Excellent venue with amazing balcony seating. We were able to sit on the balcony and have a great view of the band(At the Drive-In). The sound was good as well. The bathrooms get really, really crowded, so try and go during a band you aren’t interested in or something as they will have lines coming way out for both the men and woman during the wait right before the headliner. Overall it was a great venue and I look forward to coming back here in the future.

Had a fantastic experience at the Warfield for the At The Drive-In show. I made a huge, and totally stupid mistake and showed up with 3 friends to the wrong night(I purchased tickets for Saturday nights show but showed up on Friday.) After the initial freak out, we were able to talk to a very nice guy, who helped us out HUGE and worked it out so we could switch our tickets for Friday instead of Saturday. Once we got in, everything was great and the show was epic. Overall, the Warfield staff earned a Gold Star(or five red ones) from us that night. We will definitely be back.

Went in for the Hatsune Miku concert. Was next to the stage. Concert was great. The venue is nice and small which is perfect for shows like what we saw. Getting in and out was simple.

I love the Warfield – I’m always so happy to go to shows there. Sure the drink prices are crazy, but where in the city aren’t they. The staff is pleasant, the seats are relatively comfortable, and acoustics are great. We always have a good time at the Warfield!

No parking, unbelievably cramped and hot and crowded. No actual seating included with a $ 100 ticket. Stay the hell away. There are so much better options for concert venues, especially if you’re smart enough to stay out of SF.

Love the Warfield. So many great concert experiences. The venue is beautiful. Plenty of bars and drink options. They even had servers taking orders at a Slayer concert! Lines are huge for drinks so bring your patience and plenty of money. Bathroom lines for men always moves surprisingly fast. Parking is a challenge, but that is to be expected. All seats are good. Even the last row is pretty close compared to a stadium setup. Always look forward to shows at the Warfield.

My last time here was on 11÷7÷13 for Zoe — a not so well artist at least here in CA. Smaller intimate venues like this are well liked by me as they give opportunity for lesser known artists to do their thing. I went a bit early with a friend and had a chance just to take in all the atmosphere and history of this building. You look around and imagine all that went on within the space over the years. The venue offers outrageously priced drinks which is expected and it gets packed in the general admittance floor which is where I was and where all the fun is. The crowds come from all over the bay and people are generally friendly and well behaved — to expensive to get too drunk and the associated rowdiness that goes along with that. Its on Market St. so its convenient to Bart but awful to get an Über after the event ends. The people working there are quick to throw you out so they can clean up — pretty standard for places like this. They turn the lights on, yell at you and shine flashlights in your eyes. Minus two stars for rude workers, expensive beers and an unpleasant location on Market st.

Went back for a show where I had seats and it was honestly even better. There is bar service that will bring the drink to you, the seats are comfy, and there’s more room to dance. Can’t wait for the next show!

My review is on the venue itself, not the band. I purchased tickets in early December for my husband and I to go see Bullet for my Valentine. I purchased BALCONY seats, which were extra money so we didn’t have to stand the whole time and for me to be able to see the band preform. Well, unbeknownst to me the balcony section was CLOSED due to reconstruction, I was NEVER informed of this. I’m pretty sure they didn’t just decide to start reconstruction the day of the concert. I feel like I should have been given a heads up before hand or at least compensated with a table or something?! I paid a lot of money for these tickets and I am pissed that I had shitty general admission seats. Had to stand the whole time and could see jacksh*t because it was overcrowded with people down on the floor. I was thoroughly disappointed and will never come back to this venue again… EVER! Update: I contacted The Warfield by email and told them my situation and they contacted me back right away and solved the problem and refunded my money. I’m glad they stepped up to the plate and took action for their mistake. But next time I buy concert tickets here I’ll make sure I check ahead of time to make sure the balcony is open!

My least favorite venue for a concert. What puts me off the most is security. It is so disorganized. I mean you come here to enjoy to see whoever you want to see, but imagine that moment being ruined because their staff is in your face trying to get you to move somewhere. I get it, it’s for people’s safety, fire hazards and all that. If the staff organized where people can and cannot be throughout the night and not in the middle of the headliners performance, it would be safer for everyone and wouldn’t ruin anyone’s experience. They have so many people checking the doors but not enough staff inside controlling their boundaries. The setup of the floor and seats are weird. And the upstairs seating reminds of my old high schools auditorium. This venue needs some major upgrades.

