Great store, could’ve spent hours here. There are two armchairs for browsing books you might be interested in. The man working at the counter used to own another bookstore on Main St and was very knowledgable and very helpful. Lots of diverse books, moderately priced. The older and rarer books are more expensive, $ 40 – 60. Most are under $ 20.

This is one of the best used and antiquarian bookstores I’ve come across in some time. First editions by many major modern authors, such as Gaddis, Coover, Pynchon, Gardner, and Roth, a great selection of contemporary authors, science fiction, cinema, art, history… a lot of everything. In the back, in a separate area was A. Parker’s Books, with an even more outstanding collection. I found first editions of Harry Crews’ «Karate is a Thing of the Spirit» and Vonnegut’s «God Bless You, Mr. Rosewater.» I couldn’t afford them, but it was fun to hold them…

This place has my name all over it… it’s an amazing used bookstore, especially well-stocked in fiction and art books, it seems. It’s impeccably organized by subject/author, clean, and many books are protected in mylar covers. The selection is quite large, and I can’t wait to return next time I’m in Sarasota!

— Gem of a bookstore featuring rare and used books: Leather Bindings, Sets, Natural History, Literature, Cookbooks, Travel, History, Art, Antiques and Collectibles. — The proprietress is very friendly and helpful — I could spend the day in here and they have some hidden leather chairs that may be for this purpose
