I was super excited to be around for the Drum Circle. It happens every Sunday at dusk! It appears to be dependent on who shows up. There were a handful of drummers and a few people with hula hoops. People say in a circle and people could come into the circle at their will. It was okay to me. I guess I thought I’d see more people twirling around in the middle as well as lots of drumming and tiki torches. That was not the case.

We came and we saw. The Captiva Drum Circle was interesting. I really didn’t know what to expect but I liked it. It was people from every different walk of life. That was probably the best part of the drum circle.

Bring your artistic side out. This is a local gathering every Sunday from about 5– sunset. If you drum — bring it Hoola hoop– swing those hips Tambourine — shake it Jump in — dance Participate — don’t just stand around and watch It is so much more fun that way But if you are too timid — it’s ok everyone just smiles at this weekly ritual

No food here unless you bring your own. It’s a great time. Lots of traffic to get in and out. Still a must see.

Amazing is the word. It was amazing to gather with a bunch of people in a circle and listen to drums and watch others in the circle dance and hula hoop. They do this every Sunday night and start an hour before sunset and continue until dark. Many people brought folding chairs, coolers, had drinks and food and blankets. This is really good for all ages. I took my 16 month old son who absolutely loved it. Great music and people watching!
