This year the Fall salon was held at the General’s Residence at Fort Mason. I had been to the international festival(held in March) and this was my first year at the Fall salon– it did not disappoint! Parking(as far as SF goes) was relatively easy to find on the street, and the salon was welcoming and spacious. There were around 20 – 30 vendors that included chocolate, jerky, and alcohol. I loved the intimate space and there were enough samples that by the end of it, I wasn’t sure if I ever wanted to see chocolate again! Please keep in mind– these are luxury chocolates; so if you’re not willing to spend over $ 10+ for five pieces, this isn’t the event for you. That said, the chocolates were fabulous! Not only in taste(there were some very unique flavors this year), but the decorations were gorgeous. I purchased a 24 assortment that will be a great gift for family and walked away with a few other goodies that will be great stocking stuffers. The vendors were knowledgeable about their items, friendly, and had a great assortment for all palates. Also, just a side-note for all you parents out there– my friends brought there one year old and a stroller, and there was plenty of room for them to push it around. I also think this would be a great spot to bring your kids(but considering I probably ate an entire bar of chocolate in samples alone, keep in mind they’ll probably have a terrible sugar rush afterwards!) Can’t wait to go again next year!
