I went to Fresh Salon to have my hair styled and makeup done for my rehearsal dinner. They did a great job and I was very happy with how it turned out. I am giving it four stars instead of five because they screwed up my mother in law’s appointment and she had to wait for 20 minutes to finally see someone(timing is everything when you have a rehearsal dinner to get to!) and also the prices are a little on the high side(coming from someone who lives in NYC).

I usually like to see packages of hair I have ordered for extensions to make sure I am getting product I am paying for. I liked Bethany and thought I could trust her. She claimed she had put in all the hair I had ordered in addition to extra blonde pieces I had left with her. There is no way all this hair had gone into sides of my head. I had counted them. With all pieces being cut in half, some thirds plus blonde I had brought to her, I should have most of my blonde strands and approx. a bundle of browns. She told me she used all of the hair. My girl up north verified this summer. I have been calling to speak with her and she has not returned any of my calls. I think my hair was used on someone else. It is unethical to charge other clients for hair I have already purchased. This salon is skimming hair that others have paid for and selling to other clients, double profit? Most salons claim to store hair for clients but I wonder how many are trustworthy? I always had taken my hair home because I paid for it and keep safe for next application. There are crooked people in every business.

I should have trusted the other negative reviews on here about this salon. I should have trusted my gut. I asked for blonde highlights and came out copper. Exactly what I asked not to have done numerous times. Copper looks orange and orange looks good on no one. My skin color looks awful. I have a baby and getting to the salon is more of a hassle these days. I don’t have time to return after spending 3 hours in a chair to begin with to get them redone and highlights fixed. Especially being forced to see the person who did the bad job in the first place. The salon manager never even apologized. Not sure why Florida salons -(this is the sunshine state) — can’t figure out blonde highlights. Beyond frustrating. Also some common sense tips: Don’t try to push over priced products on me. Don’t try to up sell me. And don’t be pushy about me making another appointment when again I have a small child and my schedule isn’t nailed down 6 weeks out. I do not recommend this salon.

Entered in to the salon having booked a consultation with Jody, I was greeted by Eduardo and from that moment on it was an amazing morning. It is more than hair! It is a charming boutique managed by Eduardo with darling clothes and accessories, it has a bright open nail studio, it has quiet and comfy massage/facial areas and now we come to hair! I chose Jody because of the positive write ups she had here on Unilocal.All true. She is so very talented and experienced, takes a lot of time consulting about what you are looking for and what she would do. Amazing. She quickly scheduled me in for a little hair cut and it came out great. She was right about everything. i have now scheduled am appointment with her for hi lights! Jody recommended a product she likes and I agreed to give it a try. Upon checking I was given a «New Client«envelope with $$ off on products, next appt. and other services. An added bonus for me. I found this gem of a salon on the recommendation from another great business in the bldg. Michelle’s Brown Bag. So, had my hair done and had a really great lunch I’m going back of course.

I purchased«LiBrow» after cut and color. At the time of purchase, I mentioned how I’ve been trying to grow out my brows. The front desk women quickly turned around and handed me «LiBrow» and mentioned this was the best product and guaranteed the results and they would refund it if I was not happy with the results. She informed me about the product and again stated it was 100% refundable if I was not satisfied. However, when it came to returning the item I was passed from the front office personnel, to the manager and eventually the owner of the salon — not a good sign. I was given the usual«unfortunately«the front desk personnel no longer work there and they can’t verify what was said» this, from the office manager. I asked to speak with the manager; again I was blown off and told that«the manager also no longer worked there»; really? LiBrow cost $ 150.00 and the guarantee was promised and my father was there as a witness! I am dumbfounded at this point and pissed to be honest because I honor my promises and expected the same, especially from a business. I requested to speak with the owner of the salon. She stated she«would not refund my money» again because neither personnel where still working there; again really? What does that have anything to do with the salon’s «procedures as the owner put in place and then deny everything? She, of course, stated she was«unaware of the guarantee» and that they no longer carry the item. I wonder why? Is this really a way to run a high-end salon? As owner, she must be making hundreds of thousands of dollars and I just can not believe that she can’t honor the pledge at time of purchase and refund a $ 150.00 refund. Obviously, they do not stand behind their products or promises and use excuses in to get out of guarantees; in doing so; I wouldn’t trust anything the store offers and would never refer anyone to the salon.

Scott Bell is a miracle worker! This is the first time in years that I am in love with my hair! It’s also the first time in years that I haven’t been driven to hack at my hair myself in between appointments. He understands that I want a style that will looks good whether I use product or not. Fresh Salon was referred to me. I had moved years ago from Baltimore but had been returning to the salon in Baltimore whenever I flew there to visit family. After 12 years it was time to move on. From my first contact with Tiffany, one of the receptionists, I knew this was a salon which had knowledgeable and caring people. Tiffany was extremely helpful in directing me to the stylist who would be the best fit. I have thick, coarse, highlighted hair which has to be thinned. I needed a stylist who«could do blonde». Jody was recommended. On Fresh’s site there are bios of its stylists. The bio for Jody doesn’t begin to outline this incredible woman’s abilities! Jody sat down with me and actually listened to what I wanted and my concerns about cut and color. The highlights are amazing. The color looks so natural and beautiful. Jody told me that I had the thickest hair of anyone she has seen. Apparently, this is the consensus of every stylist I’ve ever visited, so I was very pleased with her expertise in thinning, shaping and controlling my hair. Jody is truly gifted and I am so happy that Tiffany was able to arrange an appointment for me. I’ve found my stylist in Sarasota!

Scott is the best colorist I’ve ever had. He has an eye for what works and looks natural, unlike my experience at the other top spots around town. The salon is great– nice people, luxurious shampoo massage, relaxed atmosphere– but most important of all, my hair has never looked better. That’s the bottom line, isn’t it?
