Came here last Sunday after a boozy day of wine drinking in Napa the day before. Our friend, a SF local recommended it as good food and a nice ambiance(he was with us). The staff were fast to attend to us(party of 3) and we were seated at the table we requested, by the open doors but not outside(semi al fresco). The menu has everything! from eggs, to griddle, sandwiches, burgers, seafood. as plates went by everything looked so good so we decided to go with a few items: lox and cream cheese pizza bread, crab cakes, spinach & artichoke dip, scrambled eggs, hash browns and… mimosas! The food was delicious! everything came out on time and we were very happy. The mimosa not so great. the juice wasn’t fresh and I was surprised that they didn’t offer a weekend bottomless option. Nevertheless we were very happy and had a great meal, people watching and a beautiful start to our day in SF.

I was here on Saturday for dinner. They have an extensive cocktail menu so imaging they would be a good choice for happy hour as well. The service was slow, even water arrived late. Got the crab cakes and the grilled peppers as appetizers, both got praise from the whole table. I had the New York Steak wich was a good choice, the burger looked promising as well. Around 9:00 they dim the lights and turn on the music which was mainly catchy pop tunes. The people started dancing and singing along while still sitting at their tables & finishing up on dinner.

The bartender was SO unfriendly and atmosphere extremely cold and unwelcoming. Couldn’t wait to finish my drink and get out.

I’ve been for drinks at night 10+ times and it’s good. I went for brunch this Sunday and AWFUL. Literally inedible, no flavor and so oily. My friend got the breakfast burrito and when she picked it up, over ½ cup oil poured out. We couldn’t eat it and went to down the street to get actual breakfast after we paid $ 120 for 4 people.

Attempted to come here the Sunday of memorial day for brunch. Was not really busy, outside was but inside wasn’t. We stand at the hostess stand. The hostess comes over, doesn’t say anything, quickly walks away. Someone else comes up behind us, 2 people, she grabs menus, takes them, and still doesn’t say anything to us. We are really confused. Then, a couple comes from the back of the restaurant(where? we aren’t sure… secret entrance only important people know about?) She comes to get them menus, says to us «I’ll be right with you…» and then walks away to seat them. We then watch as she seats them, and walks to the back of the restaurant into the kitchen! We just walked out. Was so bizarre, and a bad look for service. We were wildly confused. We will not be going back again.

I love coming here to watch the basketball games! They have a big screen that bring down for these events. The food is good. We had a mix of things from the happy hour menu. My only complaint would be the caesar salad. I’m not sure if it’s because they put sardines on it, or in the dressing, but it was WAYYYY too much of that fishy taste. We had a few bites but had to stop eating it due to the fishiness. Otherwise, everything else was great! Will be back soon for the next game– go warriors!

I’ve passed by The Brixton on many weekends, and it always seems to be brimming with people. Turns out that was just the usual brunch crowd. Late one afternoon, I noticed the place was quite sparse. I was drawn to the spacious dining space with tall columns, damask wallpaper, and ample bar space. We stopped in for a super late lunch or maybe it was a super early dinner. I ended up ordering their Sunday prime rib meal. $ 25 Prime Rib — 14 oz prime rib w/stuffed baked potato & green beans: Though hearty and filling, I found it mediocre. The prime rib didn’t have much marbling, but had a decent amount of fat on the meat. Without the au jus, it would have been a little too dry and lackluster. I thought it could have used a little more seasoning as well. The baked potato with butter, sour cream, bacon and chives was not bad, while the green beans lacked flavor and tasted pretty waxy. Grilled Flank Steak with potatoes: The flank was cooked medium/medium-rare, and came out a lot juicier than the prime rib. However, I thought the portion was rather small. After consuming quite the meaty meal, I felt sufficiently full. The prices weren’t bad for beef, but I wouldn’t return for prime rib or steak. However, their cocktails and happy hour menu look more enticing.

