My bf brought me home some dumplings and they were scrumptious! I tried the pork and cabbage one, soo soft and delicate and juicy. Can’t wait to try more dumplings! Also, I cooked them right away, so delicious, I ate them all!!!

I’ve seen this place a thousand times and finally decided to go check it out and I’m so glad I did. There’s 3 things I love in Shanghainese dim sum, that’s potstickers, dumplings and green onion pancakes. Since I’ve never been here before, I only grabbed the potstickers and they were devine. They reminded me of a well made dumpling with broth inside(that’s a first). I will be back to try other things. Update on previos postings from other Unilocalers: they now accept credit cards!!!

Came to visit the sister at SFSU and found this little gem of a place on Irving! Cannot rave about the dumplings and pot stickers enough! Got the pork & spinach dumplings and pork pot stickers which were both delicious! You can definitely taste the quality in these handmade items. Wish the shop sold sauces to accompany them but I was able to buy a few Asian sauces at one of the many stores down the street. Too bad we don’t have a place like this in L.A., but I will definitely be coming back to Yummy Dumplings every time I’m in town!

This place caught my eye when walking by to order Phở… Couldn’t stop thinking about it my entire meal. It is a great concept with a delicious product. We ordered Chicken and chive and Chicken and corn. The chicken and corn was fantastic. Took the liberty of finding a peanut sauce recipe for fun and boy was that a great mixture with these dumplings! Service was easy and friendly and the dumplings weren’t too expensive. I will absolutely be back!

Really glad I finally explored this local mom-and-pop style dumpling shop. I’ve noticed it in the neighborhood for a couple years and finally decided to pop in. So glad I did! A great selection of frozen dumplings, and some fresh cooked options as well, including their delicious pork buns. You can watch the dumplings being made fresh by the authentic old ladies, so you know that, while frozen, they are made on-site by skilled hands. This is not your average bag of frozen dumplings from the supermarket via some factory lord knows where. These have not been sitting in a freezer for ages either — no transport time for these babies. One look and you realize these are very fresh. The guy up-front was super friendly and answered all our questions. The pork buns and dumplings were great. We will be back soon.

My wife and I live and work in SF. One day exhausted after work but wanting a tasty dinner we decided on Chinese Buns. We picked up FRESH made dumplings/buns(they have frozen ones) two bags(12 total) = $ 8!!! AWESOME! + $ 10 bottle of wine = $ 20! Bang On in SF. The buns(HaHa!) are great and 30 seconds in the microwave even better. I would recommend anyone in SF(or elsewhere) pick up some buns and have a great dinner. Cheers!

YUM! These were so yummy: 1) pork with chive dumplings 2) pork with corn dumplings and 3) potstickers. I boiled them for five minutes and then pan fried them for texture. When I bit into my first dumpling, sauce sprayed all over the table! The pork with corn dumplings are really juicy. I was pleasantly surprised that the chives and corn were both still crunchy inside, not mushy. All in all, exactly what I was looking for.

I’m glad I’ve found yet another location to satisfy my love of dumplings/potstickers. We tried two varieties: The pork/chive/shrimp dumpling is basically the«standard» that my family always orders at restaurants. $ 7.50 for 20 dumplings is basically double the amount of dumplings you can get at a restaurant for the same price. However, I felt the the flavor was just a bit underwhelming and the shrimp just a bit scant. Chives should be wonderfully fragrant but these just weren’t.(3⁄5) The second variety we tried were the chicken and corn dumplings, also $ 7.50 for 20. These were delicious in my opinion. The corn was still crisp after boiling adding not only a very satisfying burst of flavor but also that nice sweetness.(4⁄5) The potstickers were really juicy. We pan-fried them up a couple days after purchase and though the skin was a bit thick, they were really good. Not a lot of variety but it’s cheap, filling, and pretty decent. I can’t complain!

Yummy(but somewhat pricey) dumplings. The potstickers ain’t bad either. The key is cooking them properly — I’ve found that the fresh dumplings are great after a 7 minute boil and frozen after about 9. If they stay in for too long, the skins will get bloated and you’ll get sad because then you have to eat really doughy dumplings.

Discovered Yummy Dumpling thanks to a Hoodline write up, and visited the very next day. The small store sells freshly made but frozen dumplings, wontons and buns in bulk. We saw new ones being made also. About a menu page-worth of dumplings with various fillings are available. We chose to buy a bag of twelve pork wontons, and also a bag of twelve pork and dill dumplings; using a credit card to purchase – they do take credit cards, contrary to what one or another Unilocaler complained of. The dumplings were tasty. I was gratified that the presence of dill came through. The wontons were exceptional. The skin wasn’t rubbery, and each had a good quantity of pork inside. They made a terrific wonton soup.

