This is a go-to of ours. Fantastic food that isn’t too greasy. And super fast delivery.

I eat a lot of Chinese food, authentic or not. The first time I was here the food was not good — fried rice was undercooked and general Tsos was meh. I was pleasantly surprised the second time, though. I got beef chow fun and spicy garlic eggplant. Not only was the food ready within 15 minutes, but they also accommodated my request for less oil and sauce. It was MUCH better… could actually taste the spicy garlic! Will be back.

At 11:30 pm on Christmas, they delivered in like 20 minutes. The food was extremely fresh, vegetables crisp and great flavor. I didnt expect such quality and speed on a holiday. Great stuff!

For a Chinese takeout, they are great. Their lunch specials are ALLDAY, ANYDAY! It’s about $ 7.25 for any entrée and only a $ 1.50 for rice or chow mein. Their chow mein is the real kind — thick, moist noodles. Most Chinese takeout places I’ve been to in San Francisco so far tend to have thinner noodles, which I do not like. Kudos to this place! Also, their service is amazing. I noticed they treat everyone fairly and kindly — which I emphasize on, considering it’s very close to the Tenderloin. It’s a decent serving portion for one person, and considering the price, I’m not complaining! They’re also very flexible. Since I’m pretty much vegetarian, they made me an orange flavor tofu, instead of orange chicken. Loved it!

It’s my steady Chinese delivery go to for the past couple years. Needless to say, I’m a fan. I love getting dim sum that is still good by the time it’s delivered. They are always earlier than quoted and(knock on wood) I always get everything that I ordered.

Excellent and surprisingly affordable Chinese food. I had the chicken and veg lunch plate and there was a good array of veg and the meat and veg were cooked perfectly. Also noteworthy was the sauce which was right on for an oyster sauce base. It was actually pretty sophisticated. The devote is better than just take out but is hole in the wall so this is not a fancy date place. This is an eating place.

Delivery is free and they’ve always been on time, and it shows up still hot with a friendly delivery person. The servings are generous and the pricing is reasonable. This food isn’t going to be the best meal you’ve ever had but it’s good solid Chinese food — and last time I thought it was a bit bland but this time they included different sauces in our orders which helped. We tend to stick to the usual Chinese restaurant meals here(haven’t branched out into the menu too much) and they’re usually right on point. I’ve never eaten in but will continue to order take out from here!

My go-to delivery place. Has everything you want in a garden-variety american chinese place: cheap, tasty, plentiful, fast. I don’t think they’ve ever taken longer than 30 mins to deliver, so whenever I’m in need of delivery that has to arrive in this millennium, I order from these guys.

I’ve been ordering Chinese food delivery from one or another Tsing Tao location for over 10 years, and have always been pretty happy with the food. Sure, it’s nothing fancy, but it definitely gets the job done, and I’ve always really loved that they do each dish well, not to mention offer brown rice as an option. Why did I suddenly feel the need to offer a review? Well, I just received AWESOME service from this location! As a nice Jewish girl, I recently celebrated a very important date on the Jewish calendar: Chinese Food and a Move Day! That’s right, every December 25th, my mouth waters at the idea of «Kosher» pork chow mein and honey walnut shrimp… and this year was no different! Because I’m fairly anal-retentive and was planning to have a bunch of fellow celebrants over for the occasion, I decided to try and place an advance order through their online ordering. I selected for my order to arrive at 3:30 pm on Christmas Day. At 3:28 pm exactly, my phone rang from the callbox at the front of my building, and a delivery guy announced his arrival… Wow, talk about prompt!!! The delivery guy was super-polite, friendly, and went out of his way to thank me for the tip! Everything in my order was there, and still hot! There were ample napkins and chopsticks and sauces included, and everything was packed well so that nothing had spilled! Since everything smelled and looked so delicious, I couldn’t resist nibbling one of the fried crab pockets(their version of crab rangoon) before my guests arrived… DEEELISH!!! It should also be noted that the restaurant allowed me to order off-menu: Even though they do not include Shrimp With Lobster Sauce on their menu, I requested it via my online order. An employee called me to verify that I still wanted it, and confirmed that they’d happily make it… WIN!!! When it comes to Chinese food delivery, Tsing Tao cannot be beat! While I’ve definitely tried my share of other restaurants over the years, there’s a reason I continue to order from Tsing Tao after 10 years… They do what they do exceedingly well!!! I highly recommend this restaurant! Also, seriously? Try the crab pockets.