I came here for brunch on Mother’s day, and it was meh. Service: Service was great, our waiter was super friendly and helpful. Food: This is where the stars start falling off. My mom and I ordered the veggie wrap, it was a good size, but lacked flavor and was SUPER watery. It was oozing with water, not even sauce, I think from the cooked veggies inside it. Not a fan of dripping food. Brothers ordered the french toast which was SUPERGOOD it had Nutella, Nutella makes everything better. Get this if you’re unsure. My bf ordered the salmon flatbread… they forgot it so it came out after all of us were halfway through our meal and it didn’t even taste toasted or anything, very plain and uncooked. Maybe that’s how it was supposed to be? But we weren’t fans. Ambiance: We sat outside and it was lovely, its such a beautiful neighborhood and we literally saw like 50 cute dogs walk by. I swear they’re more of an accessory than a pet in this neighborhood lol. Inside the restaurant is super cool too. YOUCANGOONGOOGLEMAPSANDLOOKINSIDETHERESTAURANT. SOCOOL. I’d come back for a drink and some french toast, but the other food we tried was disappointing especially for the price tag :/

Really loved the look of this spot. Cool music posters everywhere and dimmed lighting. Good beer selection. But the food was just ok, especially for its price. The people were pretty stuck up, not the workers but the customers. I was pushed aside by a guy in a suit and he didn’t apologize.

Awesome brunch place. Lots of seating and outdoor seating as well. It opens at 11am if you get there right away there isn’t a wait, so that’s super! Pretty good variety of brunch/lunch items to choose from. I really enjoyed my breakfast wrap(normally comes with just egg whites, but I like the flavor of the whole egg, and they were nice enough to let me to make that change.)

I been coming here for years but normally for drinks and small bites. Came here on a Sunday afternoon after soul cycle with my friends. Their brunch menu is pretty good. I got the pull pork hash. ***Carnitas Hash made with wild slow roasted beer-braised pork shoulder with fried yukon gold potatoes. Topped with a poached egg, crispy corn tortilla strips, avocado mousse, and cilantro. Very tasty and the portion size is pretty big. The pork was not dry. My favorite thing that day was their hashbrowns. I love their hashbrowns! Don’t laugh, looks like the McDonald ones but its so good. Not over fried and had a good crisp to them. YUM! We also order the ***Fresh Blue Crab Benedict. Not bad. comes with Salad, Hash or Homemade Potatoes. The food came out at a reasonable time but they forgot our fries. The fries are delicious. It’s funny tho that the two cooked/hot dishes came out before the salmon bread. The Lox Pizza Bread was not that good. Services was okay. We did have to ask the server for water a few times.

Used to love this place but less than good experience this time. Went for brunch and ordered the yogurt granola parfait and the lox pizza bread. The parfait was decent but not enough yogurt at all. Stay away from the lox pizza bread. The salmon was funky and there was not enough cream cheese at all. It just tasted off. Also, the service was extremely slow. We were clearly done and no one came to clear our plates or ask if we wanted anything else for about thirty minutes. Lastly, way over-priced.

Slow to nonexistent service, I wouldn’t bother with this place, way too many better options within walking distance. The space itself, was nice, great table arrangements along with stylish, dark minimalist décor. I did get a chance to checkout their menu before we gave up & left, and there was an interesting selection of food items along with a tempting craft cocktail menu as well. Sadly, I highly doubt I can talk our group into giving this place another try, like I said, the city offers way too many wonderful options. And bad service, should never be ignored.

Went here last Thursday for dinner for a GNO. We ordered the miso ahi tuna salad, blackened mahi mahi, pasta carbonara and fries because one of my friends said their portions weren’t big. Just as I expected, we couldn’t finish everything. The portions were decently sized and the food was delicious and full of flavor in every bite. We also had two rounds of margaritas. I could say that I’ve had better. No complaints in the service. Everyone was very attentive and friendly. I’ll definitely come back here again and won’t be ordering too much so I can savor the flavor instead of getting stuffed.

Decent food, better than other reviewers wrote. Cool, relaxed vibe for lunch, good for people watching. Prices are affordable at ~$ 10 – 17 for lunch. Fresh flower at each table.

