This is one of the few places near me that is open past 10pm. Also, being that I am from the northeast I think their pizza is pretty good and on part for what you would find back home. Drink and wings specials during the week. Friendly staff and fast service. Reasonable prices for what you get.

Ok I have eaten here 3 times in the last week. never again! I am a business traveler working in I Sarasota, I am very familiar with what Applebee’s had to offer. First, I travel alone and eat at the bar, the bartenders were very local friendly but not very accommodating to new comers. The nachos I had last night are no longer steak as advertised but hamburger, I have really devoured that at other locations. I had the salmon with raw not grilled spicy ached as it is too cooked at other locations. They will not make the pepper encrusted without the pepper only other way is stout gravy. So I never had a steak at this location as they would not accommodate me as others have. I ordered s margarita with a coronets omg the thing that holds the beer over the bottle was covered in mold. The barmaid offered nothing when she saw the molded mess and still charged me! Done done and done

We rented the 2 lane bowling alley at Evie’s Tavern. We had a really great time in doing so. There were eight of us, which was a perfect number to bowl.
The night started off slowly. It took them a while to set up the bowling correctly. It took them quite a while to clear the mess from the people before us. And it took them a while to start getting our drinks and food going.
You rent the lanes for two hours. The lanes have a timer for bowling during those two hours. The problem is, if they don’t start on time or whatever, the timer runs out and you lose your scores in your present games.
So if it wasn’t for those things I listed, I would have given it 5 stars.
The food was good. The bowling was a great time. And the room was perfect with our party of eight.

A great neighborhood bar/​grill! Food is very good! Pizza is the bomb!!! Took the grandkids and they enjoyed the pool table, rolling the balls around. Unfortunately, the older folks didn’t enjoy the noise! It is loud, but… you know that when you go in! Watching your favorite sports event with friends, great place! Super busy right now with the Northerners being here!

We were regulars at Evie’s for over 2 years every Friday and sometimes we went there when we just felt like going out.
Our last time there was when I ordered fish and chips and my wife ordered wings.
They were served in lined baskets sitting in about a quarter inch of melted grease.
I’m not one to complain, so we ate what we could and left, not to return.
We may give it a try again some day, but the memory of those entrées in pools of grease needs to fade more first.
The beer was fine.

Food is ok, but the service sucks!
Went in for an afternoon pizza and there was a amazon looking woman that waited on me. Maybe the manager. She was not helpful or friendly. Never ordered a pizza there so was inquiring about crust, prices etc. I was bothering her I could tell.
Why work with the public if you don’t like people?
Too bad, won’t go back even though the pizza was pretty good.

The jalapeño poppers had a red type of pepper in them instead of green, brilliant, unique and delicious!

I was pleasantly surprised with this place, I am in walking distance from this location which can be a good and bad thing.
Two pros definitely outweigh the only one con I have about this place.
Pizza is pretty big I think the large is 18 inches and the price is less than the competitors by a good margin which makes this place more appealing. Another pro is that there is no burnt crust, and it is fluffy.
The only con I can see is that this location is pretty hidden and is small.
I know full well I will definitely return if they keep making the pizza the way they do.

Stopped in with friends for the first time recently. Pleasant surprise! Pizza was delicious, drinks were great, service was super and took immediate care of a spilt beer. Reasonably priced, highly recommend!
Not too many places for food and drink in that portion of University Pkwy, glad Evie’s is there!

Very nice neighborhood bar. We’ve been living here for 6 months and it has become our go to place. Good burgers. Great wings. Pizza a little greasy but ok. Staff takes good care of you. Nothing fancy but great place.

Went here on a late Saturday afternoon a couple of weeks ago. Party of 5 no problem, place was mostly empty, but started filling up by the time we left. Ordered the «Popeye» pie and a sausage pizza. Being raised in NJ makes me a little bit of a pizza snob. This is very good pizza, not the best, but very good. We also had wings and Greek salad. Wings nice and crisp. Salad tasty and thankfully no potato salad in it, something this Jersey guy just can’t get used to here in Tampa Bay. Nice beer selection, good food… Try it!

I moved in the area a year ago and passed by this place thinking its a bar and they might have good wings (which they do!!), but their pizza is probably frozen. I couldn’t be more wrong.
I tried all the pizza places around and they suck but Evies is awesome. If you want real NY style pizza, and fresh, then so not pass this place up!
You will not be disappointed!

This place is the business!!! The back patio is great, The Big Black Gentleman that served our table was the BEST! Seriously, funny and that humor that goes along well in a sports bar. He put the hockey game on for me which is what counted the most.
Highly suggest this place. Cold Coor’s light! I ordered the Philly Cheese Steak with Double Meat!!! Do it! It is soooooo good! I promise you it will remind you of Jim’s steaks on south street. No steak um here its the real beef. Sorry they don’t use whiz but the Philly Steak fried mushrooms, onions and peppers with american cheese, double meat! Fantastic!

Evie’s Tavern is a great place to catch a game, get a slice of pizza and drink a beer. Bartenders and servers have always been friendly to me.
Best things about Evie’s are:
1. They carry all sports packages including NHL Center Ice.
2. You can order pizza by the slice. I recommend green pepper and onions.
3. They have life music on most weekend nights. Sometimes the music is even good.
4. There is a blackjack dealer in the back where you can «bet» chips where the winner receives a free drink. Dealer works on tips.
Tip: If you order pizza and if you are from the Philadelphia area you will want to tell the server to make the pizza well done or crispy so that it’s prepared properly.

This place is cool. Nice long bar to belly up to. Pizza by the slice that comes out fast and tastes great. Huge televisions to watch the game. Nice service, which was a little slow but acceptable considering the place was busy. I’m coming back to watch the next big game.

Decent, local tavern that has a $ 5, 18″ pizza special on Wednesdays (dine-​in). This draws a good crowd and since they have no seating system in place, it’s a free for all waiting for a table. Ordered a plain pizza crisp, it was not, but for $ 5 bucks, what the heck. Be careful though, if you can’t finish your pizza, we were told that they would not provide a box for you to take home what you don’t finish. And also, make sure you you check your tab– ours was presented without the $ 8 discount for the pizza. Honest mistake? Maybe, but the couple sitting next to us had the same experience 5 minutes later and have heard the complaint from other folks as well.
