This café is a hidden gem in SF owned by the sweetest man Bob. For starters they have the best cappuccino I have ever drank. How do I know? There is no bubble in the foam and the coffee tastes great. The second best thing is the breakfast burrito! The secret is to add the hash brown! Makes it taste 5 times better. Thank you Bob!

Go for Bob. He owns the joint and is just about the friendliest guy ever and makes my mornings a bit brighter. The bagels and cream cheese are pretty yummy and sometimes, if you ask nicely, he’ll give you a little sample of a pastry. Bobs the best!

Wonderful staff, helpful, delicious food and coffee. Inexpensive too and will definitely return many times.

Good breakfast burritos and coffee. The breakfast burrito is customizable (hash browns, avocado, egg whites, black beans, etc.). You must get the green hot sauce. It is delicious. The basic burrito starts out with a whole wheat tortilla, eggs, cheese and pico de gallo. The place is tricky to find. There is a street level entrance but you must go through a lobby of escalators first.

Absolutely a wonderful find!!! It is at the bottom of One Maritime Plaza. It is not visible from the street.
The breakfast burritos rock, Very tasty and made to order with your choice of listed additions. the burrito starts at a base price (two choices of size) and comes with whole wheat tortilla, eggs, cheese and pico de gallo. You can add egg white, ham/​bacon, hash browns, black beans, green sauce, avocado and pickled jalapenos. Each for its own edition of price. I highly recommend the green sauce it is what makes the difference from all other breakfast burritos.
They also offer breakfast sandwiches in the same fashion. As well as fresh made pastries and such as well as cold cases with various drinks and other breakfast items. Oh and an espresso bar with great prices.
Bob the owner is very friendly. People that come in call him by name and he does the same to his regulars. When a new floor of construction began in One Maritime, he sent up a platter of goodies for us construction workers to sample, totally cool move. He now has new customers for life, I can speak for my co workers, they fell in love with this place too.

Just had an amazing breakfast burrito made by the sweetest people ever. I love that they keep the punch card thing with them so you don’t have to carry it around. What a great way to start a morning!

Very good soy lattes and pastries.
Believe they try to use organic ingredients for their baked goods.
Bob, the owner, is perhaps the most honest and welcoming person I’ve ever met at a café or restaurant. He takes care of his customers.

Excellent breakfast burrito. I like mine with avocado and their homemade green hot sauce. Espresso drinks are solid. The owner is a very gracious host and he knows all his regulars. Prices have gone up just a hair from when some of these older reviews were written due to increase in the owner’s supply costs but still the prices are more than reasonable. The shop is tucked away in the bottom of One Maritime Plaza but is worth finding for a simple to-​go breakfast to take with you to work. (I’m not quite sure if it is a cash-​only place, but there is an ATM inside too.)

Breakfast burrito costs $ 5.25 which includes eggs, salsa, hash browns and bacon wrapped with a whole wheat tortilla. Yummy, quick and friendly service.

Good people, coffee is just as good as any chain, donuts are from SF’s Bob’s Donuts! Get hash browns IN your breakfast burrito! Or try a veggie black bean & avocado burrito! You can’t go wrong here. Service with a smile, they’ll remember your order daily and if you’re lucky: Bob himself will bust your chops :) …or make your day somehow :)

Pretty cheap and tasty breakfast burrito (that was not messy to eat), but the lady who was manning the cashier the day I went had a bit of an attitude and didn’t seem to be very friendly (ie. when she was very set on giving me my coffee on the far side of the counter instead of just carrying it back over to the cashier side and told me that the coffee is on the other side in a annoyed voice). Not sure if I will come back.

Bob, you’ve got the best breakfast burrito arround here. I have tried to experiment with others… but you were always the best.
Not to mention you’re easy to talk to :) Your catering is not bad either.
I’m keeping this stop around.

Could get addicted to a $ 1.75 Americano. Includes a dash of sugar-​free syrup.
If not the coffee than certainly the ginger cookies. No harm no foul in having a cookie with breakfast.
Speaking of, they were out of parfaits but made up another when asked nicely. Strawberries and pineapple, granola, vanilla yogurt, thank you.
Friendly barista + all the above = should be a part of your daily routine.

you watch him as he rushes off the muni… walking up the left side of the escalator shaking his head in disgust at how slow the other «walkers» are walking. he bolts out the handicap gate and up the next escalator and you think to yourself «calm down… that neck tie must be way too tight!».
you emerge from the subway depths to find him still not that far ahead of you in a crazed zig zag, olympic speedwalking up davis. you can see his indecision as he appeeeaaaars to be entering any establishment that might serve coffee only changing his mind at the last second. you see him turn towards tully’s only to dart back to his original trajectory as he sees the line practically out the door. you see his head turn ever so slightly towards starbucks but he continues straight along the original path as if to say «i’m not desperate enough for that crap»…
… he disappears as you round the corner at clay and you assume he has disappeared in to 2e. you also sense some weirdo on a treadmill at club one checking you out. eww. as you approach the corner you see him backtracking up front street, his pace now a crawl. now with his head down, you knew he must have checked on the line at peet’s. dejected, he slowly climbs the steps until he checks his watch and resumes his 100m dash through the doors.
you think to yourself «self, if only he knew about ‘the daily habit’ tucked away in the bottom of our building.» SIX STARS for no line and some pretty darn good coffee…
… and if you are the beautiful woman on the 5^th floor (girl next door + super model all rolled in to one) that may have witnessed such a scene as the one described, i have finally found a convenient morning caffeine fix and i’m (ironically) less high strung when i’m completely wired.

They don’t call it the «Daily Habit» for nothing! I get my coffee and bagels here every single morning. The Hazelnut blend coffee is the bomb and I love their bagels. They have a large selection of breakfast foods and coffees. The owner, Bob, is so friendly and he knows everyone by name. My day wouldn’t be the same without it! Located in One Maritime Plaza on Front and Clay.
