I like to eat at home… So it was eaten by delivery… I could eat without having to wait for so long. Honestly… I do not know… Others think… My thoughts are… I don’t begrudge giving star for this store. [ Names and natures do often agree. ] Literally… Everything very good… I love this food… Good luck! And Thank U.

I love that this place delivers. Cheap, but pretty good. Definitely not a 5-star sushi restaurant, but the quality of the food is good.

Inexpensive and they deliver. Our Hamachi Kama was over salted and my udon had more of a Chinese taste than Japanese flavors. Our sashimi was fresh.

NEVERAGAIN. I frequently ordered delivery from this restaurant, and it’s always the same shuck and jive. Promise to deliver within one hour, and then it’s 1.5 hours, and then — after calling them to find out where the hell my food is, I get the SAME excuse from Yan every time. «The driver is stuck in traffic.» For an hour? Every time? Nope. There are too many good restaurants in this city to even spend another cent at this shifty establishment.

Placed order via the Grubhub app… ordered happy sushi and 1 yama bento box(teriyaki salmon, mixed tempura and some shredded beef thing). Food took an hour and a half. Bento box food was cold.. sushi looked disgusting. Small fly in my California roll. Complete waste of money. Never again.. Should of stuck to Sushi Raw.

For the price, this is a stand-up place! I’m thinking some of the low stars are because people are expecting 5-star sushi at a 1-start price. Well, this isn’t Ryoko. For what I paid, I still have lots to spare for shopping at CVS :) The other things that I like: –they serve their miso in little paper cups for take-out instead of plastic so not ingesting all sorts of BBPs ! –some good veggie options for non-meat eaters. I had a dish with pumpkin(!) and some other cool root veggies(is that Burdock?). Anyway, I’m sure it going to make me live three years longer –It is a convenient neighborhood restaurant, I can walk to Hoping to see what happens. If I were Yama, I would offer fewer choices and get really good at a few things. Don’t let these reviews get you down — you rock!

Ordered from them today via eat24. Delivery was SO fast(less than 20 mins)! The food was not exceptional but still pretty good and decently priced. Miso soup: pretty standard but tiny portion Green spheres: props for creativity. Lots of avocado… wish the fish was a bit colder CA hand roll: standard Spicy tuna roll: again, fish was kinda warm A+ for quick delivery, no delivery free, and low minimum!

They were almost an hour late delivering my order. They arrived 25 minutes after I called Eat24. All the food was ok, but then after I digested the sushi I got sick(food poisoning). The delivery guy called before even knocking and made me come outside. Like another reviewer, I am also upset with myself for adding a tip onto this order pre-delivery.

I ordered food today from Yama Sushi, which I order from and physically go to, a lot –as you can see from my check-ins. I gave this place another try solely because of this adorable old delivery man and the family that runs this restaurant. As common courtesy, before the delivery came, I put my dogs downstairs. They were barking when the delivery man was near my house as all dogs do. The delivery man was refusing to come up my stairs to bring me the food I ordered and kept telling me to come outside of my house and down the stairs. I kept telling him I put my dogs downstairs and they wouldn’t be going outside(I figured most delivery people are scared of my pitbulls). He kept telling me that I had to come outside and I refused. He finally came up the steps are giving me attitude and when I signed the signature piece he said«I only deliver to human beings.» What’s it that supposed to mean? Am I not a human being? I’m not even hungry anymore. I don’t want this food anymore. I called the establishment and all the manager said was that they won’t send me that particular driver ever again. So much for customer satisfaction. Guess my order was a wasted of $ 25 dollars, as I threw it out. I am also upset with myself for adding a tip onto this order pre-delivery.

Great local spot. I love the #71(Cali roll w/baked scallops on top) and #79(deep fried tuna roll w/cream cheese) — I don’t remember the names, sorry :/Tempura app is also delicious. Service is always quick and friendly., and everyone working there is super sweet! Ok, I did find a hair in my salad once… and now seeing other similar reviews, I had to speak up, too. «Luckily» it was at the bottom of the bowl, so I got to enjoy most of my salad ;) Good soup, quick delivery, just keep an eye out for strays.

First timer at this place, got it delivered to me very quickly which is nice since I live 3 miles away from it. I had a coupon that said that I had a free crunchy roll for a purchase of $ 25 or more(which I did), but didnt get any crunchy roll when it was delivered to me & I noticed this happened to a few Unilocalers already. Everything was still hot when it came to me, except for the brown rice. The rice was very hard and stuck together and wasn’t as hot.(Thank god I ordered extra white rice though). Everything was fairly good, the guy that delivered it was very nice. But a good tip is to order on the phone instead(I really suggest it) than ordering it from GrubHub & and then ask them if they have any coupons for anything.

I’m sorry to say that what used to be my favorite go to sushi spot will not be any longer. I used to order from here on a weekly basis but then took a little break from Yama. I came back today and it was not up to par with what I used to think it was. My water cup smelled like wet dog and I saw one of the servers not cover her mouth while coughing as she was scooping a bowl of miso soup. My boyfriend and I ordered our usual, California roll, Alaska roll, NY roll, and a bento box. The salmon inside of my Alaska roll looked like it was graying and was definitely not fresh. Everything else was just not good. Maybe we’ll take another break from Yama sushi and come back to try another time. Until then, we’ll stick to Sushi Raw on Taraval.

