I love the breakfast here. I try to go at least once a week. A great little breakfast spot.

Sometimes Im torn on telling people about Charlie’s. I’ve been going there since it was Phil’s 35 years ago. IT’S MYPLACE! Was married for 3 years before I even told my wife about it. Now she’s all about it! Chuck and the crew there are awesome! It is the best cheesesteak in town. I am very picky about cheesesteaks. Great hoagies! I go anytime I get within 3 miles of the place. It’s a destination…

I heard so many great reviews about this place… I am willing to try once more but my first experience was not that great. I ordered the Philly steak with the pickles grilled onions and ketchup. This is a house favorite. I love a good sandwich and was so looking forward to it. I was disappointed when I took my first bite and what I tasted was dill pickles and ketchup. I opened the sub roll and there was barely any meat at all. It was less than one slice of deli sliced meat for the entire sub. The sub came with a side of fires and was $ 9.95. It was not worth it. I typically do not go so far as to write a bad review but this was a terrible Philly. I was not expecting tons of meat– actually, I prefer a balanced amount– too much meat is not appealing to me either– but I do want enough to taste.

I go to this place at least once a week. This cheesesteak is so good. Try the seasoned fries as well. Actually just get the cheesesteak special with seasoned fries. You can thank me later.

What attracted me to this hole in the wall were the blue collar workers walking out in droves with greasy bags of food. Sure enough, I tried it out and it was exactly what I expected… a simple but tasty and inexpensive place to get sandwiches and fries. I always get the BLT, but my fellow diners got turkey sandwiches and Italian hoagies, which they both raved about. Fries are crinkle cut and fried fresh. I tried their steak and cheese, which I thought was just okay. It needed extra mayo or red pepper paste for more flavor in my opinion. The place gets a little smoky with grill going, so expect to smell a little like a diner when you walk out.
