This place is very good and customer service is excellent. Roti is world class!

I think I ordered the duck curry, hard to say since there was almost no duck in it. The curry container was only half full, so my initial fear was that I wouldn’t have enough curry for the rice I ordered. But I shouldn’t have worried, cause thankfully they took care of that too! The pint of rice I ordered was only ¼ full! I have never seen a place give ¼ a pint of rice in a full pint box before. Well, at least I didn’t have any extra rice leftover.

Where is my meat!!! I really wanted to like this place. We live decently close and I love Thai food; especially Thai noodles! We’ve only gotten delivery from this place a few times and they’re pretty quick, but it has gotten progressively more terrible. The first time, the meat was tender and nicely seasoned, but the last two times it’s been bland and tastes OLD. Here’s what we’ve tried so far: Spring Rolls: bland, greasy, not great Garlic and black pepper Beef and Chicken: Not bad, decent meat, bland, TINYPORTION. Literally 10 tiny pieces of meat on top of soggy cabbage. For $ 7.50, this doesn’t even come with rice? That’s just Outrageous! Chicken Pad See Ew: I really enjoyed it the first time, but the last two times it was Mushy and tasted very old. Did they give me someones noodles that weren’t picked up a week ago? Also, a pretty small portion.(Maybe this is a delivery problem?) House Special Fried Rice: Again I had to dig around for meat and it was pretty bland. Everything seemed to much together again. I feel like I keep repeating myself, but it was not great. No flavor. I’m actually impressed. How can fried rice have no flavor? Sticky Rice: Super dried out, hard to bite into! Total Summation: BLAND + small portions + inconsistent = Never Again.

I want to commend Thai Noodle Jump for not only making some incredible spring rolls for my business party, but also getting them prepared and ready in a time and manner that accommodated my needs. I had a last minute order and TNJ made sure that it was ready to go. No fuss no muss. Thank you!

This place is 2 blocks away from where I live, and I order delivery. Yes, I do this on my lazy nights. There has been a few of these nights :) I don’t recall ever having an amazing dish here, but I wanted to give it another shot tonight. Ordered on They were quick. Came in 30 minutes instead of the 40 – 50 minutes estimated delivery time. The delivery guy was nice. For $ 19 plus tip, I got the Tom Kha Ga soup, cucumber salad, and mango w/sticky rice. They deliver for free with an order of $ 15+ Cucumber salad was small. Dinky for $ 2 Mango sticky rice was deeeeeee-li-cious and a decent portion for $ 4.50 Shrimp Tom Kha Ga soup could have used a little more coconuty and a little less saltiness. The spices were there, but it tasted very salty with a tangy kick, which overpowered the coconut flavors. I would not order this item again. Overall, I might still be guilty or ordering from this place again the next time I’m feeling lazy and craving Thai food. I will probably stay away from the soups, and return to the mediocre noodles. But I’m definitely onto that yummy mango sticky rice!

Thai Noodle Jump SF: Inner Richmond Sunday March 4, 2012 Four Stars [SF#12] Grub Hub Delivery. We were too tired to leave the house, so we ordered out for Thai. I had the Pad See Ew which I asked for Spicy but apparently they are not able to do that. Their sauteed mixed Veggies really made me happy because my weekend meals have consisted of alcohol and meat. Overall, I loved it.

Update: Small portions for price equates to bad value… But the lunch special everyday for $ 5.99 is very good! Really nice people run this place and are just trying to make a living in a hard town. I believe this place is phasing out of «Thai Noodle Jump» to «Kaminari» which means lighting bolt. The new Kaminari menu is just an updated version of Thai Noodle Jump’s menu with select sushi nights as the new chef has sushi training. Anyway, for 8 bucks on a hot and hungry Wednesday afternoon I popped in and picked up a big, flat to go container of Pineapple Fried Rice. The woman who took my order was pleasant and languid as I was her only customer. Kaminari claims they will deliver to certain area for orders over $ 10. While the pineapple fried rice hit the spot and was loaded with yummy vegetables and tofu I realized that it tasted a whole lot like pad thai noodles… must be the peanut oil, the wok breath, and generally the same cooking method.

