Food ridiculously overpriced. 11.99 for two crab cakes about the size of your average small cookie. Last time I ate something priced similarly for that amount of food it was caviar.

Great options for drinks! I had the green parrot which is dangerous because you barely taste the alcohol mixed in with the slushy type drinks. I think this is definitely a place to go and have drinks and relax but it’s totally not a place to go for food. Maybe the appetizers would be better with drinks. I had the garden veggie wrap which was just plain with lots of mushrooms. It didn’t taste bad but it wasn’t anything special. The fries also tasted like they had just been defrosted. My husband had the shrimp po-boy which he thought tasted pretty good. But we both agreed to definitely come back for drinks, but maybe after we eat dinner elsewhere They had a musician singing and playing music so the atmosphere is great!

I was out shopping with my sister in law and we decided to stop in. I ordered crab cakes with and she ordered mozzarella sticks. Those crab cakes were not very good at all. I figured because I was in Florida, it would be fresh. It didn’t taste fresh at all. It had an old fishy taste to them. The dipping sauce it came with wasn’t very good either. The cheese sticks were good though.

This place was all over the board with comments. My opinion is that it’s a tourist bar /restaurant, just calling it like i see it. Judy was our server and was efficient and very personal, sweet young lady. Crab cakes are tasty, chicken fingers probably frozen were tasty, good French fries, Ceasar salad was very tasty. There was no wait on Wednesday night, service was fast. Quick decent place for dinner with live music!

After leaving a terrible experience at the Irish bar nearby, it was a pleasant surprise to have such a great experience. From the moment we walked in the customer service was great! Kenna was amazing. She took great care of us. I would highly recommend this place. Their drinks are delicious and the service is great! Ask for Kenna. She is the best:)

A tourist trap with bad food and worse service! Went for lunch and we were the ONLY people there. It took the waitress about 5 minutes to even acknowledge us and then she was less than gracious. Ordered 2 beers, one draft and one bottled. When I asked for a glass and slice of orange with the one beer(the way it is usually served and enjoyed) you would have thought I had asked for her to donate an organ. Really? She wasn’t busy… Next ordered the nachos with chorizo to share. They consisted of a few chips with perhaps 2 ounces of grated cheese, some jalapeños, some chopped under-ripe tomatoes and perhaps an ounce of bland chorizo. Kind of expensive for something I could have thrown into the microwave. Skip it!

Fun place to check out near lido beach. We came at a perfect time since it was happy hour which is 3 – 6 daily I believe. The daiquiris were buy one get one free for small sizes and you must order the same flavor. We had the green parrot and purple haze. The green parrot was really good and not too sweet but it might have have as much alcohol as their purple haze which had an intense alcoholic flavor. The drinks only came out to $ 6 per buy one get one free offer. It was a fun touristy place to check out.

This place was good before the expansion. Service is ridiculously slow. Food is okay but overpriced. Music in the bar area is so loud makes it impossible to hear anyone in your party… and I love live music. Ugh… Better off going to cha cha’s. Too bad circle needs better places…

Despite the name, this restaurant is not only good for the daiquiris. The food is terrific. We sat out on the patio and took in the view and the sea breeze and relaxed. We ordered the wings and the steak salad to share and they were both wonderful. I’m not a fan of breaded wings and they were happy to accommodate me by making them«naked.» The steak salad had huge chunks of fresh blue cheese that was just wonderful although I didn’t care for the dressing-it was waaay too sweet for me. They are a little pricey for what you get, and I think that is because of the area they are in. The restaurant never filled up despite the fact that it was dinnertime and the other restaurants seemed slammed. Overall, a very nice, relaxing experience.

Great drinks, great food, great location, great service. I had the voodoo love drink to start and was pleasantly surprised when I received two drinks because it was buy one get one happy hour. The drink was great and they didn’t skimp on the rum. For starters my son had oysters and he said they were just okay. For main course I had the grouper sandwich and it was fantastic. I got sweet potato fries with it and they were great too. My husband had the Mahi club and said it was very good. Prices were decent and our server was very nice. Our food came out fast and hot. I look forward to going back soon.

Had a lunch of oysters on vacation. They were served very nicely and well shucked. My husband had a club sandwich and he enjoyed it quite a bit. My only complaint is that when ordering a beer, half of what we tried to order wasn’t available. Apparently the menus were getting changed. This was kinda bothersome and could easily have been brought to our attention by telling us what was available instead of checking every time we tried to order. Still, we lucked into a key lime wheat beer by a local brewery. That beer gets 5 stars!

We are not big drinkers, yet this charming place could make me a regular! Spouse and I attended a Sarasota Orchestra concert at Van Wezel, and we didn’t want to just end the evening. Spouse suggested trying out the Daiquiri Deck a few times, and suggested it again, so let’s go! Arrived around 10:30 on a Saturday night. Nobody at the tables, about 8 people at the bar. So much for Sarasota night life! Good bartender helping out the newbies. He recommended two concoctions(Pain in the Ass and Kryptonite, gotta love those names!), we ordered those, both were delicious! Good vibe to the place, and the menu looks good if/when we return for eats + drinks. Atmosphere, service, drinks all A’s.

Daiquiri Deck is a pedestrian watering hole smartly catering to the non-discriminating palate. The drinks and food are both overpriced, but due to its location right next to Lido beach, this makes perfect sense. The staff is friendly, though some of the wait staff leave a lot to be desired. Foodwise, I have tried the Mahi Bites, and the chicken wings. The waiter said that they checked on the presence of dairy in these items, and was wrong both times. Myself and my dinner companion both agreed that the cooks must not want to cooperate with the waiters, because every time we asked her to confer with the cooks, she came back looking harried and slightly frustrated. We didn’t press the issue, and earned stomach aches for it, haha. That being said, the entire restaurant is pleasant and airy. The outdoor seating offers wonderful views of the area, and a great cooling breeze. Happy hour is a decent enough deal. Buy one get one free on 12 ounce Daiquiri, meaning that you get 24 ounces of liquid courage for about $ 8. For a beach tourism community, that’s not bad.

