Famous Shoes

This is a reasonably good retailer for slightly discounted prices. They have been in business for years, though their prices aren’t as good as they used to be. The selections are somewhat limited too, though staff is willing to look in their storeroom for the sizes and styles you need.

Needed a pair of shoes while down on vacation so I stopped in. I usually use Amazon and other sites to try and price match and surprisingly the pair of shoes I ended up with was cheaper in store then I could find online so I didn’t need to.
Staff was courteous and had no issues, I would go back if I lived in the area.

Just got home from exchanging a pair of Sperry Topsider shoes which were slightly too small. We did not have a receipt, however, a salesman recognized us and remembered us buying the shoes, The Manager, Linda who refused to give a last name, told us, with a very nasty and aggressive attitude, that she could not exchange the shoes. We explained we frequented this store regularily and that we had spent a great deal of money at Famous Shoes between ourselves and our family members. We refused to be bullied by this woman and with the help of the friendly salesman, she begrudgingly agreed to exchange the shoes. We could tell by the look on the faces of the other salespeople, that they were embarrassed by Linda’s agressive behavior.
We were checked out by a different salesperson however, upon leaving the store, Linda, once again, found it necessary to demonstate her authority and confront us again. I suggested that Linda should reevaluate her position in customer service and perhaps look for employment where she does not have to interact with the public.
We will never go to this store again!

5 star customer service (Megan was great), good variety of shoes and brands, high quality merchandise. Didnt have the size of sandal I was looking for, but still was incredibly helpful in directing me where to find them. Highly recommend this store.

Famous Shoes is geared toward a middle-​age to older clientele, and offers both mens’ and womens’ shoes. There is a section with sale shoes, and then in the far back is a small section of New Balance running/​walking shoes and a wall of golf cleats and golf socks. The store is clean and organized, and the staff is friendly. Most of the shoes are name brand (Sperry Topsider, Merrell, Cole Haan, etc.).
