My friends and I stumbled, quite literally, upon this store in a drunken haze of a scavenger hunt. Turns out the birthday girl frequents this place all the time and the owner, Robert Hemehill, recognized her right away. The funny thing was, he recognized me too because he also owns my favorite jewelry store, Monkey on Chestnut. «Aha!» I thought, «It all makes so much sense!» If you had to choose somewhere for the most random and unique items on a treasure hunt, this place would make everyone winners. Lucky for our team, we got there first! As you weave your way through the narrow entrance off of Columbus, just as suddenly as you entered the dimly lit hallway, the store opens up into a large room fit for the likes of Indiana Jones. I love the chill of excitement that this place puts in my spine. Everywhere you turn there is something unusual from countries and people you wish you could have met. The thought keeps running through your head, «Wow, I could actually own something so amazingly cool like this?» Some things are beautifully scary, others have so much detail you know that years ago it took the artist weeks maybe even months to create. Home to old skulls and masks from tribes you would expect to see in a museum, this place is a cave of treasures any history seeking adventurer could wish for!

Okay, this place blew me away. At first we almost walked by because it said«museum» and we figured we would have to pay. But, being adventurous, we entered anyway, and were rewarded for our bravery. The Dreaming Room houses a collection of objects you would normally see in a museum — except everything is for sale. If you’re ever wanted to own a shrunken head or African mask, this is your place. Most of the objects aren’t priced, but we inquired about a huge wooden head with antlers and it was $ 1200. I’m not sure what the going rate is for human skulls, etc, so I don’t know if this place is reasonable or overpriced. I DO know, however, that it is amazing. Step in and blow your mind.

Wow! This place is amazing… it is truly like entering another world. There are massive statues and interesting art throughout the store, along with beautiful unique jewelry from around the world. The owner is incredibly knowledgeable about the pieces and super cool. This is a awesome place to stumble upon randomly on a Friday night or anytime, and see what treasures await you!