Food was ok, service was good, dog-friendly(heated!) outdoor seating was great! We both had the $ 14 vegan black bean/quinoa/chickpea burgers on acme buns. The buns were very soft and the burger patties were flavorful but mushy and fell apart on us. After a few bites we had to eat them with forks. My sister’s came with thin, crispy, surprisingly not greasy sweet potato fries. Mine came with a side salad that was nothing special, just greens and vinaigrette, and appeared to have bacon pieces mixed in(good thing I’m no longer vegetarian!) The burgers came with a delicious ketchup, which almost seemed homemade, and a garlic mayo. The burgers were definitely overpriced, but I chalked it up to it being the Marina. The waiter was nice enough to bring a makeshift water bowl for my dog(takeout container) and we had a good time people watching.

Great venue – wonderful staff and the food was excellent. My Holiday Party was booked at the Brixton this year. We had the whole place to ourselves. Carving stations were set up with incredibly, moist sliced beef with all of the trimmings. Demoned eggs, lobster rolls, pork sliders and just about every other item on their menu was served either buffet style or butlered throughout the evening. Clap! Clap! Clap! to the entire staff – they rocked! I have to admit that Cow Hollow isn’t a neighborhood that I often find myself in but I cannot wait to return.

Better make reservations even for brunch otherwise you have to eat at the bar which is bar plus that long communal table behind it. I hate making reservations so ended up at the bar. It’s pretty loud inside there so hard to hear whoever you’re eating with. Prime rib Sun — only available for dinner — bummed out, not for brunch. Since I had a gift certificate we ordered a bunch of stuff: coffee — black coffee is $ 3. Yikes! Hubby got it and said just ok. French Dip $ 14 — nice meat & cheese sandwich, au jus was pretty gross though, side salad was meh. Grilled hanger salad $ 17 — steak and potato w/green beans, just a serving of steak size of deck of cards, 1 – 2 fingerling potatoes, some green beans and lots of white sauce. Gimlet $ 12 — damn expensive, hubby liked Deviled egg w/dungeness crab $ 9 — 2 cage-free eggs cuz up and mashed up w/tiny amount of crab. Salty, but I still liked it. Butterscotch pot de crème $ 7 — tiny portion I thought, tasted ok. Subtotal $ 62 + $ 5.42 tax = $ 67.42. Tip we paid cash. Separate bathrooms in the back Left side. I have some money left on my gift card so will be back. Hope to try Ahi tuna salad next time.

The Brixton is a solid drinks & grub spot. More for drinks, less for grub. When they first opened, it was all about the starters(mac & cheese) & the burger. I loved that they played classic rock. It was way too loud for conversing, but I didn’t mind because I was just thrilled to be hearing Whitesnake. Forward to the addition of weekend brunch. If you find yourself in Cow Hollow(this is not the Marina, the Marina is north of Lombard) on a weekend morning, this is the hub. The stars here are definitely the cocktails. Whether it’s brunch or pre/post dinner drinks, this place just rocks. They play great music, the room is jumpin, the vibe is all positive. Dark wood & sexy booths round out the evening mood. The food itself is… okay. The demoned eggs didn’t impress. I love crab, but found these to be lackluster. The meatballs I had for lunch were zesty & hearty, but a bit bland. That’s pretty much the ticket here. Stick w the staples if you’re hungry, & enjoy the drinks. 3& ½ stars.

Checked this spot out for early Sunday dinner and drinks while visiting a friend. We had a group of 5 and were easily accommodated. Had a great cocktail list and the menu also had a good variety as well. We ordered a few different things– the demoned eggs– nothing too special about these The fried chicken salad– chicken was crispy and warm and really liked the crisp green beans in the salad. Wish there would’ve been a bit more dressing. Spicy Mac and cheese– came out bubbling! Was different but tasty Pretzel bites– pretty standard Chicken entrée– didn’t try but my friend loved Overall food and service was good. My reason for not giving another star was due to a cleanliness issue. The back of the kitchen is totally exposed and we ended up watching multiple staff eat dead food and not wash their hands after. Just simply stand and wait to run food or get sauces. Kind of gross and really if you’re gonna let the staff eat food put a curtain up!!!