This whole experience was a disappointment. I showed my out of state friend Siesta Key /St Armand’s and our lack of knowledge cost us. Everything is marked up to where I didn’t even want to order food but I got the blackened mahi mahi sandwich with coleslaw and added an order of onion rings. The fish was fine, but the bread made the sandwich unbearably dry. The coleslaw was so sweet it could’ve been dessert. The onion rings were claimed to be beer battered but these were the terrible frozen onion rings that are everywhere. I was so disappointed in how not crunchy and soggy everything was. The happy hour deals are good. Come for $ 2.75 pints and $ 9 pitchers between 4−7pm but I do not recommend the food. My friend liked her fried oysters and her sandwich came with a mayo based sauce.

I stayed on Lido Beach this weekend and found the Daiquiri Deck online before arriving and thought it was worth a visit. I came in with high hopes. I went on Friday night and the place was almost dead. Not what I expected for a bar on Friday night. Talking to locals, St. Armand’s Circle as a whole isn’t a huge late night destination so that probably plays a role but it was still disappointing. As far as service and drinks(I didn’t have food there), service was OK. There was only about 8 people at the bar and it was pretty obvious the bar staff was slowly starting to clean up/shut down the bar. I ordered a cocktail and then tried two frozen drinks. The drinks were decent but nothing to write home about. It wasn’t very warm the first night, I can only imagine how much better it would have been on a warm summer’s night. One thing that bothered was overhearing some of the bar staff discussing how one of the lights on the frozen drink machine was broken but how«every $ 50 counts». So it would appear this location is having some financial problems. Note for employees, don’t talk about how well the business is or isn’t doing right in front of patrons at the bar. I stopped by again on Sunday night because it was so close to my hotel. Again, it was pretty dead, about 8 people at the bar. It was really cold outside, about 42 degrees if I remember correctly when I got there and they had the bar door and main entrance door open. I couldn’t believe it. I realize they like to keep the doors open for fresh air but they need to realize you can’t have open doors when it’s that cold, especially a place that specializes in frozen drinks. I had one drink and was freezing. I would have stayed but decided to head downtown for the remainder of the night. Ironically, at the bar I went to downtown, the patrons next to me were talking about how they were at the Daiquiri Deck and left because of how cold it was. Overall, I think this location has potential. I believe there are a few other Daiquiri Decks in the area. If you’re staying on Lido or are visiting St. Armand’s Circle, it might be worth a visit. On a warm Summer night, maybe it’s better but from my visits, they have room for improvement.

Love the frozen drinks! But be careful they do a number on you! Ordered the lobster fondue… loved it, if you come, get it. My father ordered the grouper and hated it. Sent it back and was accommodated for it proving good service. P.s jumbo shrimp… Aint so jumbo.

Slow weekdays, the beach mere feet from me, and a daiquiri bar calling my name. I was a little hungry, so why not. I didn’t actually have any alcohol, but maybe I should have. I got the«Maryland Style Crab Cakes» because I think it’s cute when another state tries something like that. Again, this place is near Lido Beach in Florida. We’re not in Maryland. For the most part they were very good. I could have eaten more. Why? Because they were tiny! These are more like crab cake patties. These are not actually MD style. I’m an expert in MD style as I’ve lived there my whole life. If life handed out PHD’s I would have one for Maryland. However it was a valiant attempt. The taste was fine, but they could have been bigger. My waitress was super friendly and nice, and if I was here all the time I’d be back.

The atmosphere is what it’s all about. We were here for a group run with MTC running club. The Daqiuri Deck did a great job handling all 70 of us. As I was waiting for the runners to return I ordered the Grouper bites they did not disappoint very good. The Deck put out wraps, large shrimp and hummis for the runners also very good but i don’t eat processed meat so I ordered the lobster wrap very large portion with lobster meat falling out. If your ever at StArmonds Circle stop by and have a bite.

We had a blast at this bar/restaurant. It’s clean and in such a trendy area it lends to great people watching. The restaurant is clean, casual and open to the outside. The bartenders were great very patient and attentive. We tried a variety of the drinks all were decent. We ordered the seafood platter blackened and it was surprisingly good! The seafood was super fresh and perfectly cooked. The scallops were the best we have had in a while! So big and well seasoned we loved them so much we almost ordered another platter just for more scallops! The fish and shrimp on the platter was very good too! When we come back to visit we will be sure to stop here again!

hahahha, isn’t this a fun place? It’s got some fantastic décor downstairs(which frankly, was a heck of a lot more contemporary/modern-ish than I expected), a very large bar, ample high top seating, tons of daiquiri machines doing their slurpee swirling thing of various flavors, as well as a fabulous bartender(Stephanie). We ordered a variety of drinks, all of which we enjoyed very much so. We also ordered all things fried, gator bites, French fries, sweet potato fries, fish tenders(recommendation by Stephanie, instead of the chicken ones), and a huge plate of nachos. It all went down quite smoothly — we were happy, no complaints. The prices are reasonable, the service was fantastic(Stephanie is a kickass bartender), they have several TVs for you to watch whatever event/show you’d like to watch, and it’s really a no brainer. ***PROTIP — you can mix flavors of daiquiris and ask for the required floaters on top :) THIS has been a review by Gaurav