They are no local sushi spot. The rainbow roll is «Oh» so.good. The seating is alright. Nothing bigger than a group of 4 if eating here. They have a 90s dated TV up in the corner of the left wall. The bathroom is nice. I always call in b my orders for pickup. I usually go here around lunch time. The katsu here is good as well. Get the bento box. That’s a good time.

Lol @ all the positive reviews for this place. I don’t think this place should even exist anymore. I’ve always gotten my sushi delivered because driving by the place and seeing the lack of people gets me a little unsettled so sometimes I rather not remember that part when I order. I live over the hill(literally 2 minute drive from the place) so I don’t expect the food to turn bad by the time it gets to my house. The miso soup was still boiling hot when I tried it so why can’t the sushi be of same quality? I just came back from a trip and wasn’t in the mood to cook. Since I live in a neighborhood where there aren’t many restaurants around to deliver in the first place, I was already limited in my options. I was feeling some sushi so i thought I’d just try Yama again since last time wasn’t so bad. Wrong. The order was on time(how can you mess that up, I ordered before they even opened) and the driver was friendly. As soon as I opened up the sushi, I could already tell this wasn’t going to go well. The artificial crab was nearly gray. I was straining my eyes to try to find the red specks as part of the crab but the whole thing looked bland. That was already a red flag. I took the first bite and it was hard to swallow. The rice was not soft, it was 2-day old rice at least. Very dry and stale. So California Roll was already a bust. I also ordered the Peacock Roll but that didn’t go well either. The fish was so not fresh or even satisfyingly edible so I gave up. I wanted to finish my miso soup but once it cooled down that didn’t taste as good either. Yama lost another customer today. Why buy cheap seafood when you lose money from your customers anyway? Up your sushi game, Yama or you probably won’t stick around for much longer. OH& shoutout to Eat24 for refunding my whole order without any hassle. At least I know if I order through them, my money isn’t completely lost if things go awry.

It’s Sunday night. 11PM and I haven’t eaten dinner because of Yama screwing up me and my dads dinner plans. I would usually already be asleep by now because I have to be up early for work. So at this point I am beyond HANGRY and annoyed. We ordered around 8PM. An hour and a half rolls by and our food still has not arrived. Our food finally gets here and we opened the boxes and noticed that the two bento boxes we ordered are completely wrong! It wasn’t even close to what we had originally ordered. We called them and they agreed to have our orders fix and re delivered in about 30 minutes. It’s already an hour and a half and no one has showed up. Way to screw your customers over. Never ordering food from here again! It’s sad because their food isn’t bad. But DONOTTELLMEYOUREGOINGTODELIVERMEMYCORRECTORDERANDNEVERSHOWUP! That’s just rude! *AVOIDATALLCOSTS!* –_–

We had this catered at work for lunch today. I made the mistake of having some salad with my first serving. Well, I wouldn’t say it was a mistake since it was decent. But the nigiri was my favorite. I also got to try the various vegetable rolls which were crisp and fresh. Everyone was addicted to the baked rolls, but I was more in love with the nigiri sushi. We also had chicken with teriyaki sauce on the side. I’m kind of hoping there are leftovers somewhere in one of the refrigerators tomorrow so that I can eat them tomorrow morning! Didn’t try the rice in the tray but that’s just filler! I don’t know that I’ll go out of my way to come back on my own. But this was better than the last place that we had sushi catered from!

So good! We had this catered to my office for lunch the other day and it was really good and fresh. I was surprise because usually catered sushi isn’t that fresh, but it was. We also had a lot of roll choices, including spicy tuna, california rolls, eel, and veggie rolls. I had a bunch of sushi at 12:00, and then a few more rolls at 4:00, and they were still fresh and delicious at 4:00. I would definitely recommend this place if you want to order a lot of sushi.

Its weird here… Came for the«Happy Hour» they advertise it from 1 – 5. Tables sticky Server was eating a couple tables next to me ??? Menu is not appetizing I ordered Potstickers and dumplings(steamed) and a beer. Potstickers fine, but dumpling are like the ones u get at Traders, like tiny & weird. Ok but the weirdest part is the server looking over at me waiting to see when I was ready while eating her noodles … Ewwwe, yucky Sorry neighborhood joint.

I know this neighborhood badly needs a sushi restaurant … but, where do I start?! Despite being Chinese owned, I thought the happy hour box priced at $ 6.95 is a good bargain(only from 1 to 5pm!). The sushi?! SKIPIT. Poorly cut fish, looks unappetizing and served warm! WTH?! The sushi makers don’t wear hairnets and our server had waist length hair which wasn’t tied back(she served my miso soup and her hair was grazing the serving tray! ewww) Granted she was really nice, I’ll throw in an extra star but if I ever eat here again … Oh wait. I won’t.
