The Skullz press is the ultimate hipsters paradise. The ultra super cool things one would expect about the city can be seen here. Trendy fixed gear bikes check, cheap beer check, overly tattooed unemployed hipsters check, bad acoustic music check, weird pacifist Buddhist philosophies check, great art check. I usually stumble in after a good toronado session to wait out the buzz, but the hipsters get on me nerves after about five minutes. It seems that the more they try to be original the more they become the same. Kinda the point Warhol made with the brillo boxes. Ohh yea, it’s a crowed heavy on the vegan /​vegetarian thing which probably explains a lot since they’re sitting there eating carrot sticks with tecate… go figure !

Excellent free art show every first Friday. Mike Giant displays all his drawings, along with other guests sometimes. If you know Giant’s stuff then you know what to expect. His drawings are of course slanged away like the drug of choice for all art addicts with street flavor. He has amazing collections, and also an amazing swagg to go with it!!! Walked in last Friday and he had free beer, good times, and beautiful OG art. His art is going hella hard, and his clothes Rebel8 is a must in your closet. «Don’t sleep make art» is what you feel when your around his drawings!!!