This is a great little Inner Richmond nugget! The food is delicious, cheap and plentiful and it is fast! I am a particular fan of their noodle dishes. They get the Pad-See-Ew just perfect. The noodles have that quality somewhere between chewy and al dente where they just melt in your mouth! The service is always fast and pleasant. You will not be disappointed with this restaurant.

Here I am, on my couch, on a Sunday, after the big holiday party. Football on the teev, laptop on the lap, nothing feels right because I’m hungover as heyyyyll and can’t decide what to eat. Thank you Thai Noodle Jump for being a block away and allowing me to order for pickup without moving too vigorously. Also, thank you for having spicy Thai noodles that are actually spicy, with generous portions of delicious noods and piquant pieces of chicken. Thank you for probably having the game on when I stop by to pick up my meal in five minutes. Don’t change.

Cheap and delicious. I always have to make a trip to this restaurant when I’m visiting my sister in San Fran. I’ve had my fair share of Thai Food in the Orange County/Los Angeles County areas, and this place is comporable to some of the best Thai places down here. Everything we’ve had here is very flavorful. Service is not bad for a small restaurant. Favorites: Yellow Curry, Panang Curry, Pad See Ew and Spicy Mussels.

Our group went in for a simple, homey dinner. The menu is straightforward, nothing out of the ordinary. The fried rice was bland on two accounts. Both the pineapple fried rice and Chinese sausage fried rice looked mighty appealing, but didn’t actually taste like much despite the browned rice. The duck noodle soup was 90% noodle and 10% duck with a little spinkle of scallions. It was all in a clear broth. One would say it’s too bland, but bland is what I needed. I appreciate that. Unfortunately, they ran out of the type of noodle I requested, so I went with my second choice, which is still good. Our server seemed very apologetic, but there really was no need for that. Even though it was a relatively busy night for them, service was good.

Ugh, too salty! I got the bamee wonton, which had egg noodles, moo dang pork, and a couple«shrimp» wontons in very strong broth. The noodle soups come in giant oblong bowls and I think are much more food than the rice lunch specials, but I didn’t finish my bowl because the flavors suddenly got just too overwhelming midway through. It’s a tiny room and I think a family affair – the waitress girl is really quiet and cute. Pros for the home-y service and cheap prices(~$ 7 lunch tax/tip included), but I would not come back again. Maybe I’m just spoiled with the numerous Thai places in Berkeley. Not much selection around the CA Academy of Sciences.

$ 5-something thai dishes during the day– their lunch special, the normal thai dish, but lunch portions. I know my «portions» usually equal several meals. This spot, conveniently located across from my current living space, has a great little lunch portion… that DID last for two whole meals. Seriously. I thought this was better than Marnee Thai, which I also do love. This place is here on Balboa, less traffic than the Sunset scene, but much more flavorful as far as the Green Curry is concerned. Noodle jumping across the street next week for some Pad Thai…

Excellent but hidden in the Thai neighborhood at 7th and Balboa, near the De Young. It is worth the walk.

Every time I’ve gone here, it’s been totally and completely empty. Well, except for the workers. I actually haven’t been here in a really long time, and still haven’t. This past Sunday I was craving some Pad Thai. It was cold. It was rainy. I needed food. A rose up to the challenge and headed out in the rain to the nearest Thai restaurant — Thai Noodle Jump. He was back in about 20 minutes with Pad Thai for me and Prik King for him. My Pad Thai was good and he seemed to enjoy his Prik King. I mean, he ate every last bite and slurped up all the sauce as well. That must mean it’s good. Thai Noodle Jump isn’t the best Thai restaurant around, but it’s close-by, it’s inexpensive, and the food is decent.

