Recently we had the unexpected pleasure of dining at Table 64. On our getaway to Lake Toxaway, we were caught off guard to find that a favorite restaurant that we expected to dine at, had unexpectedly closed for the season(their website gave no mention of this and even listed days /hours of operation-Osteria del Monte). Frantically we searched for a nice place to eat. Checking Unilocal,I saw that Table 64 had 4 ½ stars. Rather than wasting time looking at menu, hours etc, I called. They were open and serving dinner! I told the Ashley(our waitress that night and the one that answered the phone) our problem and she gave us directions and off we went. What a find! Everything was wonderful. Nice cozy place with a guitarist quietly playing and superb food. The service by Ashley was top notch. Being unfamiliar with tapas dining, she guided us through our selections and made recommendations as to the order of our dishes. We can’t say enough about this restaurant. We so enjoyed our experience, that we returned the following night! Terrific experience again! Our only regret about Table 64 is that it’s not closer to our home!

This place was fantastic. I love tapas anyway, but everything we tried was seriously delicious. The blue gnocchi was my fav — comfort food at its best. The staff was very busy and a little snooty. We had several waiters bring out our food and drinks, so we were not sure exactly which one was our waiter. All seemed to be in a bad mood and really didn’t want to take the time to answer any questions, etc. Whatever, the food was great and after a glass of wine, it didn’t matter how rude they were.

I’ve here twice in the last six weeks, most recently on Thursday evening. Both times the food was amazing and the waiters are adorable. The first visit was a better, more relaxed experience because they weren’t slammed,(which they were on our most recent visit). If we had had the same experience the most recent time we were there as we did visit #1, I would be wishing for a ‘half’ star to make my rating 4.5. Perhaps they will eventually begin taking reservations so that they can better space their diners? It’s a tapas place, which I love because you get more to taste. The portions were adequate, and everything we’ve tried was great. Most notable were: The gnocchi(oh-my-goodness-the gnocchi!), hill-billy rolls, stuffed avocado, heirloom tomato caprese, and filet. N.B.: Thursday nights, any bottle of wine forty dollars or greater is half off.

Table 64 was so good that it makes me want to take away a star from every place I’ve ever reviewed so that Table 64 is the only place I give 5 stars. Every bite was heavenly. The chef deserves a standing ovation his creativity and excellence. We wanted to go shake his hand. The staff was incredibly helpful and friendly. Our waitress was a pro, in every way. Here is what we ordered among 3 of us: Stuffed avocado Gnocchi w/Bleu Parmesan cauliflower bites Shrimp & corn beignets Veggie plate(flaky pastry filled with veggies and mozzarella… Ya.) Baguette roulade Special: filet stuffed with crab cake and topped with a fried egg, sprinkled Siracusa sauce Though we loved every plate, the gnocchi topped the charts for all 3 of us. On Wednesday they give 25% off of food items so the price was great too. We will be back, no question about it.

Great date night location with a wide variety of tapa items on the menu. Staff is friendly and knowledgable. Recommend the stuffed calamari. The scallops were large and very tasteful. Not a wide selection of wines but have a good selection to choose from.

What a wonderful surprise this was on our mountain vacation! As a couple of foodies, my husband and I weren’t sure if we’d find the kind of meal we were hoping for without venturing into Cashiers or Highlands. We happened to notice the«Now Open» sign(Table 64 just opened May 16) while driving down Hwy 64 one afternoon and, after drooling over the online menu, decided to give it a try. How happy we are that we did! First off, the service was pleasant and genuine and the clientele seemed to be a mix of locals and tourists alike. The interior is elegant without stuffiness and updated with a sense of mountain rustic. The wine list was simple, but diverse enough that we could select and enjoy a New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc that is one of our favorites. Now, for the food! Having already looked over the menu, we were ready with our top 4 tapas after receiving our drinks. We started off with the Tzatziki Cups, 2-Hour Caprese, the Wagyu Sirloin and the Pear and Prosciutto tapas dish. We later added to the order with the Deconstructed French Onion Soup(yes, we ordered too much food!). The staff brought out the tapas in no particular order, just as they came available in the kitchen — our preferred method for enjoying tapas so that we’re not bombarded with 4 plates at the same time. The Tzatziki Cups and the Caprese were probably our mutual favorites — both dishes had a nice blend of flavors that were well-balanced and allowed us to experience each element of the dishes. Dessert was nothing to get too excited about, but we were so full by that point, we could have been on flavor overload by then. Coffee was freshly pressed and a wonderful way to wrap up a wonderful evening in sweet little Sapphire, NC! Our fingers are crossed that this place makes it so we can come back again on our vacation next year!
