This store is awful, point blank. I went in on Friday after work to pay my bill(I had to cancel my ATM at my bank due to fraud that morning so I simply wanted to pay my bill in cash in an actual store since I didn’t know when my new ATM card would come). The guy manning the first counter, Ivan, was rather rude the entire time, never actually looked me in the eye and for some reason had to enter my information in three different registers which took 15 minnutes before he could bring up my account(he claimed that there was no history of me at that store but I bought the phone I have now at that store less than two years ago…). The entire time three guys sat/stood around a counter in the back of the store speaking to each other(clearly two of them were friends of the guy who was actually supposed to be working there and they were just standing there chatting) and when the guy who was supposed to be helping me went to use that register that employee kept sitting there and the guy helping me had to lean over him to use the keyboard. I work retail, I know customer service is an important part of what you do and I didn’t get any here so I walked out and took my business to another Sprint store who had me in and out in less than 5 minutes. I haven’t ever had any problems with my Sprint service but I will never go back to this store for my upgrade or to purchase a new phone.

This store has had many problems with customer service in the past. This is not the fault of Rudi, the manager, but it is the fault of the culture of high pressure sales strategies, and Sprint, itself, which is endlessly dysfunctional. Nowhere do you see that more clearly than with with so-called 3rd party stores, which offer Sprint products but are not Sprint stores. The bottom line is a careful consumer will compare Sprint with its competitors, in terms of plans, products, and service.

I was walking down Mission and was practically accosted by a guy trying to hand me a flyer, so I did what comes naturally — I ran away. Then I realized he was blocking me from my destination, the Sprint Store. Then I realized he worked there. I tried to sneak past him, but he was all, «Do you have any questions?!» and waiving his flyer before I could even get through the door! I explained I’d be looking at phones and would let him know as soon as I needed help. Then he asked again. Then again. Then again. Please go away. Ok, I’m ready, please come back. You’re out of that phone?! Three stars for calling around until he found that phone at the 843 Mission store.