Tiny little dumpling shop that sells frozen wontons and dumplings. I bought one package of pork and shrimp wontons(20 for $ 4.80) and a package of pork and chive dumplings(20 for $ 7). The wontons didn’t have much filling, but the dumplings were really tasty. Too bad they are more expensive. Will be back to try some of the other flavors.

Made two trips here. The first time I went, I learned that it was cash only, so I only bought one bag, the pork and chives. It was delicious, but according to my husband, it stank up our freezer. On my second trip, I decided to try a different flavor in hope that it won’t stink up our freezer. I picked up the lamb & cabbage and pork and cabbage. I asked if I can pay by credit card for buying two bags, and she said yes, but not before trying to throw in another bag to my order. She made it seem like she was going to give me an extra bag at no cost but I knew better than to fall for that trick. Also, when I received my receipt, there was a huge section for adding tip. I thought that was cray cray. They’re a take away dumpling place. TAKEAWAY. So, I’m giving them three stars.

I’ve walked by this store hundreds of times living so close to it. Every time I see a couple young women rolling dumplings together, but never knew if it was a restaurant or not because their building is so unassuming. So finally I went in Unilocal and saw some promising reviews and finally gave it a try for the first time last night. Had the pork and shrimp dumplings with green chives. You get 20 dumplings for $ 7.50. Not only is the food cheap and delicious, the dumplings swell up when you cook them and you’re full on half of a bag! Was so good, went back tonight! Definitely go and support this local business :-)

Went in today and got a bag of potstickers and a bag of pork and cabbage dumplings. Cooked em up tonight for dinner and it was enough food for my gf and I to be moderately full. Let me just say, the dumplings were definitely pretty good. and then the potstickers were straight FIRE. I’ll be back to stock up for sure.

These are the same dumplings that they sell at King of Noodle, Kingdom of Dumpling, etc. I am so happy that there is a dumpling shop close by. I come in here a few times a month and purchase ALLTHEDUMPLINGS! I’ve tried probably everything they sell here except for the wontons. My favorites are the potstickers, pork and napa, pork and chives, chicken and corn(though I prefer pork and corn) and the vegetarian dumplings. The pork and shrimp dumplings are only OK. I noticed that they upgraded their POS system when I was here the other day. These ladies are now using square so you can pay with cc if you wish!

Not sure why folks are giving low scores to this place if they haven’t tried the food??? Just because it’s takeaway they give it low scores… how about go to an eat in, try the food, then write the review. Idiots. Love this place, dumplings are great and easy too cook. And sometimes at 3pm we come in for just the steam buns that are made fresh daily. These ladies work hard and it shows in the food.

We looove king of noodle, and we had tried their dumplings in the resto, so I decided to buy a bunch of dumplings to take down to the south bay to see family. I think I got like 10 bags, which were polished off quickly, with demands for more. The ladies here are just sitting around making dumplings all day, and they’re super friendly. There’s a good selection of them, and I think everything we got was solid. Just make sure you cook them right! It’s not the cheapest dumplings you can buy, obviously. Probably double the price of a Chinese supermarket… but you pay for quality! And to support the nice kings and queens of noodle in the sunset. Cash only… There’s an ATM in the chevron next door ;) PS! If you’re dining at king of noodle the guy says he’ll just run across the street and get you your frozen dumplings I think… and then presumably you can pay with credit.

Homemade Fresh dumplings and wontons! They literally are making them right in front of you as you walk in. Amazing place to come buy theme and then go home and cook.

Hands down one of my fav places to get dumplings. If you COOKTHEMCORRECTLY at home(I’m skeptical as to how some of the reviewers who gave bad reviews cooked them) they are truly excellent. I bought the pork with napa cabbage ones to try and they were delicious. Al dente skin, not too thick at all. Small pocket of broth that is not too salty, not oily. Meat/veggie ratio is great, not too meaty and I still get the cabbage crunch. A little bit of ginger to heighten the flavors. There is always going to be a tiny bit of oil if you want authentic Chinese/Beijing dumplings. It’s what makes the meat inside flavorful, to its fullest potential. Frozen doesn’t mean it’s not fresh. They hand-make everything and once its made, they immediately freeze it, thus the freshness stays. Obviously the most perfect would be eating them as they make and cook them, but this is not the place for that. The only thing I wish they had on their menu was handmade noodles. I’ve been looking all over the place for fresh handmade Chinese noodles with no luck. That said, I’m looking forward to trying their buns and other dumplings!

Sunset is really turning into dumpling central. Popped in, curious as to whether this was sit down or take away only, and was put off by the flies circling around, especially for such a new spot(yes, took over what was previously a café). Unfortunately, I can’t tell you how yummy the dumplings really were. Service from the lone lady in the place was nice enough, but, alas, because the shop was take out only — simply not what we were looking for, we continued on our merry way. Although I have to say that even if this were sit down, I think the flies would still have had us walk right out.
