What a surprise! This place is right along Main St is Sarasota. It is a sports bar with an impressive amount of tvs-including one on the floor as you walk in. We went to bowl-yes bowl! They have a pool table and a two lane bowling alley right in the bar. It is a small area, that fits the two lanes and a bit of seating, so I would not recommend trying to get in on a busy sporting night or even a weekend, but we went on a Monday night and it was a blast. The waitress was attentive and offered suggestions on drink specials and party size appetizers. The margaritas(at a sports bar!) were delicious, but be warned: they salt the rim AND put a layer of salt inside the glass at the bottom. I sucked up a mouthful unsuspectingly. Typical sports bar fare, but it was surprisingly fresh AND several vegetarian options. Our party enjoyed the fried cheese ravioli, mozzarella cheese sticks, fries, and black bean nachos(the nachos were gigantic and served our entire party of 6). We managed to get in about 2 and a half games before our time ended. I will say, because the bowling area is a little smaller, our party was great when we were the only ones there, but towards the end of our second game another group of 6 arrived and although they were nice, it became a very crammed space of people scooting around each other, the lanes, and the tables. I would absolutely go back, even if it was just for a drink and a bite.

Evie’s tavern is great fun. We love their bowling alley. The food selection is perfect for the atmosphere. They have a large selection of beers on tap, as well as wines and cocktails. The service is very good.

Ambiance for a sports bar is a 10 everyone having a great time. Very accommodating for your choice of games. Thrilled to see they are open late. Service attentive. Problem is salads are just blah. Burger and fries were good and definitely a 4 star. Pizza looked good will try that next.

Really enjoyed this place. Good atmosphere, great drinks, and great food. If I’m back in Sarasota, I’ll definitely stop back in.

This was an interesting little spot to spend a Saturday when you’re from the opposite coast of Florida and used to a little bit different of a demographic. Sarasota is a bit more of a snowbird crowd overall, but this was a bar that apparently had just opened up but had a very cool new following of a younger crowd. Inside it reminded me of a Greene Turtle type of demographic, basically your sports bar type atmosphere. Lots of TVs, a large central bar with waiter service if you sit on the tables on the sides. There was a Florida game and also an FSU game on the night we went in so it was pretty packed, it seems to draw a younger crowd for this. It was cool because there was popcorn in the back for your munching pleasure and there were bowling lanes on the far side of the bar that were available which I didn’t even notice until we left-I actually thought that was part of the place next door-it’s separated off by glass but it seems to be part of the bar. That was really cool and something totally different. I would come back here in a flash if back in the area which I might be eventually, it was a cool spot in a strip of randomness, there seemed to be a bunch of bars in this area but this one seems to be one of the most happening ones on the strip. Stop in for sure.

Excellent appetizers and cold 16oz local on draft beers! Thanks to our server Colin and manager Amber for adding the extras during our chilling first visit to the new on Main Street location. Have to say the wings in a medium and teriyaki sauce was perfect. The potato skins were deliciously gooey cheese and bacon exactly the way it should be! Remember parking garage is behind less than a block on State Street. Safe, well-lit and nearby. Will be back!

Someone dropped some serious ching on renovations. The space has everything you could want. Private party room, personal bowling alley, flat screens are visible from just about everywhere but the bathroom(and even there you can still hear the game). Good food, pool table, pop corn machine, full bar and 25 beers on tap.

Evie’s Tavern & Grill on Main Street is a fine addition to the the Evie’s brand in Sarasota. I only had the nachos, but the food seems to be the same standard fare you’d expect at an Evie’s. It’s not amazing, but it’s decent bar food. The real star of this location is the bowling alley featuring two lanes that can be reserved for groups.
