Had dinner for my mom’s birthday there with my two kids(ages 2 and 6) and the waiter was a doll and accommodated our every need. Totally a professional. The food was good — definitely exceeded my expectations. We will be back!

My plate was a crime scene. My amateur sleuth’s eye noted three different thumb prints, nicely highlighted in whatever sauce dressed the fish. I paid and left without disturbing the evidence. That was 2007, the last time I ate at Bonefish. Ah, 2007, when spec-buying Lakewood Ranch condos was a sure-fire road to success and Bernie Madoff watered his money tree. Good times. With the vision of that murdered dinner in mind, I avoided this place until recently. Matters have improved somewhat. Our group of six ordered and ate four fish species cooked in three styles, four different sides and three desserts, along with cocktails and wine. The entrees and sides were competently prepared, and, I am relieved to say, didn’t require known criminal print matching. So far so good. Other elements were more pedestrian. My unshakeable luck of attracting wait staff determined to make themselves the headline act continued. Ten years of being a waiter is not necessarily ten years of cultivating serving skill; it’s one night of stories retold 2,000 times. And that’s just the start. Since when do servers verbalize and refer to seated customers by their reference number? Yes, we understand that each dining position has a number, but shhhhhhhhh… it’s meant to stay inside your head, Bobby. We can hear you. That’s me, #3 talking. This kind of treatment is dispiriting and represents all the reasons I dislike chains. The pre-prepared desserts were ho-hum. A below-standard crème brûlée came complete with an hours-old, chilled caramel topping. This stage should be done immediately prior to serving to ensure the signature«snap» from that first spoon tap and can be verified by the residual warmth. A first round of drinks came promptly, and a second only after multiple attempts, and even then with one missing. Runners looked blankly when asked where John… I mean #6s salmon was. Etc. It’s Bonefish. You know what you’re in for. Go; you’ll love it. Srsly.

Good chain seafood restaurant but I cannot help but sense an artificial quality in their food from taste to concept. While some of the dishes have bold flavors, almost over-seasoned, other items are just mediocre — like their caesar salad. It is just blah. In the end, the restaurant is good, not great.

Hit them up for a late dinner. Place was still packed to the brim, but it was a Saturday! The wait time for a table was 30 to 45 min, but we lucked out and snagged two bar top seats. The bar is first come, first serve. Downer was definitely the tight squeeze of all the smashed together bar stools. Better like your neighbor. We opted for apps and dessert since we weren’t starving after a day of snacking around the city. We did edamame and bang bang chicken(p.s. you can totally swap the shrimp to chicken on this popular dish). Everything was good. High five on the red sangria which had black berries and raspberries! The donut dessert is a must try. You get mini«injector» bottles with your choice of sauce. We did both chocolate and caramel. You use the injector to fill your donuts with the sauce, dip then in the homemade whip cream and enjoy! Overall: A Give bang bang chicken a try, order donuts, and get a red sangria. Boom. Night made.

Service was fabulous. Made me feel very important. Bang bang shrimp and Ahi tuna appetizers were delicious as was my Mahi Mahi oscar. Perhaps the best MahiMahi I have ever had out(mine at home is still better.) Was VERY noisy. My hearing aids could not filter out racket of noisy restaurant. Would have been 5 stars otherwise.

For a chain, we were extremely impressed. We sat at the bar and had a cocktail to start, which were really good and well priced. We then had the garlic shrimp appetizer which was to die for because we love dipping bread in sauce. I know a lot of people go for the bang bang shrimp, but I think it’s a little overrated for my taste. I suggest ordering the shrimp in the garlic tomato sauce. My husband had the Cobia and I had the seabass fir dinner. The au gratin potatoes were my favorite. The Seabass was a little overdone for my liking, or else I would’ve given exactly 5 stars. Service was good, and overall a great experience.

We were thrilled to find out that Bonefish was offering lunch but this experience proved disapppinting. The hostess was disinterested and our friends , who arrived early, found her rude. The waitress ranged from curt to rude. When we asked about menu choices she told us to «read the menu». These attitudes will surely result in lunchtime failure. Staff is in dire need of some serious customer service training. Nice you are opening for lunch but… why bother?

The Pro’s: Very good value for very fresh fish, friendly service, happy hour every day, but no reduced prices on bar food except Wednesday when the bang-bang shrimp are $ 6.00 until 6:30PM. The Con’s: Too loud background music with a very energetic beat with loud bass which makes one’s brain vibrate. The average age of the clientele during happy hour which ends at 6:30PM is over 70; and when the clock strikes 6:30PM the cash register automatically shuts off happy hour prices and the Geritol crowd departs.

I had the large Atlantic Salmon. When it came, the portion size was small so I said something. They brought another salmon along with the sides! So I had lunch for the next day. I’ve eaten at Bonefish many times and they never disappoint me!

Haven’t been to this Bonefish for a couple of years. Came in for happy hour. Let’s define a Bonefish happy hour… $ 5.00 drafts No happy hour food menu. Bartender recommended a $ 36.00 «special» I hate chains. I especially hate this tourist trap for the 80 plus crowd. Never again.

Today, we had excellent service and enjoyed the Bang Bang Shrimp special($ 6). This chain restaurant location is typically busy. Parking can be a challenge. The bar is always busy but not too noisy.

Definitely worth going if you’re looking for seafood. The ahi-tuna appetizer is very good and worth getting. I have always ordered the mussels and used the bread to dip in the sauce that the mussels are in, but lately the sauce has been of less quantity and quality. Still good though.

The service was amazing I loved our waitress!!! Served near the bar and she had brown hair with glasses. But the bang bang shrimp was the worst I have ever had before! And my martini only has half a rim.

This is a quality chain restaurant providing very good valued meals and drinks. Service is generally pleasant and food is properly flavored. I’ve enjoyed this location on numerous times and tonight was no exception. We were served by Vanessa, who has style, smiles, and personality to spare. What a delight she was, and really made our night positive. The dally specials are a great way to go as the price includes a salad and dessert(easily shared). Happy hour drinks are half off. Tonight’s mains were Oscar Turbot($ 27 fixe price) and Artic Char, $ 19; both delicious. We look forward to returning to this great standby.

Crowded on the Wednesday night of easter week. Despite being told a 20 minute wait for a booth, we were seated in less than 5 minutes in one of the 4 open visible booths! When will restaurant owners tell their hostesses that live people should be given more attention than a computer screen? Two ladies at the desk were more focused on their screen than greeting us. Luckily after we were seated, Matt was our server and took great care of us! We were there early enough for happy hour cocktails that did not disappoint! I chose the price fix special of shrimp and scallops hotpot that was great! Side Caesar was not overdressed, entrée was great and the mini-doughnut/beignet dessert was a great finish to the meal. My dining companion had fish and liked her meal as well. My first visit to a Bonefish, can see it would be busy in season, but there was a great bar area to wait. Check it out!

The bang bang shrimp tacos are always to die for. So delicious. Our waiter was very flustered. It seemed like he was having a hard time keeping up with multiple tables at 6pm. Maybe he was new.

Back again with friends who had not tried Bonefish yet! So nice to take people out knowing the service, food and ambiance will be right on target. So many more menu options than in the past plus lots of specials. We really had a hard time choosing which of the many offerings for our dinner. Cocktails were fabulous– winter Cosmo was beautiful and tasty. Lemon drop martini perfectly prepared. Great wait staff and buzzing atmosphere.
