Mark is amazing! He was so knowledgable about the wines and made sure everyone in the place was enjoying themselves!
This was the best part of our trip to San Francisco!

Mark greeted my friend and I as we entered the door. We had stopped for a wine tasting and wonderful flights are offered. Mark spent time with us and seemed to know the wines that each of us would enjoy. He added a little to the usual flight menu cuz he wanted us to try new things. The cost of the tastings are very reasonable and Mark make it worth every penny. He knows his wines! Definitely stop in while walking Jefferson Street.

I’ve been here twice… the first time was last year and it was amazing! Great service, with in depth explanations of the wine I was tasting, descriptions of the winery and it’s history, how to get there, food pairing ideas, etc.
I came back last week and it was completely different. My girlfriend and I got two different flights, and the worker just filled our glass, told us the name of the wine, and walked away. Every. Single. Time. There were other guests who were clearly visiting from abroad and willing to spend a lot of money at this place, but the same worker was disinterested and didn’t help them make selections or explain anything. Very disappointing visit this last time.

Mark the wine whisperer really knows his stuff. Thank you Mark! He sent me home with a bottle of Sol Rouge petite sirah, which is absolutely amazing. I recommend it to anyone with a palette for Sirah. He WILL let you know what you want before you even know. He is great at what he does. Kudos! I will see you next time I am up in the area.

Each wine was better than the next and your knowledge of the varietals and how they map to each guest’s palate was uncanny. Mark is phenomenal he is #markthewinewhisper awesome education for me as a novice wine enthusiast. I would 100% recommend locals and tourists to visit but plan to stay for a while do not rush the experience.

Mark is exceptional and #thewinewhisper! We stopped in right before closing and still he took the time to ensure we all had a wine that we had not tried. Mark was right on with the wine selection for everyone in our group and knowledgeable about each selection. Highly suggest you stop in!

Mark showed my coworkers and I a really good time. I was very impressed by his knowledge and ability to figure out which wines suited our pallet (s). I enjoyed the ambience, the cleanliness of the location and most of all Mark. #markthewinewhisperer — I highly recommend wine drinkers to check this place out. It is amazing! Way to go Mark! You make this business very unique and exquisite.

I didn’t have a chance to hit Napa during my stay, but it was great to get a taste of it! Mark was incredibly knowledgeable and personable. I came in for a taste and ended up spending more time than I thought!

Daemon is a excellent wine steward. He really knows his wines and made the tasting experience fun. I went home with a case of delicious hard to find wines!

We just happened to walk into this wine bar and tried all different types of wine. But right when walked in, Mark greeted us with a friendly smile and instantly knew what kind of wine I liked. He suggested that my boyfriend and I not do a sweet wine tasting that instead we just try this wine he suggested. The wine he had us try was one of the best moscato’s I’ve ever had… My boyfriend bought 2 bottles of that wine for us and a glitter champagne. Mark was an incredible and detail oriented wine connoisseur who knew his stuff about all types of wines. He knew what my exact palate was like and had me try wines that I never thought I would enjoy. My boyfriend and I have a dslr camera and right when he had us sample some wine he took pictures of our reactions because the wine was just that dang good. He really took time with us, we shared stories, we laughed and had a great time getting to know him… he told us where to eat and where to grab the best cup of coffee. I’m telling you request Mark and make your way into the winery collective… You won’t regret it. It is definitely one of my new favorite spots to go to when I com back to visit. Thank you Mark for your hospitality and sharing your knowledge about my new favorite wine.

$ 15 for the local flight which includes 5 tastings, all decent sized pours.
We tried 2 whites (sauv blanc and chardonnay) and 3 reds (zin, cab, and another one… i forget!). We were also given a bonus pour of petite syrah, which was delicious — ending up taking that bottle home.

I’ve been here twice the first time I bought a groupon and the value was phenomenal. Our pourer was amazing I wish I remembered his name. He educated us and the over all experience was tons of fun. The second time i went with a group of friends for my birthday that time was also fun but I felt like the bigger group didn’t lend well to personal interaction with the pourer. This place is beautiful I can’t wait to return.

We were a group of 14 with various ideas on how to taste wine. Mark S. was superb at guiding us through a delicious selection of wines and he was also dealing with walk ins at the same time. Can’t recommend Mark and the Winery Collective enough.

Great time here. The wines were very good. Very knowledgable. We didn’t have to spend a whole day in wine country to enjoy good wines.

Native San Franciscan, but I moved away 14 years ago. Back here to visit family and found this place. The service was amazing and super friendly. Our server Nicola was very knowledgeable, warm and welcoming. The window selection was great and the ambiance was very casual and easy going.

I didn’t actually drink anything, but my family did. The gentleman was nice and knowledgeable. They seemed to have a pretty good selection of all California wines only.

I came here with my roomie and bf on Saturday. This was our 2^nd time here and I enjoyed it just as much as the first time we went!
Right as we sat down, Daemon greeted us with our first pour of the people’s blend-​which we will get to later. Daemon and Kris were both super friendly, attentive and knowledgable (who knew Sauvignon Blanc meant Wild White?). A lot of times you will go to tastings and not really get an explanation of what to expect on your palette or even the history of the grapes, but Daemon and Kris did a great job of explaining all these facts and they made it fun and interesting.
We all got the $ 15 tastings, which included a Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Carbernet, and a blend. The people’s blend was our favorite wine– it was so delicious we ended up buying a bottle and we drank half there and half back at our apt. We also got the $ 1 pour of sparkling white, which I found equally amazing.

Came here Saturday with my gf we Both picked a flight I pick the cabinet and she pick the Pinot noir. Most of the wine here is from some winery in SF. The cabs where ok not worth 30 for the tasting more like 20. My gf really didn’t like her flights that whee 25 for the Pinot .But over all it was ok. The woman serving us was very friendly and was very informative. It’s ok for a one time thing.