This place blows. I came here in late 2014 with my girlfriend to see Russell Peters. They don’t allow outside food or drink, and we were getting thirsty. We tried to use the drinking fountains but they didn’t work. We asked the guy at the bar if we could get a glass of water for free and he said, «sorry, you’ll have to buy a bottle of water.» I think it was $ 4. Then on the way into the theater, we saw a water cooler at the other end of the bar. Thanks a lot, asshole. The seats were old and crappy too, just like most things in San Francisco. I’d expected that for roughly $ 100 a ticket, the seats would be at least as good as the ones in my high school auditorium, but apparently not.

Loved this venue! We went here after New Years for the Rancid show. The venue had a great line up that included the English Beat(brings back memories.) The venue is relatively easy to get to and I highly recommend marking in the Mission/5th parking structure across from the Westfield Mall. We got there at 8 and left at 11 and it only cost $ 6 to park. It also is super secure. As far as the venue, there is General admission, and you can get right down in the bit or there are multiple standing areas where you can get a good view of the show. There are also balcony seats if you’re willing to pay the cash. Overall, they also keep their costs low and make it affordable to attend a show. Please be aware their booze is expensive! A bud light and a Stella cost us $ 23.00, so drink before hand or wait until after the show. We will be back for another concert. I loved this place!

Nothing sucks more than a concert at the Warfield. Oh wait! There is. It’s getting harassed by panhandlers on this stretch of Market st. It’s the rude staff managing the lines. It’s the poor ventilation inside. If I want to go to a «historic» venue, I’d rather hoof it to Oakland and go to the Fox. Sound sucks too. I’m done!

Been here for many shows over the years. Marilyn Manson, Faith No More, Gogol Bordello etc. I love that they have a coat check that’s only a couple bucks per item. They can keep your coat obviously but they will also keep your merch for you witch is gold when you get a sweet poster or something of the like that you don’t want to carry around/possibly have ruined. I loathe the bar right inside the entrance, it causes such a mess of people standing around & blocking the hallway. That paired with the merch being right next to it causes my anxiety to go through the roof. Bad design. The staff here tends to be pretty cool. Unfortunately the crowds here tend to be full of douche bags as of late. Ugh. I prefer The Fox in Oakland since it reopened but the Warfield is a good venue to see music. BEWARE: There’s a strip club right next door and this is a pretty bad neighborhood, especially at night. Be prepared to be hastled by homeless people and the like. I wouldn’t advise walking anywhere around here at night. Pro tip: Stay at the Encore Express hotel when seeing shows here if you want a quick cheap Über ride to your show and a music-centric place to stay. It’s designed for bands but we love staying here.

Soooooo Many Incredible Shows Through The Years SITREP This is one of those cRaZy examples of a business/venue I’ve enjoyed — for more than 25 years that it obviously predates my being on Unilocal — and so it’s easy to take the business for granted(since I’m already very familiar with it) that I TOTALLYFORGET that I’ve never written a Unilocal review for it. Well, I will remedy that right now… THESETUP It really is hard for me now to try to keep of all the DOZENS of concerts & shows that I’ve enjoyed here through the last 25 years, but let’s start with the most recent show I just saw last Thursday night: NERO, a wonderful & very edgy British Electronic Music Trio — and my friend DMAK actually opened for them, which was a totally awesome experience to see! STAGE The Warfield was the perfect venue for NERO’s stage set-up which included massive light displays and strobes that accentuated the beats of the music. It was part gorgeous, part amazing, and part transcendent, and I doubt many other venues could have pulled off this feat, especially while allowing for the close proximity of the crowd — I was mere feet away from vocalist Alana. EARLIEREXPERIENCES Going back over the years, there have been countless fun times, but it’s only recently that I’ve been taking pictures at shows. I didn’t do that much back in the early 90s. * However when The Warfield was better at giving away souvenir posters at the end of shows(it doesn’t seem they do that much anymore), I grabbed them for shows like Gary Numen and for Siouxsie & The Banshees — in fact these two Warfield show-posters are framed together right above my desk! * I also had a fantastic time with my lovely friend Shana when we hit the Skinny Puppy /Frontline Assembly last year on December 19, 2014 — I will keep coming back to Warfield to see these musical gods: And you never know what kind of furries you will run into at a Warfield Show! THELOWDOWN A fantastic venue with lots of amazing style & history that I hope to keep coming back to.