I love ordering for delivery at this restaurant my family always order for their soup. Especially the sizzling rice soup, amazing tasting. So good I would recommend it to anyone I know for Chinese!

Best Chinese food we have had in years. Looks to be a take-out place, but can seat small groups as well. Prompt service and clean surroundings. The food is amazing!

This is hands-down my favorite Chinese food take-out! We always order several menu items when we have guests over and we always over order because the portions are so big! The food also comes in these very nice plastic to-go containers and not the normal cardboard boxes. Granted I live in the same building as the restaurant, but am always still amazed how fast the delivery comes! They seem to use Eat24 for their delivery service and we always get it within 25 minutes of placing the order! As for the food itself, I am obsessed with the honey walnut shrimp! The perfect ratio of crunchy and sweet! And all the vegetable/noodle/garlic items are amazing! As an added bonus, they always slip a lil something extra into our orders-so be on the lookout for the egg rolls or extra crab rangoons :-) I think I’ll order something now!

I don’t understand why this place gets such bad reviews. Highly recommend the beef with string beans. Stay away from the chicken — funky smell.

I was put off a little bit by the 2.5 star average rating. I also had 2 of their brochures because they spam the neighborhood with their menus. I didn’t want to reward them for their advertising work but I was lazy and decided to order something. Decided on a safe dish: broccoli beef and chicken fried rice. Total was about $ 15 and I used my credit card over the phone. No more than 15 minutes pass and my door bell rings. WHOA! That was fast. The food was cooked properly and was piping hot. I had 2 platefuls with a little bit left over. I believe it was reasonable and it tasted good. It came with 2 fortune cookies and only 2 soy sauce packages. I think I would order here again.

We ordered delivery from Tsing Tao tonight via grubhub. The estimate was for an hour but I was super hungry and luckily the delivery guy(who was very polite and friendly) showed up about 45 minutes later. The eggrolls were really good. Next time I would ask for an extra sweet and sour sauce, the portion they provided was not really enough. The veggie mushu was also really tasty! I was impressed that they packaged the container inside a larger container so I didn’t have to worry about spills at all, and also the food arrived hot. The one disappointment was the vegetarian deluxe with tofu. I thought the sauce was pretty flavorless and its made with the silken tofu that doesn’t hold together well. I’m used to getting my tofu firm and lightly fried when I order something like this from other places. Prices are very reasonable for the quantity of food as well. They tucked a menu/coupons into my order, and that paper says $ 10 minimum for delivery, but grubhub says $ 15. Might be worthwhile to call to place your order if you don’t want to add a bunch of food you don’t need to meet the minimum.

Another good but basic Chinese place… This is a review of delivery from Tsing Tao. What’s to like? 1. General Tso’s chicken was pretty good. Chicken was tender yet crisp. The spice was pretty much right on. 2. Mongolian Beef was decent. The beef was very tender. 3. The steamed rice was cooked perfectly. 4. Upon delivery, the food was still very hot. 5. Low minimum for delivery($ 10). 6. Lunch main and rice specials less than $ 6. 7. Great portion too. 8. Easy to order via Grubhub 9. Delivery was prompt, professional, and poite 10. The packaging was very neat and good for storing leftovers. What’s not to like? 1. The Mongolian Beef could have used some more zip. Overall: This was basic but good Chinese food at a great cost with easy ordering and professional delivery. It will be on the repeat list. My fortune was: Measure your cloth ten times: you can cut it but once.

Something’s happened and it ain’t good. I ordered from them three times over the past few weeks and either they changed hands or have some new folks in the kitchen. The honey walnut prawns, formerly the best in the city, are no longer pan-seared and crispy. It’s a decent dish, but not what it once was. The sauteed beef and tomato dish arrived with a sticker still stuck to the tomato. It made me wonder what other short cuts they take? The dumplings were great though — I think they tossed them on the grill so they had a nice flavor. I wish, however, the dipping sauce came in a container, not a cheap-o packet. Tsing Tao is convenient but not as fast or as good as it once was. I’m looking for an alternative.
