Ive tried to find another place as good thats closer to home but its impossible. I made the 40 min. drive to get there today Michelle did my pedicure. I was not disappointed in the least. I had the regular pedicure with french polish. It was so much better than I get anywhere else that I wonder what they do for the Delux ?? Ill have to try!

The most awful gel manicure and nail service I have ever experienced. Picture this scene… nail salon is dead (only two other patrons there), plenty of open chairs, 4 workers huddled in the back room. You walk in, they rush to greet you and ask you what services you’d like. After you tell them you and your friend would like gel manicures and would like to sit together, they immediately place you at different stations across the salon from each other. Explaining to the lady that you would like to sit next to your friend and ask to be moved, she tells you no, you stay here. You ask why you can’t sit with your friend, she rolls her eyes and then gathers her things to move you near your friend. Things seem okay now, they start filing your nails. They are less than 60 seconds into filing and start persistently asking you and your friend if you’ve picked your color yet, mind you they have just set down the gel color box selections in front of you 10 seconds prior. You have one hand in a bowl of water, one hand being filed… with what hand am is one supposed to look through this color selection with? Fumbling through the colors with your watered down hand you quickly choose. They file your nails so low down to the cuticle bed it starts to bleed, she asks you «oh you hurt?». it pretty obvious at this pointt?! wtf? She has you put on gloves with no finger tips to «protect me from the light”-gloves didn’t seem like they had EVER been washed. She sloppily applies base coat and color that it gets onto your skin and she has to use a dipped brush to take it off of your surrounding nail skin. On other parts of the nail, the color doesn’t even cover the sides. Every time you put your hand in the machine to dry, she takes it out before 60 seconds is complete and moves on to the next step. In addition to alcohol she sprays on at the end, she puts on cuticle oil over your completed gel manicure and then proceeds to weakly massage it into your arm as if it was a lotion? When asked if that was CUTICLE oil being massaged into my arm she replies with «cuticle oil good for yo skin». She then proceeds to file the gel nails AFTER they have dried? what? How is this place still in business? You and your friend are in and out in under 20 minutes flat. You contemplate driving to a completely different nail salon just to have them take OFF the appalling gel nails you just received. Bottom line is rushed, rude, terrible work and appalling.

It is 8 o’clock and we are at Cali Nail pro in the Southgate mall. We think it is the best and most professional nail spa you can go to late at night. The massage is outstanding. It is clean, relaxing and professional. They are always a lot of fun.

Went in to get my first set of gels and they were in such a hurry that they sacrificed quality. They didn’t get the sides covered well or up by the cuticle, it looks like I have had them for a week already. I don’t know if I will even make it 2 weeks before I have to take them off. I am very busy with work and have 2 young children, this was a special treat for me and I am disappointed. I will not be back for this service.

Went in for acrylic nails with my roommate. Mine fell off within a week and she got a painful infection. I went back another day for a manicure (not my first choice but close to my house) and the woman was unfriendly, cut my finger during the manicure, and demanded I pay her immediately after she cut my finger, clearly to make sure I wouldn’t complain. In addition, my cuticles got an infection. NEVER AGAIN.

I have never written up a poor review on Unilocal,but I felt I had to. I had a mani/​pedi here a few weeks ago, and, while the staff was very, very nice and they did a nice job, I was nicked on the toe during my pedicure — a cut which quickly became infected and in need of antibiotics to cure. I hate to write a poor review, but I think in this case it is necessary as these kinds of infections can be dangerous.

Did not even attempt to push back cuticles, too fast and sloppy job

In from out of town, and a local recommended Cali as a the place to go for my much needed pedicure. Staff was über pleasant, accommodating, and my pedicurist, Holly was did a really good job scrubbing and polishing my feet. (the hot towel over massaged legs was a big plus!) overall, pedi was really good, but not the best I’ve ever had. Definitely served it’s purpose though.

I love this salon. I’ve gone to Helen and for years and I wouldn’t go anywhere else. Her manicures, acrylics and pedicures are the best. But the good news is that even when she wasn’t available and I had to use someone else, like Hannah or Holly — they were great too! The new salon is gorgeous and feels very luxurious and comfortable.

I didn’t really know where to go for a pedicure, so I just chose this place due to convenience. I just had a basic pedicure, which was only $ 25. The woman who did mine was nice but she didn’t really seem to care about doing it well. I feel like I could have done just as good of a job myself. The massage wasn’t anything special either. I don’t feel too bad about my choice considering it wasn’t expensive, but I guess I got what I paid for. Mediocre.
