Always great food and the best Mojito North of Key West. Nothing short of spectacular. Daniel was great and Rafael, always a pleasure.

I’d probably give it a 3.5, but figured I’d round up. The food is fresh, the atmosphere is cute. The peanut butter and chocolate dessert was okay. The chicken salad was good.

Found this place by default but glad we did! Great food great service. I had the chopped salad with filet and my company had the pork chop with mushroom risotto, both were very good! Sat outside on side walk and enjoyed people watching and great weather! I will go back!

We had a wonderful experience sitting in a romantically lit nook at night served by an incredibly kind waiter(Christian from Belgium). Then to top it off, they served the best food we had while in Sarasota. Definitely recommend the filet with foie gras and the seafood pot pie. The deserts and appetizers were also well done. All in all, it wrapped our trip up nicely.

I was surprised the food was good because it seemed like everyone was just there to drink. Lots of young drinkers which gave it a club feel so we sat outside on Saturday night around 1030pm. Waiter was friendly & fast. Shrimp tacos had coleslaw & aioli & corn tortillas. They were tasty but small & no side. Not sure I’d go back late night because of the crowd there. Loud & drunk is the best way to describe them.

Casual yet elegant atmosphere. Attentive staff and creative brunch menu. The crepes are made to order. So delicious with lightly seasoned vegetables and yummy creamy egg yolk. Side salad and fruit finish this filling but not heavy brunch.

Nice atmosphere and really nice staff thank you! :) But only 3 stars because there are a few problems with some menu items. First, there really should not be tiny shrimp in hot crab dip, and there should absolutely not be more shrimp than crab in it. Second, the dinner portion of fish and chips should include more than the equivalent of 3 Mrs. Paul’s fish sticks. I don’t want to be too harsh so I’ll stop there. Hopefully someone who knows food will review the menu carefully from a customer’s perspective not a budget perspective. Our party had a nice time otherwise and liked the staff very much.

Classico is prime downtown real estate with great drinks and atmosphere; however, the menu needs an overhaul. The service although fre unduly is painfully slow(both to take orders and in bringing the check). It’s a very social spot that needs better appetizers and lighter food choices. The entrees are heavy and lack any real taste. This particular visit was with another couple. We ordered beef carpaccio, margarita flatbread, goat cheese salad, tuna entrée, and fish tacos x2(lettuce wraps and tortillas). Again, the drinks were great, the service slow and food mediocre. I like this spot too much for it not to get any better. Improvements needed. ASAP.

Had to beg for a menu then beg for a server to come to the table. Middle of the day and the restaurant was not busy, watch the servers mill around after they were told there were people that needed service. Don’t waste your time there’s other restaurants in downtown Sarasota…

Clasico is a stellar spot in the DTSRQ. Lively jams inside. Shady chillness outside. And some cozy vineclad outdoor seating by the inverted bay windows that every good patron should aim for, no matter how tempting those cushioned couches may appear. The heavy-pour bartenders also do a lot to improve the overall comfort level for all visitors. But let’s turn our attention to the only meal that makes day drinking seem acceptable: Sunday Brunch — the last defense against the descending anxiety of the inevitability of Monday. Clasico provides you the option(though, I’m not sure why anyone would option otherwise) to engage in some infinite bubbles with their Liquid Brunch for $ 24. Because without champagne, brunch is just a sad, late breakfast. Oh! There is food too. The Croque Madame is my personal go-to, rich(Gruyère cheese and Bechamel sauce), but balanced out with a well-structured side of fruit(though the Vitamin C from the mimosas should stave off the cold on their own). The Traditional Eggs Benedict and Omelet Clasico are also consistent wins. If you are unnerved by the lack of the de facto breakfast potatoes, you can easily compensate with some truffle fries. Brunch Hard Sarasota!

Clasico Café is a pretty cool place. Depending on whether you prefer sitting inside or outside, they’ve got both. The inside of Clasico is very hip. You have choices; either the restaurant, or the large bar, or even a lounge sitting area. So many options inside. But there’s also a great patio outside, that’s fantastic for people watching, mostly because it sits on the corner of Main Street and Palm Avenue. Clasico has a very nice menu, and everything we tried was extremely good. We have been looking forward to going back. The problem is, there are so many fun places to try in Sarasota. But, Clasico is definitely one we will return to. The only reason I gave it a 4 is because the waiter forgot things, a few times. Hopefully next time I can change it to a 5.

It’s a one star… Just above McDonalds or Burger King. The food sucks. I ordered the Cobb Salad and it had the smallest amount tomato, grilled chicken, and no avocado. Also, the salad dressing tasted like it was out of a bottle. :-( I also had the fish & chips(French fries). Definitely, was not fresh. Lots of other places to eat — Epicure across the street is excellent!