I am a regular here. I love it. I’ll eat here with friends because it’s close by and affordable. I love the Spicy Noodle here with beef. It has an amazingly different taste compared to other places that do a Pad Kee Mao. The noodles are cooked very well and taste very good with the vegetables it comes with. I’ve had better noodles of course, but let’s be honest, it’s way better than the thai places all along geary or clement. Parking is fairly easy around here, too. Try finding that in a restaurant along Geary or Clement… For the people who actually complain about this restaurant, just remember that there are perks to being a regular here. I came here to keep a friend company and had no appetite but the friend insisted I order food anyway. I barely touched my food and the waitress and chef immediately questioned if it was the way it was prepared… I simply explained that I didn’t have an appetite that day. How many other places will ever worry, regular or not? To the people who sit waiting for a check will always just sit, in my opinion. If you want your check, in ANY restaurant, not just this one, you should ASK for it. It’s a small restaurant, and while we don’t like being ignored, these people actually don’t mind regulars sitting there for an hour or so either… while other restaurants tend to rush you out the door. As for the delivery, it is quick and efficient. When I don’t want to leave the house, I order and it arrives with no bother. I’d definitely recommend this place as a local favorite…

I wanted to like you, since you are so close by. Unfortunately, a few factors stood in the way of a burgeoning relationship. 1. We were the only customers for most of our dinner. Eating in a wide open empty restaurant just makes me sad, and incidentally makes me start to whisper 2. Even the $ 5 dishes made me think«this is really not worth the money». If my bill for two is under $ 20 and I still think I wasted money, that is not a good sign. 3. Hardly any basil in the Crispy Basil dish? Sad. Also ordered the Pad See-Ew. In the time we were there, two single men came and got Pad See-Ew to go. Which prompts me to believe that is their best dish. Which in turn, made me sad while I was eating. However, they seem to just be down on their luck, and trying to expand their business. The whole affair just struck me as sad. Not bad Thai food… just not great. Best of luck, Thai Noodle Jump – I hope you find someone new.

I have a few Chinese friends who don’t like eating Chinese food. When you’re near the deYoung museum and don’t feel like walking very far to eat, your options are limited when it comes to restaurants. Fortunately for one of my friends, Unilocal suggested Thai Noodle Jump as a nearby non-Chinese joint. When we walked in around 4:30 pm, there was no one else in the shop. The people who ran the place were in the back, chatting. I finally peeked inside, and a woman came out and gave us menus and glasses of water. The menu selection is quite large, and everything is fairly cheap(under $ 10). Their appetizers range from $ 5 – 8, and their noodle dishes were all around $ 7⁄8. They also had beef, lemongrass chicken, and your usual Thai fare, but all very reasonably priced. I went with the Pad See Ew($ 7.50) with pork, and the first thing I noticed was that it was lighter in color than the other Pad See Ews that I’ve eaten. The noodles were a soft, chewy texture and the flavor was one of the best I’ve had. However, the pork wasn’t cooked with any seasoning; it’s as if they’d cooked it plain, and then threw it in with the noodles. When it was eaten with the noodles it tasted okay, but by itself, it was pretty flavorless. My friend ordered the Pad Thai with shrimp, and it was also a relatively large portion. He appeared to like it, and when he gave me some of his tofu(seriously, who doesn’t like tofu?!), I thought it was really good; it was the right amount of chew and flavor. We also split the spring rolls, and they were AWESOME. I have to say that the Pagan Burmese & Thai still has THE best vegetarian spring rolls, but these were a close second. They’re small enough to split into 2 or 3 small bites, and the sauce was on the sweet, honey-like side. Mmmm. Best part of the meal. Unfortunately the service kind of sucked. You’d think that they’d be more attentive when we were the only customers in there, but our water glasses sat empty on several occasions, and it took awhile to get their attention for our check. Oh, and their bathroom door is kind of hard to open, so for about 3 minutes I thought I was stuck inside. Overall it was a good experience, and I wouldn’t mind going back if I’m in the area. I’ll just pee beforehand.

We were hungry. It was close to half-time. The Nuggets were up. So were my spirits. We call in our order. They said 10 minutes. Everything was according to plan. We got there right after half-time. We each had a $ 20 for our $ 7.95 order. They split up the bill just fine, though it took way longer than necessary. People that came in after us were served first, because they had a credit card ready. Boo. Someone needs to retake Customer Service 101. We had two orders of pad thai and an order of fried chicken over fried rice. Everything was bland, and in desperate need of sriracha sauce. Definitely won’t be ordering from them again.