The Warfield is, sadly, probably my least favorite venue for live music in San Francisco. The staff is rude. The hall feels cramped and crowded. The sound was terrible. And the security guards are not afraid of yelling at you or pushing people back once you set one foot into the marked emergency lane. I get it, dealing with enthusiastic(at best) or unreasonable drunks(quite often) sucks, but having nasty security guards doesn’t really help in preventing fights or rowdy behavior. Well, I guess they’ll figure it out. It was definitely my last time at the Warfield.

An amazing live music venue ! I experienced RavenEye and SLASH perform here on Oct 18th2015. Pros: Lovely venue. Good staff. 80’s feel. One can get up close to the performers. The staff does not push you out after the performance is finished. Cons: Finding Parking is a challenge. Only alcohol is served and no food. The location.

This place has a lot of memories for me. Saw my very first show here. Damn the place is a lot cleaner than I remember it LOL Drinks are overpriced but bartenders are kool Food ain’t that great but that actually isn’t priced too bad. $ 9 nachos fed the both of us, but my $ 8 margarita was the smallest I have ever had Seats are comfortable. Park carefully. We found a secure lot and just paid and walked a couple blocks. And actually because we had tix at will-call, we walked right the hell in.

I’ve come here a couple of time for different events, the most recent being the Epik High(My Loves). They first time I ended up in the upper sections, which was a bit cramped, but on the most recent visit, I was in the general admin area. I think the first floor is a lot more enjoyable in terms of experience, and when the concert let out, there were several exits so my sister and I could make a quick get away. I know the Warfield host a lot of Korean acts(2AM, Got7, etc.) which makes me happy that there is a venue so close to home :).

I will review this place for the concert we went to the other day, which is Epik High(korean). The place is located in the sketchy part of Market St, San Francisco. The location is very shady with loiters all around you so you have to be very aware about everyone and everything. The theater is very nice inside with very classic architecture design and displays. Although it can use a little updating, you can feel the deep roots this theater has witnessed and experience. The concert is very memorable for me since this is the band I have been longing to watch live. The acoustics and the sound system can use a little tuning and updating since their sound can be a bit distorted and harsh to hearing if the volume is high, but other than that the concert was Epik! The exit after concert was very frustrating because they only had 2 doors open so all of the concert goers were susceptible to pushing, shoving and possibly a stampede if something ever happened, so that was very annoying. Other than that, I had a very memorable experience watching the concert and if another artist worth going to will perform here again, then I might possibly come back.

The historic Warfield Theater was opened back in 1922 as a vaudeville and movie palace. Back in the days, I could see it being a grand theater with is ornate interior of marble, guilt and chandeliers, lyrical murals with a grand staircase leading to the balcony. Since 1979, the theater became a music concert venue. The theater is located a long block from the Powell St. BART/MUNI station, but not on the best part of Market St, so be wary of possible encounters during your walk to the theater.( ( ) My recent and first visit to the Warfield was not for a music concert, but for the comedy of George Lopez. After getting our tickets at will call, we checked out the photos and posters of acts that have played the Warfield. Men’s restrooms were in the located at both levels. The lobby level restroom had only one sink. What? Upgrades needed in the restrooms.( - san-francisco?select=yFJ4cnTNdg64rWhkOrblOw#x06oN2bZaRtUh_333xiuYw) Our seats were on the 7th row in the lower balcony, so the seats provided a good view of the stage. The seats? They are they tight. People back then must have been smaller. Just say the lady seated on my left encroached into my space for the evening. George Lopez? He gave a great comedic performance and had me busting up the entire time. Warfield? Grand ol’ theater that needs upgrading from restrooms to the seats.