The blonde, female bartender called my fiancé an «f’ing dick» because he wanted another drink since there were fruit flies in his bourbon. The best part of it though was when one of the OWNERS sat five feet away from us to try to eavesdrop on our conversation, yet didn’t come up once to talk to us about it after we talked to a manager. He should have done everything in his power to ensure that we come back and have a good time but he took the cowards way out and let one of his employees verbally abuse a customer for no reason. As a bartender and manager myself here in Sarasota, this kind of treatment was unacceptable. Maybe we’ll come back when the blonde bartender learns how to cap her bottles at the end of the night and the whole staff, including owners, learns some proper service industry etiquette. At least our server was awesome. It’s a shame that the food was so good

Came here for a very tired meal after a long day of fishing. Glad we came here when we did, because I feel like this joint gets very clubby after a certain hour? While we were here, the DJ was still playing some chill lounge music to ease us into our evening. Food was cool. Loved my fish tacos! Customizable to allow for fried and grilled fish on the same plate. Although, I guess you can’t really do fresh fish wrong in this area. Great negronis from behind the bar, as well. Enjoyed a bubbly/gin/St. Germain/sage cocktail which was very tasty as well. Don’t judge me guys! I’m aware that’s a «feminine» drink and I don’t care. Cool café in a cool small city in a great area of the country!

My partner and I attempted to go to Clasico Café, but after 20 minutes of sitting at a table and no service even looking at us, we walked out. We stopped by «downtown historic» Sarasota while headed up to Tampa airport and decided on this place because there was a guy playing a vintage piano outside. I appreciated the randomness of that. The place was kind of empty, which is never a good sign, but it was a bit in the afternoon after the brunch rush. The hostess gave us a brunch, a lunch, and a dinner menu, so I really didn’t know which one to order from. There were waiters all around serving food, but we just sat there with no one even looking at us. At the end of the day, we had a flight to catch and couldn’t just sit around for an hour and a half for a burger. I’m not the type to just walk out of a restaurant randomly, but this place gave us a very good reason when literally everyone there ignored use. We just went across the street to the Italian café and had a quick sandwich and headed out. Too bad.

Disappointing first visit. On a lazy very hot Sunday afternoon we just happened in this downtown Sarasota spot for a late lunch on the way to the airport. We were greeted promptly upon out arrival and seated by the friendly hostess at a high too near the kitchen and the bar. Unfortunately, we waited aprox 10 – 12 mins without being greeted or served. So we gave up and left. After watching no fewer than six employees walk past us in a nearly empty restaurant without even one of them enquiring about our lunch, we gave up and decided to grab a quick sandwich across the street. Exactly what you wouldn’t want to happen.

* Welcome Experience — Ordinary Greeted. Seated. Was fine. * Establishment — Ordinary I didn’t find anything of note here. Some tired but passable décor. Was fine. * Service — Ordinary I feel like the server could have been much more attentive. She visited rather infrequently, but then again we are low maintenance. I guess more than anything else she seemed… Disinterested. Whatever. * Food Quantity /Quality /Presentation — Ordinary I ordered the French dip. The bread was right.(That’s usually the first thing to be a mess on a sandwich, a meal whose VESSEL is the bread!) The meat was microwaved and for way too long. It was very tough and unnaturally«microwave» hot and tough. And over seasoned too. Way too much salt and I love salt! The Au Jus was also way overseasoned. Again I’m a fan of salt. This was too much. This came with a side of fries.(I also believe a French dip should always be accompanied by horseradish and while none was on the plate none was offered either.(Blah.) My cousin ordered the burger. This was encouraging and made this a STRONGTHREE star review. The burger was ordered medium and served medium-well(of course) and came with fries. The fries are those batter-covered four-process stations away from potato, shipped in frozen fries. Great for kids’ birthday parties and little league celebrations. Not so great at a grown-up dark restaurant with candles on the tabes. * What I’ll remember :sigh: nothing really. * What I can’t wait to forget The salt hammer that was brought down by the French Dip with Au Jus. My cousin lives a few minutes from here. He said he wouldn’t return. I agree with that judgment. The search continues!

Great vibe, food, and service. I thought this location was cursed until Clasico came along. Finally, a sustainable business attracting a regular crowd. It’s a younger crowd for Sarasota. They have a DJ on weekends playing EDM, live music at times(folksy), and a nice cocktail menu. I’ve always enjoyed the food I’ve ordered. The pork belly lettuce wraps are fab. Sliders were great. Servers are always friendly and attentive. No complaints ever. Oh, wait, except the women’s bathroom is ridiculously small. They managed to squeeze in two stalls that can only pass one thin person at a time. That’s okay. We get by with a «pardon me» and all is well. The inside atmosphere is nice, but I love sitting outside with the torches and cars driving by. Makes me feel like I’m in the city.
