leslie tonight. Had to ask 3x for lemon for our water (my husband had to go to the bar to get them) drinks came wrong 2x. Meals took 45 min. We had salads. Used to be our go to place! That was our last time.

Food — I usually go with the Jack Daniel’s chicken with sweet potato fries. Go with the apple butter sauce with the fries; you will not be disappointed.
Atmosphere — huge projection TV for big games and Sunday’s. Lots of TV’s to watch games on NFL Sunday’s.
Overall — Thumbs up

Loved this place! Our sever (forgive me, I can’t remember his name, but he wore glasses and was tall and blonde) was a great guy! He joked with us and gave us honest recommendations on food. He also reminded us that happy hour was coming up in just half an hour– which I really appreciate in contrast to the dudes who just want you to get the more expensive drinks.
The food was timely and delicious and the chicken pesto melt (?) was fantastic, per the server’s suggestion. We had generously dealt adult beverages as well, so who could possibly complain? Not us. My guess is, you wouldn’t either ;)

Another hometown favorite. I love all of the Geckos restaurants in SRQ, they have an awesome variety of foods to choose from so literally everyone in my family is pleased. This is not an easy feat, lemme tell you. I get pasta, my mom gets a salad, my dad gets a burger, brother gets wings, the list could go on. Good portions, great service, AND it’s the home of SRQ’s Seminole Club. Only complaint is that as it’s a sports bar, it can get really rowdy some nights which is a shame cause I come for the food more than I would ever come for the sports.

This place was busy on a wednesday night.
Service from Samantha and a trainee was attentive and prompt. Drinks were full and food was above par for bar food.
We started with their signature blue cheese chips. Im Not a huge blue cheese fan, but with the balsamic vinegar, red onions and bacon. Wow. I can see why my sister and bro in law call it crack. I went with the reuben and sweet potato fries. the sandwich was good, the fries were nothing special. rather borderline blah.
Atmosphere was good and tvs all around. Id say itd be a good place to catch a game.

One of my favorite local eats here in Sarasota! The staff treats me like I’m family, and I’m greeted by name. The Boom Boom shrimp tacos are my personal favorite, and who doesn’t love 2-​for-​1 drink specials all day every day?!

Great place especially for football weekends! Nachos are awesome. HUGE. Wings good, burgers good, salads good, pizzas good, prices good, and service was awesome! Monica you rock! Happy hour early and late! This is my new home away from home!

Good: open late, bad — too noisy and short menu, what is probably typical for most pubs. Saratoga bottled water is not good tasting — would not order it again. Ribs are not bad and a large portion — enough for two people to share.

Happy hour all day 2 for 1. Half price burger on Monday. I love their salads all the food is super fresh and dishes are home made and not prepackaged big portions and friendly staff casual dining there are several of these restaurants in the area and they serve the same good food

The menu is the same but seems like there is no consistency in the kitchen. I regularly get the blackened chicken Caesar wrap and the chicken breast is nicely sliced. On this visit, the whole chunky chicken breast was in the wrapped not sliced. Needless to say, the wrap fell apart in my hands. Not enjoyable at all. The chips were excellent.
A little disappointed with the service too. We ordered a soup and it came seconds before the dinner. Had to ask for the soup too. Seems like servers are constantly changing too. Guess it will be awhile before we go again.
